De Tearion: Chuckles, then holds onto a few branches with his legs and a lower arm, sliding so that he hung upside down. He points at Danielle. I will consider myself outwitted… for now. He snickers, then notices a strand of saliva in his hair and uses his upper pair of hands to wipe it off.
Danielle: Shrinking back down to humanoid, she snickers. Fair enough.
Sam: Slowly stopping her laughter That was hilarious to watch! And a much shorter battle than mine.
Danielle: Chuckles You like taking your time.
De Tearion: Watches Danielle shrink, intrigued. He then laughs at the comments. Aye, considerably shorter, yet also messier. He snorted when he found another strand of saliva in his hair, then spoke in a joking tone. Hair, my bane. He laughs, cleaning the strand and searching his hair for more.
Danielle: Laughing Definitely for you, but I'm still flawless!
Sam: Snorts Of course you are.
De Tearion: Snorts in amusement, shaking his head. He then got an idea and pointed a finger at the ground near Danielle, a bolt of energy flying. The bolt blasted into the dirt, showering Danielle with soil and leaves. He laughs. Now we are equals.
Danielle: Pretends to outraged. How dare you? She then laughs and magically cleans herself and De'Tearion, scouring all the saliva, leaves and dirt off of them
Sam: Snorts Of course.
De Tearion: Laughs, then chirps curiously when he’s magically cleaned. He then nimbly jumps down and proceeds to bury his feet in the dirt. I knew not that such magic existed, nor have I ever met a snake shapeshifter. ‘Tis fascinating.
Danielle: Laughs when De'Tearion buries his feet in the dirt There is much you do not know of me and my fellow Mist Fae. I am merely a sub-species, one of millions.
Sam: Nods It is true.
De Tearion: Indeed. I only know of Fae because of you two. Otherwise, I have never heard of Fae and their relatives. Shrugs casually. Yet, I have lived on an island my entire life. ‘Tis unsurprising that my knowledge would be lacking in regard to things and creatures beyond my homeland.
Danielle: Nods We shall introduce you to our Clan. She grabs De'Tearion, and the world dissolves into mist. It reforms into a faded version of their previous world. Here we are!
Sam: Follows, then inhales deeply. Ah, yes…
De Tearion: A bit surprised by Danielle’s actions, looking around cautiously. I will never become accustomed to the thought that other worlds exist beyond my own. Shakes his head and sighs.
Danielle: Chuckles Indeed, it took me a fair ammount of time to get used to it as well. But, you do eventually get used to it.
Sam: Nods Indeed, you do.
De Tearion: Snorts, unconvinced. I know not what the mainland of my home looks like. How can I become accustomed to something much different than that?
Danielle: Chuckles again Yet, look about you. Does this look much different than where we were before? I assure you, we can find your homeland in the Mist Realms.
Sam: Grinning Indeed, we can. She shifts into a colorful orb. Follow me, for now.
De Tearion: A nervous gleam enters his eyes. I am uncertain if I wish to even dare such a thing. When Sam says to follow her, he is relieved and gladly does so. Though her hint of ‘for now’ concerns him a bit.
Danielle: Laughing Do not worry yourself overly. I assure you, our world is truly peaceful. And being Fae, I cannot lie.
Sam: Bobs up and down, leading them on a winding path somewhere. Her color, acid green, is visible against the surroundings like a flashlight at midnight.
De Tearion: Chuckles. ‘Tis not this world I am concerned of. Yet, that be another subject entirely. Despite the shock of all of this, I am truly fascinated.
(Note: When Danielle speaks, her "s" sounds aren't pronounced sounds. They're just normal s's. Although, she does have an Australian accent, lmao!)
Danielle: Then what concerns you? If it be your kin, there are none here.
(Thumbs-up. Lol)
De Tearion: Snorts. That be a relief. Yet, ‘tis not even them. ‘Tis memories, the nostalgia. I know not how I would react to being in the forests again, particularly without the distraction of the creatures within.
(Me and my fucked brain are going to probably be up a bit longer, but in a little bit I will log off because ~school~.)
Danielle: Nods Ah, that would make sense.
Sam: Stops in front of a seemingly barren plot of land We're here.
De Tearion: Notices the plot of land and his eyebrow rose in confusion. Illusion? On a haven?
Sam: Sighs In case any Seelie or Unseelie find their way here. There is many reasons why we have had peace. This illusion being one of them. She floats through the illusion, not even a ripple to show her passing.
Danielle: Grins and drags De'Tearion through to their capital. Welcome to the Mercurial City.
De Tearion: Chirps in acknowledgment, even though that hadn’t been what he meant. He had never seen an illusion on a building… or a city… before. He looked around at Mercurial City, fascinated and a bit overwhelmed. The architecture alone was so different from what he knew.
