Kieran paused carefully at the question. "Well… yes and no. Of course we have the occasional fling… and of course we are very comfortable around each other…" He hummed. "Ash and I became demons around the same time. We've been close ever since. But… Lovers, or official? I don't think so." He shrugged a little bit.
He nodded a little. "Oh, alright. I was just curious." he replied, glancing over at where Smoke was still cleaning himself, busy getting every last bit of dirt or formula off of his grey fur.
He nods and smiles faintly. "You're allowed to ask questions… just don't ask them to Ash. He tends to answer question in odd, cryptic ways." He chuckles and glances over at Smoke as well. "Or just avoids them completely." He shrugged.
He nodded again. "Alright." he replied, stretching a little bit. "Am I allowed to look around the house, or is that not allowed?"
"The house is yours to roam. All I ask is that you don't enter the basement." He replies simply. "If you say where you want to go, or have a specific room in mind, just say the room aloud and usually a door pops up if you don't feel like walking through what seems to be endless halls. Plus it just keeps you from getting lost. I'll see if I can draw up a map for you."
He smiled a little, curious as to what was in the basement, but reluctant to ask the demon. "Of course." he said. "A map would be great, but you don't have to." he picked up Smoke, the kitten letting out a soft mew when he was lifted from the floor.
"I already have one in the works since I was getting so desperately bored with nothing to do." He chuckles quietly. "That was of course before you summoned us." He hummed and leans forward, gently petting Smoke. "Sweet satan, you really are the most adorable little thing." He murmured softly.
He nodded a little. "Alright then." He smiled a little at the praise to Smoke. Smoke purred at the petting, closing his eyes and pressure happily against Kieran's hand.
Kieran giggles softly, sitting on the floor so he could give Smoke lots and lots of attention. As for Ash, he had exited the kitchen. He assessed the situation before shrugging and settling into a chair beside Nik. "Alright. It seems that Kieran is happily entertained. So. Is there any questions that you have?" He asks curiously. "Are you settling in well?"
Nik looked over at Kieran for a moment, then at Ash, and shrugged a shoulder. "I don't know. I'm…settling in alright, I guess. It's just…different."
Ash nods slowly. "It's different at first. But you quickly get used to it. The house answers to your needs and wants." He chuckles quietly before leaning back in his chair. Kieran smiled and stood and leaned against Ash's shoulder. "You wish is our command." Kieran explains. "We serve you however you wish."
"Okay, but…what am I supposed to do?" he asked slowly, unsure what his exact role in all of this was.
"Order us around. We're basically servants at your command." Kieran winks playfully before humming and glancing at Ash. Ash glanced at Kieran before turning his attention to Nik. "Basically what Kieran said. You have a very strong tie to us, so it is totally up to you what we do and how we do it." He shrugs.
"Right, I get that. But I mean…other than that? What's the purpose of me…being here?" he was used to having something to do. A job, school, something.
He hummed and glanced over at the other, "Why your side of the bargain. Time." Ash smiled at the other. "We offered you a new life. And now you offer us time." He hummed and Kieran nods in agreement. "Time indeed~"
His eyes flicked between the two, a little confused. "So my payment is…just time spent here? But…how long?"
Kieran paused and glanced over at Ash before speaking. "Eternity." He replies quietly. "Or until you die." He shrugged a little bit. "Of course you're more than welcome to visit Earth and whatnot. But you offered time. You did not say how much. To demons… time is centuries. Eternity." He hummed and leaned against the chair Ash was sitting in.
"…oh." he replied slowly, taking that in. He had sort of thought maybe time would mean five years or something like that. He hadn't bargained on staying…forever. He blinked at the two demons uncertainly, taking in that news. "I see."
Ash shrugs. "Like Kieran said, to put it simply you're on a very loose leash. You're allowed to visit Earth as much as you'd like. However, your home is here." He shrugged a little. Kieran nods and smiles gently in assurance. "We're not that bad. Ash may be a bit of a prick, but he's not horrible." Ash raised a brow at that but said nothing.
"Alright. Uhm…can I go back to my apartment and get some things? Before my rent runs out and the landlord throws it all away?" he still had a bit of time before the rent ran out. He thought. Unless time ran differently here than on earth? Which would really suck, he wanted his violin and didn't want the landlord selling it or, worse, throwing it away in the trash.
They both nod and Kieran offers his hand to Nik. "Well. We shall go then. Any place in mind?" He asks cheerfully. Ash shook his head. "I'll take Nik, Kie. You have a tendency for scaring mortals." He tsked at Kieran's general direction before offering his hand to Nik. "You can take one of us, or both of us." Ash explains quietly. "No pressure." Kieran eases.
Nik sighed faintly. "I really don't have a preference who goes, I just need to pick things up from my apartment. It'll take me ten, maybe twenty minutes." he looked between the two demons, unsure what to do.
Ash nods, "Yes, well. You can't go waltzing out the front door, you'd fall into a never ending void." He explains simply, his long slender hand taking Nik's. As for Kieran he shrugged and chuckles. "All three of us then! Shall we?" He glances at Ash who rolled his eyes before closing them. Kieran did the same. The ground disappeared beneath their feet, swallowing them into pitch black.
Nik stiffened faintly when the ground disappeared, his eyes squeezing shut and hands tightening a little on the demons' hands.
Ash and Kieran gently squeezed his hands in return, and after a moment, a faint light appeared before they appeared smack dab in the middle of Nik's apartment. "Well here we are." Ash releases Nik's hand gently. As for Kieran, he was still contentedly holding onto Nik's hand. "That was fun~" He cooed happily, "Take the lead, master~" He winks playfully at Nik.
