Sirus crouched by his collection of knives, and was concealing all of them in various places. Boots, thigh, back, sides, sleeves, there were at least half a dozen of them. And if the author really thought about where he put them all, it was possible not all of those places were comfy day in and day out.
(Lol 😆)
Gwen watched him curiously at the unusual and clever places he kept his weapons, though she didn't comment beyond an arched brow. She slung her quiver back over her shoulder and tucked her hunting knife in its handmade sheath before addressing him. ”Ready?
Sirus rose to his feet with a quiet nod, having returned to a much more docile state of being. I would seem that he was much more comfortable fighting.
She raised her brow again at the change in attitude. ”Back to not talking? You were pretty talkative when we were sparring.” she pointed out, almost hoping for a reaction as she lead him back to the village.
Sirus shrugged in response. not wanting to admit that even a practice match was uncomfortable for him in ways and for mreasons he didn't wish to dwell on.
Gwen looked over at him with a small thoughtful frown. “Are you ok? I didn't think I actually hurt you too much during the fight…” she said, her tone somewhere between joking and genuine concern that something was wrong.
(oop- XD)
.
Sirus actually froze for a moment at her concern, blinking in surprise for a second before shaking it off. "No… you didn't hurt me." he said softly, searchign for words to soothe her concern so he wouldn't seem weird. "I just don't talk much when I don't feel the need to." he said, cursing himself for the cryptic answer that would only bring questions later, "What sorts of chorse do you need to get done?" he asked next, changing the subject. And of course throughout his facial features revealed almost nothing, except maybe his eyes, which showed surprise. He also hadn't made eye contact as he spoke, eyes to the ground in a way that made it seem like he didn't realize he was doing it.
(I'm just waiting until you figure out my boi's backstory XD also I love the developing platonic relationship here, I think it's gonna be an awesome case of possibly resolving each other's past demons. (Like you said earlier with her test, but building on it for later on if this runs for that long)
(I hope it does. I think I have a general idea of his backstory… I’m just missing the details and Gwen still needs to figure it out. Glad their relationship is developing so well.)

Gwen’s frown persisted at his answer but she nodded, accepting it… For now. ”Ok. It just seemed like something was bothering you.” she explained before responding to his question. ”Well, I mostly have to help out m- Uh, Rhes with her work because she can't really do all of them as easily as she used to. At least until the baby is born.”

(really? How much have you figured out?)

Sirus nodded, relaxing when she let it go. "Lead the way then." he said softly, ignoring her frown and instead gesturing towards the village of tents.

(Well, I said it was a general idea but… I figure he's kinda the mutt of his pack because his mom was human. The Alpha probably flat out hates him or just ignores him altogether, hence why he never got his own rite of passage trail. Sirius either left on his own or was exiled for some reason… (don’t know why yet) and I'm not sure exactly why he became a bounty hunter.)
(So far you're more or less on the right track! Just missing one crucial detail! Also he became a bounty hunter because it was the first profession he found in which he could actually succeed and not have any real ties or friends. Honestly his options were mercenary, bounty hunter, or assassin. He doesn't like killing, and being a mercenary involves contracts for long periods of time. Bounty hunter means he's constantly moving, and doesn't have to play by anyone's rules except his own, so that's what he ended up with.)
(Nice! … Is the Alpha his dad? Is that the detail I'm missing? I didn't want to jump to conclusions on that but I can see that possibility.)
(😊)
She nodded and headed back towards Rhes and Corbin’s tent. Honestly, her main chore was getting enough fresh water for both the family and herself as well as helping Rhes cook. It was more of Gwen still learning how to cook with Rhes guiding her.
Ehehehehee~ :D))
Sirus trailed along behind her, seeming very much like a quiet, gloomy shadow more than anything else.
Gwen could almost feel his mood but tried not to let it affect her as she walked easily through the small but busy village. A few people offered their congratulations to her for passing the test of a hunter, some even invited her to hunt with their party sometime. Most of the tribe knew about the bounty hunting shifter who followed Gwen and Corbin back but they still gave him an odd glance.
Sirus payed zero attention to any of them, honestly just glad it was only curiosity and confusion, not malice and hatred, that filled their eyes.
Gwen smiled and laughed with her friends at their offers. “Maybe once I get back from my final test.” was her response. She was certain that she would get to go on her trial, though she was nervous about actually passing. Most were long and difficult tasks to prove that a person could defend the tribe.
Sirus kept quiet during all these exchanges, starting to wonder what exactly this last trial would be like for her.
Gwen had been wondering the same thing for quite a while, ever since she decided she wanted to be a warrior for this tribe. Very few tasks were ever the same so listening and learning from others only helped so much. Which is why she dedicated so much of her time to studying and practice for the task.
Sirus was also wondering hwo far he should follow her even i his decision was already made, if he already knew he was going to let her be.
