Nathalie nodded once, turned and walked away to her room. It was small, but she liked it anyway. Then she remembered about her dress for the party. It was in the study! She hurried there and saw Adrien staring at it.
"Father made this for you?" he asked disbelief.
"Yes," she replied calmly.
"Wow…" Adrien muttered and shook his head. "It looks amazing!"
"You should tell that to your father, not me," Nathalie said, scooping it up in her arms and hurrying away.
As she left, she heard him say, "I will!"
Gabriel got ready for the gala, pulling on a simple white suit, decorated with black fillagree. He stared at the ceiling "thank you, thank you for helping me raise our son so well," He exhaled and went to outside to wait for adrien and Natalie
(Should Nathalie wear her dress to the Gala?)
Adrien was there waiting for his father and Nathalie. “The dress you made for Nathalie was amazing,” he said, keeping to his promise.
(sure if you want her to)
He smiled gratefully at his son "thank you, I've been looking at some of your designs, I might have taken some,"he said with a sheepish smile "the dress idea came from one of your hard, the one with the feathers"
Adrien was shocked. “R-Really?”
Nathalie held her breath as she stepped out behind the two Agrestes. “Mr. Agreste?”
(MEEP)
(beep)
He turned around at the sound of his name. The wind was knocked out of him completely. She looked even more beautiful in the moonlight than before, nothing could do her justice on how beautiful she looked in this moment. After a very akward moment if aw, he straightened and offered him his arm "shall we?" He opened the car door for her and Adrien. "To the gala" he told his driver the address
Nathalie sat politely in the front seat next to The Gorilla, as she always did. She could feel all of their eyes on her, so instead of blushing, she looked out the window at Paris in the nighttime. She was looking forward to the Gala, and maybe even the Bourgeois party. She rubbed her arms a little as the sun was gone now and the air began to chill. She looked at her reflection in the side view mirror and smiled a little. No wonder they were all staring. Her hair was down, and she’d brushed it out this time, so that now it swooped around her shoulders when she turned her head. She’d also touched up her make up, wearing her usual periwinkle eyeshadow but now adding simple black eyeliner and mascara to the look. Her lips were also colored red and a slight bit of blush had been applied to her cheeks. The make up was applied just right to make her face look beautiful instead of crowded. However, despite all of changes, she still wore her glasses, the ones that Mr. Agreste had added to his design.
They got to the party just before it was starting. Gabriel got out of her car and held it open for Adrien. When he got out, he went over to the front and opened it for Natalie. He offered her his jacket, wrapping it around her bare shoulders and offering his arm "you ok?" He said with a smile
Nathalie’s eyes widened slightly. “Yes, sir. I’m fine.” She watched Adrien, making sure that he stayed in her eyesight. She was responsible for him after all.
"Natalie," he stood in front of her, stopping her in her tracks and looked in her eyes "relax. Adrien is fine, he knows how to take care of himself." He started walking again with her in arm "and please, you've known me for years, I don't think formalities are in order, especially here." He winked and smiled politely at the guests around them, keeping Natalie close.
Nathalie worked up a shy smile for some of the guests that she recognized. However, she couldn’t help herself. Her eyes kept wandering and looking for Adrien in the crowd. Some times, she would find him and relax. Other times, she tensed and looked around panickedly, searching for his distinctive blonde hair in the crowd.
He felt her tense and wrapped his arms around her shoulders "He's fine" he whispered "enjoy the party and stop worrying" he laughed gently
Nathalie took a deep breath. So many people were here and some of them were staring at her. It wasn’t exactly easier to relax. She straightened and held her chin high in pride. She was the one wearing Gabriel Agreste’s latest design after all. One that he’d made especially for her.
(BEEP)
He smiled "that's better" he nodded his head as some guests passed by but never broke away from Natalie. He saw Adrienn off with a few friends and was glad his son had such a good company. He stopped and faced Natalie "would you do me the pleasure of dancing?" he offered her his hand
Nathalie blushed softly. "O-Of course, Mr. Agreste," she answered, taking his hand gently.
He glared at her mockingly "what did I say about formalities?" he smiled and brought her hand to his shoulders. "you do no how to dance? don't you?"
“I know how to dance,” Nathalie retorted with a blush.
(This is gonna get real fluffy real fast!!!! Buckle your seatbelts!)
(ready, locked and loaded, bring the fluff on!)
"Really? I didn't see dancing as one of the requirements in the job description." He smiled at her as they waltzed in the middle of the room
“It’s an added bonus,” she commented, blushing slightly, but smiling softly.
He laughed "was that your attempted at a joke?" He smiled "we need to work on that" the music started getting exciting as time went on and Gabriel opened up a little more as a result
Nathalie almost forgot that she was dancing with her boss. She twirled expertly and her dress flared out around her legs, showing off her red heels.
