“Of course! I’m happy to be able to help!” He said, humming happily as they worked. Sometimes he slipped up and spilled a few things, but they were all just small accidents and he was able to clean them up pretty quickly.
Any time there was an accident, Astral was quick to help clean it up as well. He smiled as he listened to Simon hum, finishing up and putting the small cakes into the oven to finish.
"You did great," he noted, grinning.
“Thanks! I had a lot of fun.” He said, smiling up at Astral. “How long will those be in the oven for?”
"About forty ish minutes," Astral said, setting a kitchen timer before putting it down. "What shall we do while we wait?"
“Shit I have no idea.” He said, chuckling softly. “I’m not used to having this much free time, so I don’t quite know what to do with it yet.”
Astral chuckled as well, wiping his hands off and cleaning up their work counter.
"Well, we could always find something to read in the library," he offered. "Or perhaps a walk in the garden?"
“Either of those sound great, so how about you just decide for us. Is that alright?” He offered. Simon was sure that whatever they did, Astral would find some way to make it enjoyable.
"Hmm… the library is closer," Astral said, smiling. He took Simon's hand in his, leading the man with him as he left the kitchen. He would keep track of time for them, his happy smile infectious as he opened the ornate doors.
Simon ended up smiling as well, happy to have Astral holding his hand as they made their way to the library. “So where should we start today?” Simon asked as Astral opened the doors, looking up at the shelves that stretched all the way to the tall ceiling.
"Well, why don't we read something?" Astral teased. "We could always grab our guilty pleasure books and settle down on the couch." The god gave Simon's hand a gentle squeeze before letting go, walking to the nearest shelves.
“Ha ha I see someone has a sense of humor.” Simon teased right back. He suddenly grinned, clapping his hands together excitedly. “Ooh! I have an idea! How about we pick something out for each other to read? That could be fun, right?”
