Everyone's heard of the age old tale of the Prince rescuing the Princess, or even just a guy rescuing a girl. But what about when the Princess rescues the Prince, huh? Is that story told? Of course not.
Princess Gwendolyn and Prince Ethan are as close as can be. Being the heirs of neighbouring kingdoms, they were friends from a young age. Over time, that friendship developed into romance. Their love became well-known, and no one cared about anyone else's romances. Prince Liam and Princess Raven of two other kingdoms, once the talk of the realm, felt extremely threatened. The hatched a plot to remove Gwendolyn and Ethan. They told Ethan that Gwendolyn was trapped somewhere, and that he had to go save her. When he arrived, they ambushed him and held him hostage. So, Gwendolyn set out to rescue him. After all, she can't marry a dead man.
I would like to be Gwendolyn but I am perfectly happy being Ethan since I have an idea.

Appearance: Straight Brown hair with reddish highlights throughout it. Hair is usually brushed back and out of his face when he has to, but mostly it is a mess. Amber colored eyes. Strongish but had undefined muscles. Pretty skinny. 6'0.
Style: Plain black boring tunic, Black vest, dark pants and boots. When he has to dress up he wears a Dark navy blue tunic that has silvery accents, black pants, and regular shoes
Personality: kind, hates being in any kind of spot light, he likes to adventure but sort of fears it, Not optimistic or pessimistic kinda in the middle, Likes to read, enjoys peace and quiet, Charismatic but hates talking to people, introverted.

Background: Prince of the kingdom, though he is not seen often and people are surprised when they see him. Most of the time they have better things to gossip about than their introverted maybe vitamin D deficient prince. Appearance: Gwen is quite beautiful, but doesn’t pride herself on beauty. Her skin is a pale tan colour, with a small dusting of pale freckles along the bridge of her nose. Her eyes are crystal clear and quite unique: her left eye is blue with tinges of grey, while her right eye is green with tinges of blue. Her left eye is mostly blue and her right eye mostly green, however. Gwen’s hair is a natural red colour (actual red, not orange), and falls in waves around her shoulders. She has some mildly defined muscles.

Background: Gwen was always going to second in line to the throne. She was the younger of two girls, her older sister Maddelina being 12 years her senior. Gwen didn't mind though. It left her to do anything she want. So, she chose to get the guards and soldiers to teach her how to fight. She is proficient in sword fighting and had-to-hand combat. She's also extremely flexible and agile. Bonus fact, she has excellent natural hearing.
Gwen's parents died when she was 3, Maddie being 15. Maddie would become Queen in three years. Even though she had future-Queen duties, Maddie still chose to raise Gwen instead of give her to someone else to look after. Gwen and Maddie were close as can be for 10 years, until Maddie's murder at age 27. Gwen, aged 15, put out a reward to whoever could find the Queen's murderer before the Royal guards. He was found by the Royal guards and sentenced to death. Gwen then had to learn everything about being a Queen in the next 3 years. At age 18, she was crowned Queen.

Gwen's breath was all that was audible as she turned into a corridor. She kept her sword firmly in her right hand as she wiped the slowly dripping cut on her left cheek. Raven and Liam's soldiers had put up quite a fight, but she had defeated them. Gwen's breath was shaky as she realised that there were no soldiers in the corridor or planning to attack her.

Ethan sat on the floor of the stone cold empty room. His wrists had shackles on them and it was no use getting out of here. He had already tried but they smacked him with a sword to try to convince him not to try to escape. But in terms of dungeons it was a pretty nice dungen here. But being locked up was not a pulse.
Fuck it Ethan, She thought. I'm the girl. You should be rescuing me. Raven and Liam, newly appointed King and Queen of Liam's Kingdom, should know better. It takes about 3 years to master a skill such as sword fight or hand to hand combat. But 13 years? They should know better.
Ethan yelled out to the guard he knew was outside his door. "Um can you um come in here I think something is wrong, everything I am seeing seems blurry and I can't feel my hands." The guard walked in and kneeled down to look at his cuffs and Ethan quickly hit the guard in the head with his own head. In defence the guard buried a dagger in Ethan's shoulder than he walked out.
Gwen heard someone drop silently down behind her and whipped around, the tip of her sword millimeters from the strangers throat. "Raven," She hissed, but was stopped by a strong arm pulling her arms down and pinning them to her side. She felt the sharp blade of a sword pressing on her throat. Just by the feel of the blade, she recognised it as Liam's sword. She slowly started to turn the sword towards him, when he pressed the blade harder against her throat, growling "Drop it, Gwendolyn."
Ethan laid back against the wall and limited his movement. The pain in his shoulder was a bit distracting.
Gwen closed her eyes, blocking off all contact. Even though Raven was still in front of her, and her body forcibly pressed against Liam's with a sword at her throat, they were no longer there. All that was there was the white space in their minds that herself and Ethan shared. She just hoped Ethan would be there too.
Ethan closed his eyes and forgot about the world around him. It was the best he could do. He hoped it would distract him from his worries of how Gwen was, and where she was. He hoped it distracted him from the dagger in his shoulder. And most of all everything that he was currently worrying about.
