Eric got up and opened the French doors, striding out onto the balcony. It was a beautiful night, full moon and everything. Very romantic, Eric's brain chimed in. Eric batted the thought away, appalled at himself.

Greyson sighed and looked over his shoulder, making sure he wasn't being followed. He had found a black satin mask from his mother's costume closet and pulled it on, making sure if he was seen, he wouldn't be recognized. He scaled the wall and dropped down into the courtyard. He glanced up and saw that Eric was on the balcony I've found you again my angel.
"So, the rumors, are true." Grey said aloud, coming out from his hiding place and walking around the courtyard
Eric yelped, then looked down. "The fuck? Wait, Grayson?"
"is it really that easy to distinguish who I am even with the mask?" He Sighed and pulled off the mask "well, there goes the 'dont get caught' plan." He glanced up towards where eric was standing and smiled "hi Eric"
I've been thinking about you for the past half hour, yes, it's that easy. Eric smiled back. "Hey. You pulled a Cinderella act on me back there. Came in, all mysterious, charmed me, flirted with me, and then left." He pulled a face. "Left me to deal with that Paris dude."
"ah yes, I apologies for leaving so adruptly. Something came up and I couldn't depart properly." He tilted his head "I thought you liked him?"
Eric barked out a short laugh. "Liked him? I thought I established that I won't be with someone if it's being pushed on me. I like to be…unfettered in my romantic affairs," Eric teased, leaning over the edge of the balcony and looking down at Grayson.
“Huh, good to know for future reference.” Greyson muttered with a grin “and how was the party after I left?" He asked, shoving his hands in his pocket
"I really don't know," Eric mused, messing with his hair. "I left as soon as I could. By the way, what the hell was a Montague doing at our house?" He asked, tone growing sharp, yet keeping an undertone of playfulness to it.
He grinned mischeiviously "you really need to step up security Capulate, they're were two montegues in your house tonight.”
Eric wrinkled his nose and made a low noise in his throat, resembling a dissatisfied cat. "And you, Montague, need to check who you flirt with before you go and get attached enough that you're courting them under their balcony. You're gonna get found, you idiot. You're a sitting duck."
Greyson grinned "maybe that's what I want to happen, just to see your reaction. And for the record, I didn't know you were a Capulate until last minute after I had left." He ran a hand through his hair and sighed "I don't think you could lable this as courting…"
Eric leaned in further. "Grayson. You're in my backyard. Flirting with me. Despite the possibility that you might get caught. That's courting."
He shrugged "fine, I'm courting you, and apparently doing a very good job since you haven't left yet."
Eric made that low noise again, this time to mean perhaps. "Indeed. So why exactly are you here? I doubt it's just for the" he inhaled, "stimulating conversation."
He laughed nervously "my cousin had this weird fantasy that I would come here and confess my undying love for you. I don't think we've gotten that far quite yet so I thought we could just talk. I've got nothing better to do." He glanced up at Eric, nervous that he would walk off.
Eric leaned back and laughed so hard he had to clutch the railing for support. It - his laughter - was the sort of bright thing that, if manifested visually, would hurt your eyes. "I'd do the same thing if I were him." He sighed, then smiled languidly. "Alright then. You wanna come up here so we can, uh, talk properly? Your neck's probably hurting from looking up."
Greyson smiled, happy that he could make Eric laugh and smiled. He blinked and nodded, "uh sure, give me a second to find a way up." He said, glancing around and finding a nearby tree
Eric's eyes followed his gaze. "Oh boy."
Greyson's smile turned determined as he walked over , jumping up and hauling himself up onto a branch. Once he was high enough, he balanced on the branch and glanced up towards where Eric was "think I can jump?"
Eric covered his face with his hands. "Oh god, I can't watch this." He moved away from him, giving him space. "Don't fall. They'll be saying I killed my family's enemy's offspring for political gain." He sighed. What the hell have I gotten myself into?
"Plus for them…" he muttered, getting ready to jump. He counted backwards in his head from three and launched himself fowards, clearing the branch and the railing before lading on his side and rolling to a stop
Eric shrieked. "Motherfucker!" He was at Grayson's side at once, laying a hesitant hand on his shoulder. "Are you, uh, okay? Did you break anything?"
Greyson rolled over and laughed "that was fun! I might just do that again…" He glanced down to where Eric's hand was on his shoulder, then back up at his worried expression "and then I'd do it a million times over again if it meant your contct and closeness." he muttered softly
Eric huffed a nervous laugh and looked away, dropping his hand. "You want a drink or something? I have a Coke."
