βOh yes. It did.β He smiled a little and set the basket of her clothing down. βTheyβll come in tomorrow.β
βOh yes. It did.β He smiled a little and set the basket of her clothing down. βTheyβll come in tomorrow.β
"Really? That's perfect! I'm glad they can come in so soon," Alison said as she finished with the load she was working on and stuck it in the washer. "There's a load that just finished in the dryer if you want to take that out and start folding everything while I deal with the stains on these."
M nodded and bobbed around her, taking another bin for the clothing, sat down on the floor and startef folding. He hummed softly as he did so, happy to do something with his hands.
"You know, I can't remember the last time you and I did laundry together," Alison mused as she started on a shirt.
M glanced up at her when she spoke, then back down at the pants he was folding. βI canβt either.β
"Have we ever actually done laundry at the same time?" Alison wondered, looking thoughtful as she moved onto the next shirt.
M hummed softly in thought. βIβm not sure, honestly.β
Alison nodded slowly. "I don't think we have⦠Well, there's a first time for everything!"
M grinned and finished with the pants, setting them carefully into the basket. βRight you are!β
Graci shut her eyes and set down her empty glass on the bill she left. βLike I said. You are welcome to follow me if you so please.β She stood slowly.
M grinned and finished with the pants, setting them carefully into the basket. βRight you are!β
βArenβt I always?β Alison joked with a playful wink.
Jericho stood with her, grasping her hand to give her knuckles another kiss. "Lady Graci, allow me to walk you to your door." He wasn't quite ready to leave her presence just yet, but was firm to himself that he would go no further than her threshold. At leastβ¦he was trying to be.
M chuckled softly, grinning. βAlways.β
Graci turned to look at him, her eyes glimmering with laughter as if she knew precisely what he was thinking.
βI will allow you that and much more.β
Alison smiled over at him softly before going back to her laundry. She hummed a bit as she started on a pair of pants with a strange green stain, possibly from grass.
How did I get a grass stain on these?
M continued his careful folding, sitting back comfortably on the cold ground of the basement. He set a pair of neat black pants, that were most likely hers, onto her pile in the hamper. He laughed softly at her thoughts.
Alison shot a quick look at him when he laughed, looking confused for a moment before she realized whatβd happened.
βOh, hushβ¦ I donβt think Iβve even worn these pants for, like, a week, so I am rightfully confused,β she chuckled.
M chuckled more into a shirt he was folding, a light grin on his lips. βRight. A week. What an excuse, dear.β
Alison huffed at him playfully, rolling her eyes. βShush, youβ¦β
M laughed softly again to himself, shaking his head in pretend shame. βShame shame.β
Alison huffed again and stuck her tongue out at him childishly. βWhateverβ¦ Iβm just going to ignore you and finish now.β
M continued his soft chuckling, his eyes sparkling in the light of the basement. He set another shirt down and started on a pair of jeans.
Rude, Alison thought jokingly, shaking her head with a silent laugh.
M stuck his tongue out at her turned back, rolling his eyes. βSays you.β
Graci turned to look at him, her eyes glimmering with laughter as if she knew precisely what he was thinking.
βI will allow you that and much more.β
Jericho's cheeks tinted the tiniest bit. By the gods this will be much more difficult than I thought. "I'm flattered." He said, winking at her as she led them out of the bar.
Graci laughed softly, charmingly, as she turned them down the path. She was living in a penthouse up in a very fine hotel, courtesy of her God companions. The mortal woud find it hard to walk away from someone like her.
