Evan looked over and pulled out a blank star map, which he offered too Marius. "Here why don't you map out your night sky for me? I'd like to see how well you know it. You should know it better than me a stranger anyways."
Evan looked over and pulled out a blank star map, which he offered too Marius. "Here why don't you map out your night sky for me? I'd like to see how well you know it. You should know it better than me a stranger anyways."
Marius glanced up curiously when the map was offered to him. He tentatively accepted it and spread it out across the ground so that he could begin mapping the stars. He fell into a sort of rhythm while doing so and seemed to become very relaxed. He was more amiable with another person than he'd been in a very long time.
Evan watched and decided to do something risky. He got up and lay down next to Marius, putting the blanket over them. "Don't worry I'm not making moves on you. You looked cold, and my mother taught me sharing is caring. Since I'm going to be here for a week I thought it'd be best to get on your good side." He gave an innocent smile, and looked over what he had mapped out so far.
Marius sighed and shook his head a bit, but he didn't lash out or try to take the blanket off, in fact, he curled up under it a little more to feel warmer. He continued on with his chart with a soft hum, seeming to be at least somewhat content for the time being.
Evan just watched as he ate the apple. Then he did something weird. He ate the core. Seeds and everything except the stem, which he tossed out the window. "You're really good at that. Move that star up one, it looks to be a foot farther than where you placed it. Anyways. From the ways Evelyn's letters described you, I would have never guessed you to be quiet like this, or so handsome in the moonlight. I do apologize for my rudeness earlier, but I guess I was looking through my sister's eyes. You aren't as bad as she says you are. At least. When you're happy and content like this. It's sweet really. I'm glad I get to enjoy this moment with you,Prince Marius." (Aha Evan is the best at flirting)
Marius rolled his eyes as he listened to Evan talk, adjusting his star map while he did so. What do you mean you didn't expect me to be so quiet? I'm literally mute. He shuffled around under the blanket again, his ears drooping a bit as he grew more tired. Your sister is very dramatic, you know. She's not any easier to deal with than I am, really. She enjoys pissing me off.
"I mean I appreciate you not screeching in my head all the time." He smiled and nudged Marius. "You're really sweet when you aren't complaining. And that's just my sister. She's a jester after all. It really does make me smike she hasn't changed at all. We're twins actually. So. We were quite the tricksters, though I'm always pulling her out of troublesome situations." He let out a breath and lay on his back, staring up at the sky.
I'm not sweet and I'd prefer if you didn't refer to me as such. Despite his snappy reply, Marius was still obviously being less overtly rude than usual. He hummed softly to himself as he continued working on his star map. I've got every right to be angry at often as I am, and you don't need to know why.
"I didn't ask." He said plainly. "Whether you tell me or not is up to you. I don't care anyways. That's your business." He reached over and tapped Marius's nose. "And you are sweet, but more like green apples instead of honey. I've taken quite the liking to you." (Evan should call him like Starry or some star themed nickname)
(Aww)
Marius huffed a bit and looked back down at his star map, glad that his mask hid the majority of the light flush spreading across his cheeks. I'm not sweet. He repeated, curling his tail around himself to try and keep warm. It was only getting colder as the night went on.
Evan noticed his shaking. "Do excuse me." And he pulled Marius closer. "If you'd like I can go see if Evelyn is willing to bring up more pillows and blankets,if you do not wish to be held. And. You are sweet. That's not bad. Don't worry I won't let anyone know."
I'm fine. Stop touching me. Marius half heartedly tried to push Evan away, turning his ears back a bit. He continued with his map, seeming to be almost done with it by now. The stars dangling from his hat obscured his vision a bit, but he didn't seem to care. He was used to it, after all.
Evan didn't bother removing himself, keeping an arm around him so they both could remain warm. Eventually his eyes began to droop and he gave off a yawn, snuggling his head down into his arms.
Marius eventually ended up resting his head on Evan's arm and closing his eyes. He wasn't physically able to yawn, but he was clearly tired. After a while, he drifted off to sleep, falling limp at Evan's side. He huddled closer to the other in his sleep, searching for warmth.
Evan gladly cuddled Derlik close, smiling in his sleep as he drifted off. The next morning Evan woke up to Evelyn bursting in the door and screaming. "Hey you fuckers quit banging. Breakfast is ready!"
Marius jumped at the yelling, freezing up and flattening his ears back against his head. What?! What the hell is wrong with you?! Jesus fucking Christ… He ran his fingers through his hair, exhaling shakily.
"Shush up Marius, Evans a heavy sleeper." Evan sighed and removed his arms from around Marius, and began to pack up his things. He left the blanket on Prince Prick, and got up. "Come down when you're ready. I'll save you a spot." He then grabbed his sister by the ear and began to lecture her as he dragged her down the steps.
Marius sighed and wrapped himself up in the blanket. It still smells like him… He thought to himself, flushing lightly at the thought. He shook his head to clear his mind and proceeded to pretend that he hadn't had the thought to begin with. He wrapped up his star map and made his way down the stairs, the blanket still draped over his shoulders.
Evan was busy chattering away with the mother, the father only shooting a military stone faced glare across at everything. Evelyn since she was the jester ate in the servants quarters.
Marius eventually managed to make it down the stairs, seeming pretty winded by the time he arrived. He took a quick detour to drop the blanket off in his room before heading over to eat breakfast.
(that's so puuuure) Evan waved at Marius and returned to his conversation,as he grabbed another few pieces of fruit, and laughed. It was a charming smile that filled features, making him even more charming.
Marius quietly sat beside Evan and picked up his breakfast so that he could begin teleporting it into his stomach. His magic seemed to be slower at the moment since he was still pretty sleepy from just having woken up.
(I'm drawing Marius on stream rn btw)
Evelyn came in and handed Evan a letter before tumbling away. "Hm? Oh! Mom is coming with Marianna. And is bringing Marius gifts since she couldn't make it to the party. Awesome." He smiled and tucked the letter into his pocket, and grabbed some bacon which he began to eat.
Marius kept his eyes firmly on his plate while he listened to Evan speak. Great… more of them. He said to himself, sighing softly. He finished transferring his food from his plate to his stomach and pushed it away, beginning to run his fingers through his hair to neaten it up a bit.
(remember Marius knows Crystal as a close family friend)
