Gwen's breath was shaky and her voice slightly raspy. "I-… He-…"
"It will be alright."
"He's gone," Gwen whispered. "I… Accidentally… Killed him."
"Ok. Come on. Let's go"
Gwen slowed for a bit as she looked behind her, then walked after Ethan. She was shaken but glad it was over. She didn't see Raven or the glint of the swords blade.
Ethan walked out of the castle with Gwen.
Gwen wasn't far behind Ethan. "Hey Gwendolyn," A voice said. Gwen thought nothing of it and turned to reply. Her voice was replaced with a sharp gasp as Raven thrust a sword through her stomach.
Ethan grabbed Raven then tossed her and formed a wall of fire around him and Gwen. "Gwen don't move, alright."
Gwen tried not to move. But everything hurt. Even her wheezy breaths. She was gonna die here.
He moved moved his hand to her back and slowly pulled out the knife cauterizing the wound as he did.
Gwen smiled. "This is different to your dagger wound," She wheezed. "But Liam's right."
"I know this is different. but i need it out of your back if we are to travel."
"At least I won't be alone," Gwen sighed. "I'll have Maddie."
"Don't die."
"I really don't have much choice in that matter, Ethan," Gwen laughed, trying to lighten the mood a little.
"Then stop moving."
"That's really hard right now," Gwen said.
"Just breathe and shut up"
Gwen smiled at Ethan. She was trying her best not to die but it was harder than she thought.
Slowly he picked her up.
Gwen winces in pain a little and let put a gasp.
He walked out of the castle slowly.
"Wait. My sword. It dropped it when Raven stabbed me."
"Your life is a bit more important."
"No, you don't get it. That was the last thing Maddie gave me before she died. I dont want to lose it."
