kane chucked " my mistake. what did I do to get a woman like you"

Anna smiled. "You hired me and treated me with more respect than any other man in my life ever has."

he looked down to the ground " treat others how you want to be treated. " he said softly

Anna couldn't help but laugh. It had a strangely sharp tone to it, one that wasn't normal for her. "I wish that were true."

kane had noticed the difference " was that your real laugh, not the forced one?"

She looked over at him with wide eyes. "I-I don't have a forced laugh."

" yes you do, when you in meetings, your laugh is high and bubbly, that was different.."

Anna looked away and brushed her hair behind her ear. "Sorry, it's an odd laugh… I despise it."

" don't, i love it," he said and nuzzled her ear

Anna gasped quietly. "I hate it."

" so, ill teach you to love it.."

"How?" Anna asked, genuinely intrigued.

" you laugh is wonderful, ill get you to laugh every day from now on"

Anna shook her head. "Not like that you won't."

" mm yes i will." he said, reaching over and tickling her

Anna gasped and swatted his hand away. "Don't you dare!"

" or what?" he challanged

Anna looked at him seriously and pointed a finger at him. "Don't!"

" or what?"

She shook her head and picked up her walking pace, not answering him.

kane growled, scooping her up and continuing to tickle her

Anna gasped and nearly walked into a woman heading in the opposite direction. "Sorry!" she apologized, and the woman glared at her before heading off. Anna turned to Kane and frowned. "Look what you've done."

' what ive done?!" he laughed

"Yes, what you've done!" Anna countered, unable to help herself as she smiled.
