The pair, M and Alison, got sat down at a homey little diner near the corner of town. It was a bit farther than a block (three and a half to be exact) but M seemed to have a good time walking with her. He didn’t seem too bothered by it, either, since he was so used to walking long distances in barefoot. It was just a thing for him.

M curled his legs up into a criss-cross applesauce position so she had room.
β€œI suppose you did, hmm?” He smiled good-naturedly.

M chuckled happily and looked around. Spring flowers and cute little hearts for Valentine’s day floated around.
β€œMm. It’s nice in here, is it?”

M shifted in the worn seat of the booth. β€œIt doesn’t seem very busy. I don’t think we should’ve worried of a rush.”

M’s eyes were still flitting around the diner. β€œMmm. It still has a few people. Perhaps we are late?”

M frowned a bit. β€œHm. It looks pretty good to me. Other than that crack in the wall. I bet they’ll have it fixed soon, though.”

Julie sat before her vanity, brushing her hair, humming to herself. Smiling, she looked back at Zack. He was still lounging in bed, as she expected. It was his day off.

"Yeah, I know, it looks very nice, but not many people these days have the patience to just sit down and wait for their food. Everything has to come quickly and be eaten quickly and be gone quickly," Alison sighed, resting her chin in her hand.

Zackary furled up into the sheets, his legs poking out as he dozed lightly. It was a beautiful day outside, he could see the sunlight through his lids.
β€œSo when are you going to work, babe?” He asked softly, looking over.

M sighed and turned to her, cupping his face in his hands. β€œIt is disappointing. Inpatience is such an epidemic nowadays.”
