Anna averted his gaze. "I didn't want to worry you."

She looked up at him, a bit taken aback by his comment. "How long have you liked me?" she asked quietly.

" a couple of months after I hired you.."

Anna flushed brilliantly. "That was years ago…"

"yeahhh tell me about it."

"You've liked me… for years?"

Kane put his head down as his cheeks flushed

"And you never said a thing?"

" I.. I was too scared to.."

Anna laughed quietly. "I'm that terrifying? What changed?"

" I was scared of rejection"

"Is this because of my previous relationships?"
