Julie stopped for a moment to gaze at him. "I'm making another dish. Pancakes, Red velvetβ¦." She slipped her apron over her head. "Tie me?" she asked him.
Julie stopped for a moment to gaze at him. "I'm making another dish. Pancakes, Red velvetβ¦." She slipped her apron over her head. "Tie me?" she asked him.
Zackary hummed hungrily and tied on her apron, drooping his head over her shoulder and gentlg grabbing her hips.
βSounds great.β
"I know, it'll taste even better." She turned to press a kiss to his cheek before her attention was back on her food. Her work was smooth and flowing as she chopped veggies for the first dish and whisked batter for the second.
Zackary hummed softly as she cooked, watching her progress earnestly as she dipped batter into a hot pan. The batter was a lucious red color that tickled a fancy in Zackary that he couldnβt pin. He nuzzled gently into her neck, grinning.
"Hm, not really⦠I like it. It's nice having someone who can easily reach stuff on he top shelf," Alison teased him, reaching up to press a gentle kiss to his cheek.
M chuckled softly and turned to look at her when she scooted up. βIβm sure you would be able to reach it fine without myself.β
"If I stood on the counter, maybe. I'm quite a bit shorter than you, love," Alison chuckled.
M laughed softly again. βI doubt it. And I told you not to stand on the counter. You might hurt yourself.β
"I know, M. That's why I don't stand on the counter anymore. I grab a chair and stand on that," Alison informed him with a smile.
M frowned, a shadow on his stressed face. βBut thatβs still dangerous.β
Alison's smile softened. "I know how to be careful, M. You don't have to worry about me so much."
M huffed softly, setting his head down. βI canβt help it. I want to see you safe and happy.β
"I know you so, dear. And I love you for it," Alison said softly, placing a quick, gentle kiss to his lips. "But I do know how to stand on a chair without falling."
Julie smiled as she let the pancakes sit, moving on to the eggs and ham. She gave Zack's cheek a loving pat before sliding in front of the counter, mixing ingredients.
M nodded tiredly. βI know you do, dearest. Butβ¦ itβs still unsafe. You might fall.β
Zackary tailed her to the counter, leaning into her again. βWhatcha making now?β
"You're first dish: eggs, potatoes, and ham." She scraped chopped ham into a frying pan and let it sizzle for a minute or two. She then reached over and checked her pancakes.
"Well, yes, I know⦠But how else am I supposed to reach things?" Alison wondered.
(*Your)
Zackary watched her cook with earnest. βMmmβ¦ it smells delicious. I canβt wait.β
βYour magic?β M suggested softly, raising his eyebrows.
Alison blushed. "Ohβ¦ Rightβ¦ I forgot. I guess I just don't use it so much that I tend to forget that I have itβ¦"
((Thanks))
Julie smiled bright. She loved Zack's praise, it was like a rewarding scratch behind the ear from a master to his dog. It made her feel like she was needed. Even her shoulders straightened a bit with his compliment.
M chuckled lightly and relaxed slowly into the bed. βRight. Forgot. If you keep forgetting, itβll disappear on you.β
Zackary felt her shoulders straighten under his chin and he rolled his eyes. He knew she liked his soft little praises, but sometimes sheβd take them too far to heart. Not that he minded.
"Oh, shush⦠I have to do something all day, so I do most things with my hands rather than magic. It makes the day go by faster," Alison explained with a shrug.
Juliet glanced up at him for a moment, then grabbed a spatula to flip her pancakes. One at a time, she flipped the soft, red cakes. She smiled at her work. The recipe had been in the back of her mind since she saw in the cook book Zack had bought her for her birthday, recently.
M grinned lightly and stirred slightly in the bed. βWhat do you do all day?β
Zackary watched the cake flip and land with a sizzle on the pan. βMmmβ¦ so what else should we do today? Other than laying around?β
Julie shrugged. "I have an order of muffins to make for Her Maje- er, Evelyn. She asked me to make them since she is occupied with His Highness." She said as she covered the pancakes once more and shifted her attention to the sizzling eggs.
