Lydia rolled around her bed, finished her essay just now. She had started it last minute and finished it just a minute ago, so she decided to search the web for random keywords and seeing what popped up. She scrolled through the pages with the keywords 'Help for sale', wondering how many funny websites she could find off of that.
Lokai was currently taking a much needed break from work, and was sitting back in their office chair. She wasn't too fond of it, as she didn't see why she needed to sit, or bother with anything involving a form that needed sitting, but here she was. Her break wasn't even voluntary–in fact, a friend of hers, a weapons supplier, had taken it upon themselves to check in with her daily, having her take at least three one-hour breaks a day
Lydia came upon what seemed to be an interesting page and opened it in a new tab. The website popped up and ominous sounding music came blaring from her computer. She quickly muted it, scrolling down the website. She clicked on another link next to some gibberish and her screen went completely white. 'What the hell?" she groaned, throwing her head back on her pillows. It seemed like her computer had crashed, but little did she know…
Lokai had only just opened a book on one of her screens when there was a blinding flash. "Oh gods–" was about all she could manage, seeming more annoyed than anything before she was suddenly dragged from her office. In another small flash of light, a large glyph appeared on Lydia's floor before Lionel found herself less than gracefully thrown onto said glyph, wincing a bit at the rough impact
"Holy shit!" she screamed, jolting back onto the bed. The computer flew from her hands and onto the floor, not broken but still in a rough position. "What the…how…" she muttered to herself looking at the figure
(When Lokia is on earth do they have a human form or are they the same?)
(they're the same)
"I'm not enjoying myself either, so if you could refrain from screaming like larvae, that would be appreciated," Lokai drawled, giving the stranger a look as she got to her feet. Her wings folded away, tucked carefully out of the way as she dusted herself off
She didn't want to be rude, but she had to ask, "Who are you?" she chirped, trying not to be a pest.
"My name is Lokai, and apparently you have successfully summoned me on accident, which is amazing considering seraphim are supposedly incredibly difficult to summon," Lokai huffed
"Seraphim? What?" she asked, astonished that the figure didn't seem completely pissed off or angry or much of anything for that matter.
"Seraphim. I am an angel of the highest class," Lokai responded, gesturing to herself as if it were obvious. "Unfortunately, humans have our image rather wrong, so I do look strange compared to your traditional visions."
"Very" she replied, her eyes wandering the figure's armor and stature.
"Good. Now that we're on the same page, show me what you summoned me with," Lokai more or less demanded
She pointed to the computer that rested on the floor, the screen reflecting off of the shiny, wooden finish
"That thing?" Lokai scoffed, picking up the laptop and holding it out at arm's length to examine it. "Did you find an article? Or was it some sort of pop up?" she asked, poking at it like she was trying to figure out how to work it
She snickered quietly, moving over to the angel. She moved the cursor across the screen, clicking a tab and showing her the link
Lokai scowled as she looked at the screen, taking the laptop from her to press buttons. "Stupid primitive technology…" he muttered, poking at it some more before looking at the site. Sure enough, it was a new one that had a lot of surprisingly accurate info
She watched her, amused, as she skittered through the links and information. She didn't know how the angel perceived her, but to her, the angel was absolutely gorgeous.
Lokai sat down on the floor, legs folded beneath her. Her nose wrinkled, regretting the descion to sit on what was probably a dirty floor but doing it anyways. She kept poking at the laptop before holding it by the screen in one hand and a strange glowing orb appeared from her free palm. She seemingly pulled a holographic copy of the site out of the screen before it disappeared into her palm
She was stunned. Never in her life had she seen or expected to see something like this before. What the hell was this angel; how much power did they hold?
"I advise you stay off that site, and any others you come across. I have a contact who will be rid of it shortly," Lokai said, handing the laptop back to Lydia less than gracefully. She got to her feet, dusting herself off with another wrinkle of her nose. "Filth," she muttered beneath her breath
"I vacuum three times a week actually." she spat playfully, some part of her actually taking a minimum amount of offense. She shifted in her seating place, wondering what the angel would do next.
"Well, I will take my leave now. Good day," Lokai said with a small hum. There was a faint flash of light, but instead of teleporting like she seemed to want to do, her form glitched violently and she let out a glitched noise of surprise before reforming. The sigil that had summoned her flickered above her head a moment before disappearing
She looked at the angel, shocked. "Why can't you leave?" she asked, sudden anxiety building up and her chest.
