Danielle: Notices De Tearion's overwhelmed feelings and grins Yes, I know it is much different from your own home. However, as a Clanmate and Family, you shall get used to seeing this place often. As a Mist Fae, you now have a bit more magical power, and you can come back here any time you want.

Sam: Morphs back into her hybrid human-spider form. She has explained what I have not.

Deleted user

Danielle: Notices the narrowed eyes and chuckles You have a greater range of natural spells. Not only that, your mana reserves are greatly increased, and your magical resistance is now at the point where, unless caught off gaurd, you can shrug off most any spell, as Sam has probably demonstrated. On top of all of that, you have access to another form: Mist Form. Danielle shifts into hers. Sam's is a will-'o-the-wisp. Mine is a geist. You can choose yours.

Sam: Nods at all of this, silent.

Deleted user

Danielle: Laughs Indeed, it is very stunning at first.

Sam: Laughs along with Danielle.

De Tearion: Chuckles, unsure what to do. That feeling nagged at him. He had always been sure of himself. And now, he was completely stuck. He took a deep breath, deciding it was best to figure things out one at a time, even as questions and curious thoughts and ideas bombarded him.

Danielle: Puts a hand on De Tearion's shoulder, her gaze soft and understanding I understand this confusion, De Tearion. One last bombshell: you are truly immortal. You can be felled in battle, but you are otherwise undying.

Sam: Speaks up for the first time in a while It is true. Me and Danielle have been around longer than you think, De Tearion.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Blinked at the pair, then breathed deeply and leaned against a nearby wall. He slid down the wall, his mind whirling. A thought came to him and he poked a finger with his claw, wincing. Blood welled, and instead of black, it was white. White blood. White. He stared blankly, his voice barely audible, his tone reverent, even fearful.

Deleted user

Danielle: Pulls out a knife, slices her palm open. Emerald blood starts flowing. Yes, your blood changes. Mine was originally grey, until I was accepted by Argentum.

Sam: Does the same. Hers is onyx blood. Indeed.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Looks at them, shaking his head. Goliathans, with the rare exception, always have black blood, always. In our duel, mine was black. After coming here, entering this city, it be white. That be the rare exception, extremely rare. Most with white blood cannot survive, simply because their blood lacks something vital to life. Yet, the few that can survive are… incomprehensible.

Danielle: chukles As you will be.

Sam: nohds After a long enough time in our world, you will fing your Goliathan kin to be… stranger to you.

Deleted user

Danielle: Nods They have been granted the same gift as you, De Tearion. Worry not, they shall be here within the day.

Sam: Sighs, and snaps her fingers. Immediately, the cuts on hers and Danielle's hands heal.

Deleted user

Danielle: Grins Ah, even among two opposing races there are those that inexplicably fall in love. She snaps, and summons Nwalan and De Tearion's wife and son.

Sam: Chuckles Indeed.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Rose an eyebrow, flustered. Love? He wasn’t ‘in love’ with Nwalan. The Vanisher was like a son to him, even a brother.

A young human woman appeared, holding what seemed to be a six year old half-breed boy in her arms. Next to her a human nobleman with golden eyes and blue fingertips appeared, his eyes widening with alarm. He quickly stepped in front of the woman and child, holding his hands out protectively.

De Tearion: Stands and holds his hand up to both catch the nobleman’s attention and calm him. Nwalan, these two are allies. They are Mist Fae, though I truly have little knowledge of the species.

The nobleman (Nwalan): Looks at De Tearion inquisitively, then at Sam and Danielle cautiously. He spoke in accented Common, much like De Tearion did. Mist Fae? How have you found Mist Fae? Be that why you disappeared?

De Tearion: Nods. He then steps around Nwalan, looking at the woman and child with concern. Mileena?

The woman (Mileena): Looking around warily, cradling the also wary boy. Relief flooded her eyes at the sight of De Tearion. Tearion, where are we? Why does everything seem so weird now?

De Tearion: Chuckles. I am still learning that myself, yet we are safe. Kierthēl? He glances at the boy, smiling lightly when the boy turned to look at him.

Mileena: He noticed something was strange before me.

Kierthēl: Vanisher hid. He pointed at Nwalan.

Nwalan: Clears his throat, looking around innocently.

De Tearion: Chuckles, clearly relieved. He brushes Kierthēl’s hair then kissed Mileena on the forehead.

Mileena: What will happen? With all four of us gone, the castle’s going to be in an uproar.

De Tearion: That be a concern for later. For now, we follow these two. Sam and Danielle. He indicated them as he spoke. He then stepped back a bit to address the pair. This be Nwalan, Mileena, and Kierthēl. The only family I have. He indicated who was who again.

Danielle: Nods, but is slightly uncomfortable around Nwalan. Hello, Nwalan. I am Danielle. I have heard of the Vanishers peculiar obsessions. What be yours?

Sam: Turns her attention to the rest of the family. She shifts to a less creepy form, and walks over, smiling softly. Hello, mine Clanmates. De Tearion here has been accepted in to Clan Argentum, as have all of you. I shall let him explain what this means for your futures. I hope we have not caused too much harm by doing this.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Nwalan: Bows at Danielle, then grins wide, becoming a bit hyper. Tapestries. And other works of art like paintings, pottery, stained glass… but mainly tapestries. I still have yet to learn how to properly make them, but I have patience. Clears throat. Pardon my… excitability. It happens a lot. Giggles.

De Tearion: Chuckles. Primarily when he be happy.

Mileena: Looks at Sam shyly, glancing at De Tearion. More startled than harmed.

Kierthēl: Busies himself with Mileena’s hair, studying it and wrapping it around his fingers.

Deleted user

(How old is Kierthēl?)

Danielle: Laughs You may want to talk with Sam if you need to learn how to weave a tapestry. And I understand becoming excited by that which you love. I myself am obsessed with sculptures.

Sam: Grins Good, I am glad to hear this.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(He looks like a six year old, but he’s actually only two. He’s offset because of the way Goliathans mature. But, he’s a fast learner)

Nwalan: Glances at Sam with a grin, then looks back at Danielle with a fascinated gaze. Interesting. Clay sculpting? Stone? Or something more exotic?

Mileena: Smiles shyly.

De Tearion: Moves to put a comforting hand on Mileena’s shoulder, then ruffles Kierthēl’s hair.

Kierthēl: Gives a complaining cry, then quickly straightens his hair. He looks at De Tearion and makes an unappreciative huffing noise.

De Tearion: Laughs.

Deleted user

(Wow, really?)
(Hold on… what would happen if I threw Aiden and Wren in here? Those two are my go-tos, as well as Val…)

Danielle: Smiles Stone, metal, ether… anything I can get my hands on.

Sam: Looks over, catching Nwalan's apreciative glance, and smiles at him, then turns back to Mileena and Kierthēl and laughs.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Nwalan: Ooh. How exciting. Grins wide.

Mileena: Laughs as well, petting Kierthēl’s hair to help him straighten it.

De Tearion: Watches, snickering. He then turns to Sam. Now, you know my family. What of yours… or ours, I suppose? He waves to indicate the city.

Deleted user

(Hmmm… interesting.)
(Lmao, I'm sure Nwalan would love Wren. I'm not sure how anyone would feel about my inked-and-scarred bard-rogue-warrior god fighter, lmao!)
(And I have met my first friendly Vanisher, lmao! I didn't realize that until now.)

Sam: Sighs Mine original family is… dead. The Mist Fae are all that I have left, and only those of the actually quite small Clan Argentum… we have recently been being attacked. At least, our visible cities. Which are few and far between. Clan Argentum is dying out, slowly. We have tried everything, but it does no good. Argentum's line is fading from memory. Argentum himself is the last of his bloodline. I am the last of mine, and Danielle is the last of hers.

Danielle: Grins back Yes, it truly is.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Nods in understanding, then snorts in amusement. How fitting. I am the last pure-blood of the De Tearion bloodline, same as Mileena is the last pure-blood of her line. Yet, both are by choice.

Nwalan: Giggles. Are there any tapestries around here? Abruptly looks at De Tearion.

De Tearion: Chuckles. I will hinder you not, Nwalan.

Nwalan: Grins.

Deleted user

(That's very interesting, actually! I don't have very many cross-breeds, mostly because I have 0 clue whatsoever how I would go about doing that, lmao!)
(Fair enough. By the way, the strung together words at the end are describing Aiden, not Val, lmao! Just letting you know.)
(Makes sense. The bad ones are always the loudest. And really? That's interesting, in and of itself!)

Sam: Confused Why would anyone do that by choice? It makes no sense.

Danielle: Nods to Nwalan. Yes, we do have tapestries here. Follow me. She starts heading off to a tall, spiraling building.

Wren has managed to find his way into the Mist Realms.

Wren: Looks around. Where am I?

Sam: Startled, she launches a web at Wren. Oh my gods, I'm so sorry! You startled me.

Wren: Grins, his silver form making him indistinguishable from the surrounding buildings. He easily slips free of the web. You are fine, my lady. My name is Wren in the common tongue. What be yours?

Sam: Sighs My name is Sam. She walks over to Wren. So what are you?

Wren: Grins A paradox.

Sam: Sighs again, this time in amusement. That clears up nothing.
