Kore arrived at HQ and was immediately ushered to a back room where, not a hero was sitting, but a villain battered and bruised. She assumed that the villain had gotten injured during a fight and went to heal him ignoring the way he was tied up willingly. It was probably to make sure he didn't escape. Probably.
(do you want me to be the villain, or nah?)
Adrian continued to work for a while, before packing up and leaving the library.
(If you want to be. Kinda why I left it open ended lol)
(lol alright)
The villain glared at her through narrowed eyes, but relaxed as the healing took effect.
Phoenix flowed her healing power into him until the other hero in the room put his hand on her shoulder. She whipped her head towards him to tell him she had just barely healed him but something in his gaze told her that was the point.
The villain's eyes flashed between the two.
The male hero, Siren, gestured for Phoenix to leave the room, and with that, he turned back to the villain, "So where were we? Ah yes, you were about to tell me what you villains are doing with all those weapons you've been collecting."
The villain gave him a slow, calm smile. "I'm sure." he replied, eyes only half open. The villain was slim and willowy, with the kind of frame that looked breakable.
Siren frowned as he pulled back out a bloodied knife, "You brat. You should be grateful I let you be healed at all. So tell me where the fuck those weapons are?"
He cleared his throat. "Up. Your. Ass." he replied with a laugh.
Siren snarled at this and slashed at the villain's face with the knife. A movement he has done plenty of times before.
Umbra just laughed, even as he began to bleed again. "Pathetic."
Siren growled again as he began wailing at Umbra with the knife and his fists. He had a very short temper understandably.
Umbra just kept laughing, even when his laughter began to be interupted by faint sounds of pain.
Phoenix waited outside until one of the other heroes told her to go patrol. They didn't need her here anymore. She pursed her lip, but followed orders anyway.
Siren kept going even when he could tell Umbra was starting to slip. Good.
Umbra was bleeding, leaning back into the seat and taking the blows. He was still laughing. Not the mocking laughter of Sorrow, but just…laughter.
Siren finally stopped his assault a dark grin on his face, "Want to talk now?"
Umbra took a moment to get a hold of himself. "Nah. Thanks."
Siren growled once more and lost his cool going for the throat of Umbra.
Umbra closed his eyes, silent this time.
"Talk or I'll keep you on the edge of death for as long as I please," Siren growled out pulling his blade away.
Umbra hummed for a long moment. "Shall I tell you about the hamster I owned as a child?" he asked, humor dry and difficult to manage, but he was still mocking Siren. "She lived for about three years. Very small and cute and fluffy, like any hamster is."
Siren growled once more before finally just ending the villain's life. He wasn't going to get anything out of him anyway.
Umbra let out a cracked laugh as teh breath left his body, eyes fixed on Siren as they glazed over in death.
Siren glared down at him leaving the body in the room as he left. While that was happening Phoenix had made her rounds around the city spotting no trouble so far.
