Autumn grinned over at Jillian. "It's a barbecue place, and they have pretty good food. Do you like barbecue?"

Jilly put her hands on her face, looking up at her owlishly.
“I don’t think so,” Was her muffled response.

"All right, that's okay. What about burgers and fries?" Autumn wondered.

Jilly nodded. “I like fries.”

Autumn grinned. "There's a good burger place around Kohl's that we could go to."

Alex grinned as Jilly nodded slowly.
“That sounds nice,” She said softly.

"Great! Sounds like a plan, then. What do you think, babe?" Autumn asked Alex.

Alex glanced back at her. “That sounds wonderful!”

Autumn grinned, looking nearly as excited as she felt. It had been a while since she had been shopping, so this would be fun for her! And she hoped that Jilly would enjoy it, too.

Alex seemed to be pretty excited too. He hadn’t gone shopping in years, though he did truly enjoy it. He expected to have a ton of fun with his girlfriend and new friend.

"Do you like shopping, Jilly?" Autumn asked the girl gently.

Jilly looked at Autumn from the window. She nodded. “I do. I like seeing all of the clothes.”

Autumn grinned and nodded. "So do I. I also like trying them all on. It's like your own mini fashion show."

Alex laughed softly and looked at his girlfriend happily. “You’re just the cutest thing, you know?”

Autumn blushed and looked out the window. "Shuddup… I am not," she mumbled.

Alex giggled and looked out the window. “So cute!”

Autumn's blush deepened slightly, and she curled closer to the window. How could he still fluster her after the time they'd been together?

Jilly looked to Autumn and to Alex, confused. Alex beamed as he drove, humming merrily to the song on his radio.

"Babe, are you going to hang out with us while we shop, or are you going to no get some things for yourself?" Autumn asked as they stepped into the store.

Alex grabbed her hands once she entered and kissed her nose. “I’ll be staying with y’all.”

Autumn smiled at the kiss and pecked his lips back. "Okay. Let's get stuff for Jilly first," she said, giving the girl a small smile. "To the girls' clothing!"

Alex let go of her hands and smiled down at the little girl.
“Right. What type of clothing do you like?”
Jilly hid behind her sleeves. “I-I like sweaters.”

"Sweaters are amazing. You have good taste. I'm sure they'll have some really cute ones, too," Autumn bubbled excitedly as she started toward the section of the store.
