finn smiled and sighed when they walked through the unlocked door. "Please tell me we aren't doing anything too illegal," Finn teased keeping his voice down. He didn't really care all that much. He looked around. Keeping track of everything and everyone around them now that they were more in public. He kept Brink close. His free hand tapping on his own side slightly.
Brink shrugged “I’d say no, unless you consider attending a concert without exclusive vip only tickets illegal…then yes but only if you’re caught.” He winked and pulled Finn up a few flights of stairs, the music getting louder as they went higher. They eventually came to another door that lead to scaffolding’s above the stage. Brink peeked out to make sure it was clear and walked out, holding onto the thin yet sturdy railings, stopping around the middle, directly above the orchestra which had just finished a piece
Finn rolled his eyes but grinned. He liked the thrill. Holding Brink's hand and sneaking around. "I guess we'll have to not get caught then," He said before letting Brink drag him off. He paid close attention to his surroundings. He'd never gone to any concert before. loud noises used to trigger his powers more. Didn't want to accidentally make the chairs around him go flying. He'd gained control on them though. His powers ver rarely triggered without him wanting them to.
“Exactly dear.” Brink found a spot that wasn’t directly in front of the stage lights but still offered a view of the beautiful venue as we’ll a seat the orchestra. The entire place was packed with sophisticated looking ladies and gentleman. If Brink has been alone, he might’ve snuck into the throng of people and stolen a few unnoticeable jewels and such. But he was with Finn, he wasn’t there to be a thief. He had wanted to show him something special, not to steal. He smiled softly and lowered himself to the ground, dangling his legs through the railings. He glanced up at Finn and patted the spot beside him
Finn carefully sat next to Brink. "It's beautiful," He whispered. looking slightly nervous but calmed as he looked around. This was out of Finn's comfort zone but he liked it. liked trying out new things especially with Brink. "Do you come here a lot?" He brought his eyes back to Brink. His hand was loosely over the other man's.
He nodded with a small smile, thinking back to when he had come here as a kid. He lightly traced Finn's hand, "yeah, me and Jacks used to sneak into here all the time." He grinned and nodded to ehe seating boxes above the main level. "We once snuck into one of those for a night, drive the security crazy." He laughed softly and rested his head again Finn's shoulder, lacing their hands together as a new piece started below. "We always snuck out before they figured it was us."
"thats good at least you never got caught," He said holding Brink's hand. "I wish i had a sibling closer to my age. It was just when I was younger." He traced circles on Brink's hand and turned to watch the performance. He remembered his own childhood. it was mainly just him and his parents. Well, his dad his mum was always doing tests around or to him never actually just being there and hanging out.
He laughed softly "we almost did, a few times." He scanned the area with a small smile, resting his head on his other arm. "You don't talk about your family much." He murmured softly, flicking his gaze to Finn's "must have been interesting if you had powers. Did your parents have powers too?" He asked, genuinely curious.
"No, they didn't. My father was a professor and my mother was a scientist. There was an accident in the lab when she was pregnant with me. that's the running theory for why I have powers," He whispered. "She had Poppy years later. Hoping to reenact what happened with me. I think my dad was hoping for a normal kid."
Brink's brows turned up in concern the moment Finn mentioned his parent being scientists. Brink had never had great experiences with doctors or scientists. He nodded slowly, "that must have been hard on you." He whispered softly, lightly tracing Finn's hand. "You deserved better than that."
Finn gave him a reassuring smile. "It wasnt all bad or anything. other than the powers my childhood was pretty normal," He said shrugging. His smile faltered for a moment. "They got into an accident almost a year ago. That's why I take care of Poppy." He lifted his head and gently wrapped an arm around Brink.
Brink faltered a bit, hesitantly leaning into Finn as he rested his arm around him. If it were him, Brink would have been glad that someone like that got hurt. Maybe he'd feel bad later on but he'd move on with his life. He sighed softly and rested his head against Finn's shoulder. "I'm sorry about the accident. I hope there okay." He wasn't entirely sure he meant it but if Finn felt any sympathy for his parents after what he had been through, then Brink would try to at least look at it from his perspective.
Finn just nodded not saying anything else. He watched the performance. His free hand holding Brinks. When Brink was no longer looking at him Finn smile faded. He didn't look upset though. More stone face.
His brows creased slightly in worry when Finn didn't say anything but decided to drop the topic, not wanting push into something sensitive. He tapped otut we rhythm of the songs out on Finn's hand, needing focus on something other than the guilt for bringing up Finn's family from building up
(hey went awol on here for a while on accident when focusing on school and work but I've been really wanting to come back to rping and writing! if you're still active and interested id love to continue the two 1/1 we have)
(hey great to see you're back! I'd love to continue both the RPS we have!)
(nice!) Finn relaxed slowly as they watched. Happy to have something else to focus on. His smile returned softly as eh felt the tapping on his hands. His own hand tightened slightly around Brinks. His eyes shifted to look at the other boy. Listening to the show but mainly focusing on him for a moment.
Brink glanced up, feeling Finn's gaz on him. "You ok?" He asked softly, pressing his hand to his cheek and kiss the back of it. "We can go if You're bored, I know it's not the most entertaining thing in the world." He chuckled lightly to himself "love, I don't think I'm part of the show." He teased lightly, blushing slightly as Finn's focus remained on him
Finn nodded his own cheeks heated slightly. "I'm not bored I just like watching you too. Love the show though," He said placing a soft kiss on Brink's cheek before turning to watch more. "your blush is adorable by the way." He leaned on Brink slightly. Now keeping his entire focus on the show until it ended.
Brink didn't know if it was physically possible for a person to blush more. He buried his face into Finn's shoulder and whined softly "where was all this bravado and smooth talk when we first met hm? You know I would have done anything if you'd just asked." He laughed softly, gazing up at Finn momentarily before focusing back on the show as it came to an end.
Finn smiled and laughed softly. "I dont know what you're talking about I was plenty smooth then," He joked shifting slightly in his chair almost falling off for a moment but he stopped himself. Still laughing slightly. He then looked back at the show watching the end. When the show finished he looked around as everyone below started to get up.
"mhm, sure you were my hero." He teased, standing and stretching out his limbs. "We should probably start heading back, I need to find Jacks and make sure she'll be alright for the night." He said, watching as the everyone started to leave.
Finn nodded. He stood with him. “If she needs somewhere to stay I’ve always got room,” Finn said taking Brinks hand. He really wouldn’t mind having her over. He trusted Brink enough to make this call.
Brink smiled gratefully but shook his head slightly "she prefers a large open space to herself, though she'd probably love to meet Poppy and definalty Willow. Maybe I'll bring her over tomorrow if that's ok with everyone." He swung their hands between them and gently tugged him into a walk "come on, let's go before the clean up crew comes and finds us."
"That would be great. I could make us all lunch or dinner or something," Finn said rambling slightly as he thought about all of them together. He walked with Brink. "Yeah, we should head out. It's getting late anyway."
