Sterling's POV:
I coughed a little at Hunter's words. He was talking about Eden and me. Of course, he was… As much as I would love to have a kid, I knew we weren't ready for that, yet.

Hunter’s POV:
I chuckled quietly, shaking my head. Kenzie offered me a glare, silently telling me to behave myself. I pressed a kiss to her cheek, smiling softly. I was probably going too far in teasing the kids, but could you blame me? I was like this. Especially since it was my daughter.
“Ah, Kenzie and I prepared food,” I said, suddenly remembering. “We’re all here now, and I’m sure you kids are tired and hungry.”
I looked at Eden’s new friends and gave them a polite smile.
“If you’d like, I can have your things delivered to the hotel you’ll be staying that,” I said to them. “If not, you can keep them in the car until you’re refreshed enough for another ride.”
(Just gonna let Topaz respond first…)
(Just gonna let Topaz respond first…)
(All right~)
(Sorry)
“Oh, we wouldn’t want to be a bother,” I told Mr. McArthur quickly, shifting nervously on my feet. I didn’t like being an inconvenience to anyone, and the fact that three of the richest families in the country were standing right in front of me was… daunting, to say the least.
Hunter’s POV:
“No, I insist,” I said, smiling. “You’re our daughter’s friends. Besides, you wouldn’t want to miss the food, would you?”
Gray, my daughter’s other friend, finally looked at me in the eyes.
“We don’t really want to be a bother…” he repeated Violeta’s words. “Eden and Sterling have done enough for us. We don’t want to intrude in your family’s moment.”
Kenzie’s POV:
I smiled gently at the young man and women my daughter and her boyfriend had befriended. They looked so star-struck. Honestly, I wish I could say that I was surprised, but with the reputations of the three families surrounding them, I couldn’t be.
“It’s no trouble at all. Please, join us. We’d love to have you,” I assured them.
I hesitated, not wanting to decline again for fear of coming off as rude, but at the same time afraid that we would be intruding on their personal lives. “It’s a very kind offer for you to make, thank you,” I said politely but sincerely. “I’m happy to accept if Gray is too.”
Hunter’s POV:
The boy, Gray, looked Violeta before at Kenzie and I.
“If you insist…” he said softly. Honestly, I wasn’t surprised Eden and Sterling didn’t mention us at all, but clearly they could have given these kids a warning. They wouldn’t have been so surprised had they known beforehand.
“We came in different cars,” I started even though it was obvious. “But who wants to go with who? We’re all going to the same place, anyway.”
Sterling’s POV:
“I’ll ride with my parents. I’d like to catch up with them a little,” I said, earning a wide smile from my mother.
Eden’s POV:
“Gray and Violeta can come with us,” I said, looking up at my father. “We’ve got enough space in our car, right? If we don’t, Luke can hitch a ride with Uncle Leo.”
Lucas glared at me.
“Hey! How rude,” he scowled, crossing his arms. “I don’t mind going with them, anyway. You’ll miss my company.”
I snorted, shaking my head, saying nothing.
Dad paid us no attention, clearly used to the way we argued. He knew that, in the end, we’d end up staying awake all night together.
“All right,” he said. “Let’s go, then.”
He walked forward to grab the suitcases. Once Lucas and Gray realized what he was doing, they, too, went up to join him.
(Skip to when they arrive at the estate?
Not it~!)
(I can go~)
Gray’s POV:
I swear to God, the McArthur Estate was anything but normal. Though it wasn’t as extravagant as I imagined it to be, it was still beyond my imaginations.
I couldn’t believe I was sitting in the car of the Hunter McArthur. I was a lucky idiot. Finally, Mr. McArthur parked the car, stepping out of the car. A servant walked up to him and Mr. McArthur handed him the keys, briefly explaining to him about how mine and Vy’s suitcases needed to be taken to the hotel.
“Don’t worry,” Eden said to us, a smile on her face. “My family’s really warm. You’ll enjoy your time here. And remember, don’t ever hesitate to tell me if you’re uncomfortable.”
Sterling’s POV:
I was the only one who drove with my parents, but that was fine with me. It was nice to get some one-on-one time with them. We caught up on some stuff, and I let them know some of my plans for the future. They seemed to like them, so that was good to know.
Eden's POV:
I clung to my boyfriend, groaning in disappointment as he sat up. I covered my mouth as I yawned, resting my head on his shoulder.
"I don't know…" I murmured. "I'm not really up for breakfast…"
Unfortunately, my eating habits remained the same. There were lots of traits I got from my father, but apparently, his gluttonous habits weren't one of them. I couldn't eat very well in the morning, and the rest of the day, I would just eat bits and pieces. Sterling didn't like that habit. Often times, he would coax me into eating, and I would comply. Sometimes I wondered if it was because I loved it when he fed me, but I wouldn't agree with it nor will I say it out loud.
(Flashback to when Eden didn't eat much… And then she had to tempt Sterling. Lol.)
(Lol)
I nodded, eyes slightly glazed over. “I, uh, don’t think we’ll be uncomfortable,” I managed in reply, my smile bright but dazed. “Thank you for…. all of this, really.”

(Yes~ she’s slowly eating better~)

Eden’s POV:
“Yeah, you’ve done a lot for us, Eden,” Gray agreed, wrapping an arm around Violeta’s shoulders. “Thank you.”
“We’re friends,” I responded with a smile. “I… Er, I wanted you to be happy. I know there are things that bother both of you. Think of this as a vacation.”
I pulled my rounded eyes away from the huge estate and fixed them back on Eden, nodding along to what Gray had just said.
“We can’t thank you enough,” I told her warmly in response. “Can I… Can I give you a hug?”
Eden’s POV:
I was a bit surprised at her request, but I ended up nodding with a smile.
“Yeah, you can,” I replied, opening my arms for her. “You can always hug me.”
My tentative smile gave way to a much larger one as I leaned forward to envelope her in a warm, meaningful, classic-Violeta hug.
Eden’s POV:
I hugged her back tightly, breathing in deeply. My shock doubled when Gray wrapped his arms around us, too, but I relaxed. I didn’t dislike it.
Hunter’s POV:
I saw Violeta pull Eden into a hug, smiling softly at the sight. Then Gray joined the hug, practically lifting the two off of the ground. I was so grateful that my daughter managed to find wonderful friends.
When she’d gotten hurt, she built a wall around herself. She barely ate, barely smiled. Things were rough. Then Sterling came along and she began to smile brighter, showing emotions I didn’t think I’d see again on her. And now she was opening up her circle. She was finding people who cared about her.
I was more than proud.
I pulled Kenzie towards me, pressing a kiss to her temple.
“I’m so proud of her,” I said to her softly.
I let out a laugh when I felt Gray’s strong arms around us both, the tips of my toes almost leaving the ground. “I’m definitely hugging you more often,” I informed Eden, simultaneously joking but sincere.
Gray’s POV:
I half-expected Eden to reject my joining the hug, but she didn’t. She chuckled at Violeta’s statement, too.
“I’d like that,” she said softly. “Just be careful not to surprise me. I might accidentally throw you off my shoulder.”
I pulled away from the hug, raising my eyebrows.
“Honestly, I don’t even doubt that,” I told her and she snorted.
“Come on in,” Eden murmured, pulling out of the hug. “Also, Vy… My dad has a lot of artwork. You can look at them if you’d like. He won’t mind.”
My snort echoed Eden’s. “Duly noted. I will not approach you from behind,” I chuckled, leaning back and into Gray. When she mentioned her father’s artwork, my whole face lit up, a huge grin curving my lips. “Really? That’d be okay with him?”
