"Mm, I'm sure you'll be able to get to sleep if you try hard enough. In the meantime, if you can't right now, I think that would make a good time to get to know each other. Maybe you'll sleep better?" Torz tilts his head, ending off in a question.
Em looked up at Torz, tilting her head a bit as well. "You don't seem to know too much about humans." She said, propping her head up on her arms.
"Didn't you say something about…'first time being this close to a human'?" She asked.
"I mean..I have been close to a human," he began to take on a more unsure tone. "But she didn't really like me that much for whatever reason." He looked down for a moment, then looked back at her. "But you, you're different!"
"I don't really know that much about humans, that is part of the reason why I came to Earth," Torz explained. "To learn more. Because I was curious."
"Wait, came?" Em asked, not sure if he was referring to him being summoned or when he was here before. Though it sounded like he wasn't talking about this time, to her.
"Well, the first time, it was by choice. A demon can go to Earth if they want, only once though. The rest of the times you either get summoned or you just stay on Earth." He explained. "It's a bit confusing, but I guess it's been that way for a while now."
Em nodded, though she was confused. She was getting tired and it was getting obvious. Her eyes were partially closed, and her head was nodding off a bit.
Torz pauses, then speaks. "You can go to bed, if you want," he notes her current condition.
Em snapped awake at the sound of his voice. She stared at him a bit before nodding. "Yeah. I should." She said rubbing her eyes.
"Do me a favor." She said, standing up. "You can look around all you want but please don't touch the cat or the snake."
"Okay. I won't." He blinked, glancing around. There wasn't too much to do at night for Torz at least, so he'd presumably also go to sleep once he got bored enough. Torz stood up, stretching.
Em nodded slowly before wandering out of the kitchen and to her bedroom. She opened the door to find Rebel curled up on her pillow, purring to his hearts content. She maneuvered her way around him before settling down and passing out as soon as he head hit the bed.
Torz strolled around the house for a fair amount of time. The layout was pretty familiar, not much had changed since his last visit aside from certain things gone and new things replaced. He supposed that came with new home owners. Finally, Torz settled himself on a couch for the time being. Splayed across the couch, it did not take much time for the demon to fall asleep.
Em woke up with the sun in her eyes and a tail in her face. She rolled over, only to realize, her blankets had fallen off the bed.
"Guess that's my wake up call." She thought to herself as she sat up. She went to rub her eyes, only to realize she had fallen asleep with her glasses on.
She got up and got dressed, the memories of last night coming to her. "Did I seriously tell a demon that he could stay in my house? How do I know he isn't tricking me?" She thought she put her bandanna on.
A small meow sounded from the bed, catching Em's attention. Rebel was sitting at the end of the bed, obviously looking for attention. Em stretched out her hand to caress her cats head. "I have no idea what I did last night, but I hope I don't regret this." She told Rebel.
Em picked up Rebel, and carried him out of her room and into the kitchen.
Torz didn’t wake up right away. He was never much of a morning person…well, as of recently, anyways. Opening his eyes, he had to take a moment to adjust to the light, and speaking of eyes: they no longer glowed they had previously, as they should. Instead, due to the morning hours of the day they went back to looking more human like, coloured just a nice brown.
His leg moved off to the side and he rubbed a hand across his face, sitting up at last. Even then, it was a minute or so before he sat up, took time to look at his surroundings and recall last night, which wasn’t hard. It was a pretty weird experience overall. He stood up and stretched, making his way to the kitchen.
Em let Rebel out of her arms and onto the counter. She made her way around the kitchen, grabbing all the ingredients for waffles. She poured pancake powder and water into a bowl and began mixing, stopping momentarily to get the waffle maker. She poured some of the batter into the waffle maker before closing it.
Only then did Em realize Torz was in the kitchen. "Oh! Uh…morning!" She said, greeting him with a bright smile. "Did you sleep well? Or at all?" She asked.
Torz leaned against a wall, blinking a few times to adjust to the light. “Yeah, slept really good.” It just took a while for him to fully wake up was all. He sniffs the air and looks over to the waffle maker.
“What’s that?” He points at it.
"I'm making waffles for breakfast. That's a waffle maker." Em explained, setting down the bowl of batter. "Are you hungry?"
Rebel hopped off the counter and made his way to Em, weaving his way in between her legs.
Torz sniffed the air some more. “Smells..good.” He mumbled, then looked back to Em. “Yeah, I’m hungry,” he told her.
Torz glances down at the cat with curiosity.
"A Waffle with be a minute then." Em informed him as she reached down to pet Rebel. She went to grab a plate, almost tripping over Rebel when he decided her pets weren't enough for him.
“Okay.” Torz moved to grab a seat at the table. Nothing was on his mind..up until a few seconds ago, when he ran across a problem in mind. His mouth. A general tendency to freak humans out, as he’d learned with Ewa. Well.
Torz glanced over, clasping his hands together. He’d deal with the mouth problem whenever it came up.
Em grabbed a plate and opened the waffle maker. She grabbed the waffle out of it and put in onto the plate.
"Here." She said, placing the plate in front of Torz. "Bon appetit!"
Torz looked at the waffle. It looked good. “Thank you,” he quietly said, hands cautiously moving to the top of the mask that hid his mouth from view. It was clear that he was wary, for whatever reason, in revealing his mouth.
"You're welcome!" Em noticed that Torz was covering his mouth, but she ignored it, making her way back over to the waffle machine to make more.
Torz decided to just jump at it. There was no sense in hiding his features at this point.
Lowering his mask his teeth were revealed immediately, in which case they were probably his most demonic feature at the moment. They were very, very sharp. Torz began to eat the waffle.
