Huh? Seriously? "Ah, I guess I must have forgotten that." She laughed awkwardly and looked away. That's definitely me in the picture, but I can tell I've known Cassie longer, she seems more upset when I'm acting strange. "Sorry, I guess I just have been a little lost lately." What is going on?
Definitely suspicious. Charlotte put her phone away and toyed with her hair again. "You seem to have forgotten a lot of things recently. I'm Charlotte, if you forgot that too. You always used to call me Cherry, though."
"What's taking Nagi so long? I mean, it's not like we're friends or anything but I thought she said she was going to get her waterbottle…" Kaori spoke up, noticing how long Nagi had been gone.
"Of course I know your name. I'm not that forgetful." Nagi played if off pretty well, but this girl was up to something. It had to be to get close to Cassie though, since she is the main character. She must either love playing with people or she has a crush one one of the boys. Someone please help me out of this situation before something bad happens. Nagi silently prayed to herself. All I want is to live a normal peaceful life. Why did I end of being the friend of a main character?
Charlotte nodded, familiar enough with lies to detect Nagi's. She didn't bring it up, though. "Well, do you wanna hang out with your fake friends or do you want to sit with me?"
"Should we go after her?" Johnny asked, getting ready to stand up. "It is a weirdly long time…"
(…I have no idea how to re-insert Acacia into this.)
“If anyone goes, it should be Cassie,” Ian replied. “She’s actually Nagi’s friend.”
(Well, Acacia and Charlotte are the mean girls, so they're likely sort of in cahoots even if Charlotte is the actual bitch)
"It would seem weird if we came after her, maybe Cas should go instead…" Kaori responded, logic running through his head like always. And of course, he had to push up his glasses again. But if they got up to go after Nagi, that would be fine with him, as he was almost done with his salad anyways.
(Yeah, but I have no ideas how to do so. Maybe once Charlotte gets back?)
"Ah, you see I'm not feeling well, so I'm just going to call my mom to have her pick me up." Nagi then grabbed her water bottle and left before Cherry could stop her. Once out she ran outside and sat under a large tree it was nice a shaded it was wonderful. "Hello, mom? How's work. Ah, yeah I'm just on lunch break. No, no, I'm fine. A-Alright well, I'll see you later, bye." She hung up and just sat there, waiting for the bell to ring. The beach, after school I'm going to the beach so everything is fine.
(Acacia can meet Cherry in the class room.)
Cassie nodded, standing up from the table. She wandered the halls for a minute before finding her way to their previous class and peeking her head inside. "Nagi? You in here?"
Charlotte sighed as she watched her leave, her little smirk returning. "Ooh, I smell gossip. Something's up with that girl, I just know it." She and Nagi had never really been friends, though the picture was real. Their parents were acquaintances and had brought them together once or twice to see if they'd get along, which was where the picture of both girls smiling for their mothers' sakes had come from. None of it was really true, and she wanted to find out why Nagi was acting so strange. Alcohol? Drugs? Blackmail? Whatever it was, she had to know. She looked up at the sound of Cassie's voice, but didn't respond, pretending the room was empty.
"Guys I think I saw Charlotte go after her too." Will RESPONDED and ate his cookie.
“That can’t be good…” Ian added thoughtfully, snatching a cookie for himself. “But Cassie’s going after her so it should be fine.”
("RESPONDED" omg Idk why that's so funny)
Cassie sighed and left the room, walking down the hall to go outside. Maybe some fresh air would clear her head.
(My spell check suggested that so I went with it.)
Acacia walked into the classroom that Charlotte had walked into. She had been outside for most of the conversation and stepped in only after Nagi left, "Are you really going to go after Nagi like that? She's probably just having an off day or something."
Nagi closed her brown eyes and laid in the soft grass. It was actually quite comfortable. The breeze blew her hair and she quickly fell asleep. Maybe when I wake up I'll be back to my normal life. Maybe I really didn't sleep well last night. Then darkness took over.
"Never trusted Charlotte." Johnny said casually. "Something always seemed slightly off about her…"
"Oh, it's more than an off day, Acacia." Charlotte chuckled. "I tested her. Managed to get her to think we were best friends and she used to come over to my house all the time. Even if she were seriously hungover, she'd knew we weren't friends."
"Charlotte seems nice in her own ways…" Will said and put the rest of the cookie container back into his bag and thought.
"And how do you know she wasn't lying?" Acacia countered Charlotte slightly. From everything she gathered, Nagi could have been lying to appease Charlotte, "Lots of people lie to get out of situations they aren't comfortable in."
