“I’ll deal with it if it happens, but I’m more than willing to take that risk.” I put on my most confident smile.
“I’ll deal with it if it happens, but I’m more than willing to take that risk.” I put on my most confident smile.
“I….” Swallowing, I licked my dry lips. “I don’t want to hurt you more than I already have…”
“Juliet, this is completely my choice.” I assured her, shivering. “Please make a decision soon though…”
“I….. Fine. Stay up here with me.” The words were out of my mouth before I could take them back. “But if you get too cold, get back inside.”
“You won’t regret this!” I got up, frigid from the cold as I inched my way back over to the skylight, trying to calculate where to land.
“Careful…” I called softly after him, pushing myself into a sitting position. Once again, I found myself conflicted, internally yelling about how stupid this was while what I really wanted to do was stay…
I jumped down, managing to land on my bed with no added injuries. I immediately moved to the heater, warming up for a couple minutes. Afterwards I shoved two pillows along with all the blankets on my bed up onto the roof, lifting myself back up into the cold as well.
“Hey,” I greeted quietly as he came back up. Reaching out a hand to help, I grabbed hold of his uninsured arm and pulled him farther away from the skylight.
Her hand was so much smaller than mine. It was adorable. But the rush I was getting from this whole experience had my head reeling, a lot like how I felt after she bashed my face into that brick wall. “T-Thanks…”
I let go of him, tugging my blanket tighter around me. “Need any help with that?”
I picked up one of the pillows, handing it to her. “Pick a spot. I want to stay nearby so I can steal some heat.” I cracked a smile, wrapping blankets around myself.
I plopped the pillow down a few feet away from the skylight so that he could be nearest to the warmth of his bedroom, lowering myself down until I was laying on my side.
I settled down half a foot away from Juliet. Wrapping myself in smaller blankets, I took the comforter from my bed spread it over both of us. “Night, Juliet.” I murmured softly, letting my eyes shut.
(Tooted?)
“Wait…” I sat up, pulling my phone from my pocket. “We should set an alarm. What time are your parents usually up at?”
(Tooted?)
Oml I was exhausted last night, sorry Topaz!😂))
It’s totally fine lol, I was just confused
How’d you sleep?)
“Round five usually.” I held back a yawn, determined to stay awake for Juliet.
“Then I’ll set an alarm for four-thirty, and leave then. And you can go inside at that time.” I set the alarm and lay back down on my side, closer to him this time.
(Not well if I’m being honest. Just trying to hold out for February break at the end of the week! Hopefully today will go by fast. How’re you today?)
“Where are you gonna go? You can keep my blanket, it’ll be cold.” I couldn’t help but worry for her even though I knew she was more than capable of handling herself.
(I’m sorry, feel better ):
I’m okay)
“You keep the blanket.” I shrugged. “And I’ll go to the school.”
(Thanks! I’ll be okay, I’m just Romeo-Level Dramatic XD)
“At four thirty in the morning? Are you sure you don’t want to keep the blanket while you walk to school?” I resisted the urge to sneeze, scrunching up my nose.
(Lol)
“Yeah, I’ll be fine. Where would I put the blanket, anyways?” I suppressed a shiver, curling up into a tight ball. I had the strangest urge to be held…
“You could just put it in your locker for the day. Sneak it out another time.” I suggested, tugging the blankets over my face. “Still cold.” He grumbled.
“Keep the blanket,” I insisted, quiet but firm, “And yeah… it is pretty cold.”
“I’m going to get punched for suggesting this so just try to avoid my broken arm when you hit me.” I mumbled, smiling sheepishly as I looked over at Juliet. “Cuddle with me?”
