(Hmmm mkay!)
It was a bright early morning. Alex had gotten up early to avoid the heat wave in the area, to find a good seat, too.
(Hmmm mkay!)
It was a bright early morning. Alex had gotten up early to avoid the heat wave in the area, to find a good seat, too.
Autumn sat in the spot she had just a few days prior, sipping a cup of iced coffee as she looked down at her phone. One of her movies had just been released, and the reviews were going crazy. Some people loved it, while others didn't much care for it. That was the way it was, though, so she was used to it by now.
Alex relaxed into a booth this time, pulling his laptop out of a sidebag. He set it down with a click. He opened it, typed in his password and put his headphones on.
Autumn glanced up from her phone to look around the room. Her eyes landed on someone familiar, and she smiled a bit. She stood and made her way over to the booth Alex had sat in, tapping his shoulder to get his attention.
Alex jumped and his headphones fell off of his head. “No-no autographs or pictures- oh…” He shook his head. “Sorry! You gave me one damn of a fright!”
Autumn chuckled and smiled at him.
"Sorry about that. What are you working on, there?" she asked, moving so that she stood in front of him, rather than behind.
“Just music.” He grinned. “The new ones for my next album. It’s being released soon!” His face fell. “I still don’t… have a producer, though, so I’m swamped in work…”
Autumn clicked her tongue, giving him a sympathetic look.
"Darn… Did you happen to call MJ, yet?" she wondered. "He could probably help you find one."
“What? Oh! I totally forgot about him! I could call him now.” He tugged out his phone.
"You do that," Autumn laughed. "Tell him Autumn gave you his number."
“Why don’tcha stay here and say hi!!?” He grinned at her.
(I feel like he talks like a European and a Minnesotan combined…)
Autumn shrugged and sat across from him.
"Why not. I'm free for a while."
(That would be cool. It’s kinda how I talk so it reflects a lot on my RPing.)
Alex searched through his contacts and found the unfamiliar one, then tapped ‘Call’. “So, when will he answer?”
(Being from MN, I can fairly say stuff like that without stereotyping us. Lol.)
Autumn shrugged. "It depends on if he's busy or not. If he is, then he might not even answer."
(xD. Also, who should write MJ?)
Alex hummed nervously, fiddling with his fingers. He shut his laptop gently, waiting.
(I mean… I can? That way you don't have to write giant blocks if stuff.)
After the fifth ring, a deeper make voice answered the phone.
"Jacobson speaking, may I ask who's calling?"
(Imean… I could too, I don’t mind writing a lot.)
Alex cleared his throat. “Hi, this is Alexander Langton, calling for some producing help.”
(Nah, it's cool.)
"May I ask how you got my personal number, Mr. Langton?" MJ asked.
Alex grinned. “A lovely lady named Autumn gave it to me.” He glanced up at Autumn.
Autumn looked at her phone and pretended she hadn't heard the comment, though her red cheeks gave her away.
"Of course she did…" MJ sighed. "She really needs to stop doing that with every 'new talent' she finds. What can you do, Mr. Langton?"
“I need some assistance on producing a new album, and was turning to you for assistance.” Alex put on his Mr. Buisness Man voice again.
"An album… You are a musician, then? I may be able to help with that. What genre?" the manager asked.
“Yep. I specialize in Rock.” Alex grinned. “This will be my second album, though.”
"Why don't you cone to my office sometime and we can talk this over," MJ suggested. "When can you get to LA?"
“Yes, I can. What’s the address of your building?” Alex knew LA very well, so he wasn’t scrambling to grab a pencil and paper.
