Ashley continued wandering the suprisingly empty building until he was outside the one with Cas in it. He started to stress. He was about to save the hero, the person he'd looked up to for quite sometime.
Ashley continued wandering the suprisingly empty building until he was outside the one with Cas in it. He started to stress. He was about to save the hero, the person he'd looked up to for quite sometime.
Cas could see a glimpse of a shadow outside the door and fixed his gaze upon it. He couldn't be sure whether this would be one of his captors coming to torture him again or someone he might actually want to see. The room seemed to get stuffier by the second, and the flames coming from his mouth were more frequent.
(How old are they in this btw? Cas is usually fifteen, but I can change that if you want)
(fifteen sounds fine)
Hearing someone coming, Ashley ducked into the room and behind some boxes.
(Alrighty)
Cas moved his head to try and see who had come in, but had to quickly move back to his normal position when one of his captor's servants came in with a whip of some kind. Cas sighed and tensed himself up in preparation, hissing in pain when the whip cracked against his skin.
Ashley growled and darted, unseen by the servant, out of his hiding place. He ran along behind the servant and grabbed the whip as he raised it. Pulling it and the servant backwards. Ashley kneeled as they stumbled back so they tripped. He quickly tore the whip from the servants hands and threw it into the far corner. He crouched over the fallen torturer and knocked him out with a rabbit punch to the face.
"Shit!" Cas flinched at the sudden appearance of Ashley, struggling against his bonds again when the servant had been felled. He still couldn't break the chains. "Um… hey. I think he's got the keys in his belt?" Cas said weakly, looking down at the fallen man.
"Right!" Ashley said as he pulled the keys from the man's belt and started shoving them into the lock one by one.
Cas's ears were drooping by now, and he was still exhaling flames. He was dizzy and disoriented, not to mention sore and shaky, but he was somewhat sure he could kind of walk, at least. When Ashley got the right key, he shook the chains off and stood up unsteadily, seeming much smaller now that their height difference was actually visible.
"We need to get out of here. Are you good with walking?" Ashley asked, scanning the room and giving the servant a sharp kick in the head.
"Uh… yeah. Probably." Cas took a few steps, stumbling a bit, but currently still wanting to walk on his own. The flames were only making it hotter in the room, which wasn't helping his lightheadedness.
"But, you are definitely not fit for jumping through a top story window so that's out." Ashley said, his eyes landed on the whip. He picked it up and experimentally cracked it through the air. "This'll do."
Cas jumped at the sound, goosebumps erupting on his skin. "What do you need the whip for?" He asked, eyeing the weapon warily.
"The same reason I climbed through a window. There are guards." He looked at Cas, blank faced. "I'm kidding. To tie up our friend here."
"Oh, um… alright." Cas approached Ashley and looked down at the unconscious guard. "You know, I could probably get out the window if I needed to. You might have to carry me, though."
Ashley blushed. "Right yeah we could I guess. If you don't mind being carried that is." Ashley busied himself tying the servant to a pipe that ran the length of the wall.
"I weigh very little, so I doubt it would be difficult…" Cas looked around the room, his ears twitching. "My already small size mixed with the cat thing or whatever the hell this is, I don't know if I even weigh ninety pounds."
"I can lift you. Just wait till we get to the window." He walked to the door and glanced around. "This way."
Cas nodded and trotted after him, his footsteps nearly silent. He kept an eye out for any guards, and his ears were constantly swiveling.
"Right, here's the window. You ready?" Ashley said looking out the window and down to the ground, scanning for danger.
"Mhmm." Cas looked up at Ashley, preparing himself to be carried. He was a little nervous, but he was pretty sure Ashley could support his weight.
"Let's do this then." Ashley said, picking up Cas. "Jeez, you're lighter than I thought you'd be."
Cas rolled his eyes and curled his tails around Ashley's arm so they wouldn't be in the way. "Let's just get out of here." He said, his cheeks lightly flushed from embarrassment.
Ashley's tails flicked as he grew more and more uncomfortable. He started towards the window. He dropped expertly to the ground. He put Cas down gently and quickly backed away a few steps.
Cas stumbled a bit, but managed to catch his balance. "Something wrong, whatever your name is?" He asked, examining Ashley.
"Um I'm just a bit of a fan of yours." Ashley said.
