Dorian moved his hand to cp her cheek gently, kissing her back softly yet passionately at the same time. He’d kissed enough people to know all the tricks.
She was more shy and nervous. Sure, she'd had a random burst of confidence but then she remembered that she'd never actually kissed anyone and was now just kind of figuring it out as she went along.
He kissed her for a few more moments, knowing she was still learning and he didn’t want to overwhelm her. He pulled away a little, placing a light kiss to her nose as he did so.
She couldn't help but smile. She never thought she'd give her first kiss to a boy she literally met the day before but she couldn't help it. He'd already captured her heart.
Dorian smiled, grinning from ear to ear, “Did that satisfy what you wanted?”
"Not enough." She tugged him back in for a fee more seconds before pulling away again. "Now I'm satisfied."
Dorian chuckled, pressing a kiss to her forehead, “I’m glad.”
"I blame you completely for this. You must be a sorcerer since you've clearly cast a spell on my poor heart to have you claim it so easily." She giggled softly.
Dorian shook his head with a laugh, “Sad to say, I’m not a sorcerer, well, not that I know of, anyway.”
"Then you must have some explanation on why your smile makes my heart race." She shrugged, feeling slightly confident.
“I have that effect on most people,” Dorian replied, “I guess I’ve just got a sense of charm about me that people can’t resist.”
"That's for sure." She chuckled. "Then there's boring old me. My siblings took all the charm and left me with awkwardness."
“I think you have charm,” Dorian replied, “We’re all awkward at times, you just have to learn how to tap into the charm.”
"Dorian, I'm the person people avoid at parties because I'm the inferior one. My sisters are beautiful and charming, my brothers have smiles that could make any girl melt, and then there's me just stuck in the middle. I'm not pretty, I'm not charming, I don't know how to talk to people, I suck at politics, and I prefer my fantasy world to the real one. Therefore, I scare off any possible suitors or friends so I'm just the forgettable Catrivo girl despite being the eldest."
“Hey, no,” Dorian brushed a strand of hair out of her face, “It doesn’t matter about every other man out there, I think you’re wonderful, and pretty and well spoken and personally I think you could run this world by yourself. You’re strong and I admire you.”
She smiled a little, blushing slightly. "Come on, let's be real here, one of the only reasons my father didn't fight with me about today is because he's hoping that for once I can charm myself a prince of my own." She sighed, her smile dropping. "I just wish he'd take what I want into account, not just what's good for the family."
“And what do you want? If I may ask?” He spoke, softly.
"Just…someone who won't judge me. Someone who can laugh when I do something stupid yet still have the strength to hold me together when I feel like I'm breaking. Someone who will listen to my rants and not think I'm boring or crazy. Someone who accepts me and loves me for more than my figure. Someone I can love, not just my family."
Dorian node din understanding, “I hope that maybe I could be that person, if you want.”
"I can't tell you how much I want it to be you. I mean, it's kind of hard not to considering you've already captured my heart."
He smiled softly down at her, "You've captured not only my heart, but my soul, too, I believe."
"Then I suppose you have a certain question to ask, don't you?" Isn't that how this works? I might be rushing things, oh no…
"Fiona, will you do me the honor, of becoming my lover? Wait, I said that wrong um…" He face palmed.
She couldn't help but giggle. "Who cares about technicalities, my answer is still yes." She kissed his cheek gently.
Dorian blushed a deep red, "Good. That, right there, is why I'm going to leave the writing to you. I can't even form a proper sentence."
