“Okay, okay, sure, yeah.” Danny nodded, grinning. “But it balances out when I’m shortest in my family.”
“Okay, okay, sure, yeah.” Danny nodded, grinning. “But it balances out when I’m shortest in my family.”
"Huh. Yeah. But still. Nobody in my family is anywhere near as rough and rowdy as you. Except for Jack, maybe."
“That’s fair, I guess.” Danny picked at his nails with a slight chuckle.
Alex nodded. "Then again…Jack is the second kid of my Uncle's. So. His older brother has the same curse I do."
“Ah.. fuck. The curse, right. Right.” Danny nodded slightly, twisting the ring on his finger.
"Yeah. Every oldest son." he replied, shaking his head slightly.
Danny grimaced. “Sucks, dude. Sorry ‘bout it.”
He shrugged again. "Yeah. Well. Nothing I can do about it."
“..Yea, guess that’s fair.” Danny agreed, fidgeting with his hands slightly.
He sighed softly. "Well. That really put a dampener on the conversation. Sorry about that." he let out a faint laugh.
“Um- a little, yea, but that’s fine. Sometimes conversations are just tough.” Danny shrugged, laughing it off. “Don’t worry ‘bout it.”
He laughed a little bit, nodding. "Yeah, alright. Thanks."
“It’s just true, brother. Don’t shoot the messenger, but you don’t gotta thank the bastard either.” Danny shifted in his seat, trying to get a little more comfortable.
He shook his head a little bit at that, a laugh leaving his mouth again. "Alright, alright."
“You workin’ on anything new lately?” Danny asked, picking at his nails. “Like.. with writing or whatever? I feel like I ask this every time, but hey.”
(gtg in about five minutes, sorry)
Alex shook his head. "Nah, just the same stuff as usual. My personal project, and then my freelancer stuff." He replied with a smile.
(no problem, sorry my responses are so late lately!)
“Cool, cool.” Danny nodded, pushing his hair out of his face. The black dye was already beginning to fade out, and his hair was looking more like it did when they first met at the bar- a gross, faded out black-grey.
(it's alright!)
Alex smiled at Danny, stretching. "Yeah."
“I remember you were talkin’ about that like.. couple that you were writing.. And it like.. sucked? How’s that goin’?”
"Yeahhhh." He drew out the word. "Kasiya is still an ass, and Ari is a bitch, but it's working out better." He replied with a laugh.
“Least it’s not fallin’ apart, eh?” Danny gnawed on his nails and knuckles. “That’s good, at least. Writin’s a bitch, man, I dunno how you do it.”
Alex laughed. "Yeah. And half the time, I don't know how I do it either, man."
“No fucken’ way, brother. That’s nuts.” Danny laughed, shaking his head.
He snorted. "I sit at the computer and the words come, that's all I know. The rest is some magical process that can be done without my active participation."
“Damn. Most writin’ I do is just songs, but I gotta fucking collaborate on that shit and think about it.” Danny rolled his eyes at the statement, thinking of the many long nights (and mornings) that the band had spent in Oz’s apartment writing.
