Alex chuckled too. “I’m about an 8 on the excited scale.”

"Really? You're excited to shop?" Autumn asked, tilting her head to the side. "Most guys aren't…"

Alex grinned at her. “When are you going to realize I’m not like most guys?”

"Oh, I already have," Autumn chuckled. "You just still surprise me sometimes."

Alex gave a gentle laugh. “I’m sure I’ll give you a lot more shocks.”

"I bet you will. And I'm sure I'll surprise you, too," Autumn said with a smirk and a wink.

Alex blinked at her a couple times and smiled shyly. “That’d be fun to discover.”

Autumn chuckled. "Anyway, how close are we? To the shop, I mean."

“Um….” He looked up at the driver.
“Ten minutes,” they chimed happily.

"All right, nice," Autumn said, nodding. "So, besides your band, what do you like to do?"

Alex gave a slight laugh. “Nothing! Other than writing and performing.”

"Really? You don't even, like, read or something?" Autumn asked.

“Well, I never have time.” He gave a slight grin.

"None? At all?" Autumn gave him an odd look. "How is that possible?"

“Writing and making your own brand of music takes up a lot of my time,” Alex calmly explained.

"I suppose it does…" Autumn acquiesced. "But you can give yourself a break every once in a while, you know."

Alex smiled. "I am giving myself a break!"

"And how long ago before you met me did you last take a break?" Autumn asked, raising an eyebrow.

Alex frowned a little. “I’m… I’m not sure.”

Autumn sighed.

"Well… Then it's a good thing I showed up, isn't it?" she joked.

Alex laughed. “I suppose so. If you didn’t, I’d be insane!”

"And we wouldn't want an insane rockstar, now would we?" Autumn chuckled.
