Blue…missed. The fry almost landed in her mouth, but hit her lip and bounced off. Snorting, she snatched it off the seat, popping it in her mouth anyway. "Alright, hit me."
Blue…missed. The fry almost landed in her mouth, but hit her lip and bounced off. Snorting, she snatched it off the seat, popping it in her mouth anyway. "Alright, hit me."
"Why'd you decide to change almost everything about yourself?" Ava asked softly. "And don't give me bullshit."
Blue blinked, feeling a bit stupid for not expecting the hard hitting answers so soon. "It's, uh, kinda a whole ass story…."
"We have time."
She sighed, nodding, and grew quiet as she tried to figure out how best to explain. With a wrinkle of her nose, she lifted up the hem of her shirt, revealing the long, nasty looking scar on her abdomen. "Started with this, I guess."
Ava's eyes softened. "Baby…"
"Almost dying kinda makes you think, ya know?" Blue continued, shrugging a shoulder as she looked down at the scar. "And my thinking mostly just involved realizin' that I'd been doin' nothin' more than surviving. Not living. So I…decided to start. And that began with changin', apparently."
Ava nodded thoughtfully.
"I mean, there're, like, details 'n shit, but yeah. I needed to do something, so…I changed." Blue shrugged again, letting her shirt drop. "Guess I got that asshole to thank."
Ava's eyes darkened. Something appeared to running through her, but she shook it off.
"Next fry, my turn." Blue said suddenly, hoping Ava would let her change the subject for now.
Ava nodded absently and passed the fries over.
Blue picked out a fry, raising an eyebrow as she tossed it to Ava.
She tried, but it hit her lower lip and dropped. "Dammit," she muttered.
She snorted, shaking her head. "Ha! Alright….favorite person you know."
"Too easy!" She grinned. "You."
She blinked, cheeks reddening. "I-really?"
Ava winked. "Give me the fries."
"Fries. Right." Blue shook her head, handing them over.
Ava aimed and tossed it towards Blue.
Blue, once again, didn't manage to catch it. Though this time, it completely mussed her mouth. "Dammit."
"C'mon, I'm giving then to you," Ava sighed. "Okay. Is your name really Blue? Or it that just a nickname?"
Blue wrinkled her nose, shaking her head. "No, it's one hundred percent my actual name. You look at the coven though, and it makes sense."
"Oh, I know my next question," Ava said decidedly, passing the fries.
"That's terrifying." Blue said with a nod, flicking the fry to Ava.
