Ee
Evelyn was currently singing some heros tune for more of the happy entertainment for the royal guests, when suddenly the trumpets sounded and in walked "Marianne, from the Nation of Obdin! Current princess and ruler! And her page Evan, also Astronomer." Evelyn dropped a glitter cannon and tackle hugged her brother. Evan smiled widely and hugged her back, before Marianne grabbed his shirt collar and picked him up. Now,when she dropped the glitter canon it exploded on contact with the ground, and it was pointed directly at Marius, coating him in glitter. Evelyn let go of Evan and went to go pick up the glitter cannon when she saw it had gone off. "OH SHIT!"
Marius growled angrily when he found himself covered in glitter, closing his hands into fists and trembling with fury. EVELYN! I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU THIS TIME, I SWEAR TO GOD! He ran after her with his tail trailing behind him, leaving a trail of golden glitter wherever he stepped. You know this shit doesn't come out!! He was fast, but Evelyn was taller, which made this process considerably more difficult for him.
"EVAN HELP ME!" She was quick and agile, when out seemingly nowhere Evan dashed in and put a hand on Marius's head, stopping him dead in his tracks. "It was an accident. Leave my sister alone. She hasn't me in over 5 years can you blame her? It's good to see she hasn't changed." He smiled and put his hand down as Evelyn went back to entertaining the guests. His blonde hair shun under the lights as he straightened down his suit with a hand.
Marius growled angrily again and grabbed onto Evan's wrist, gripping it tightly. Don't fucking touch me. You're lucky you don't know any better or I swear to god I'd have you tortured in some way. He reluctantly released the other male and strode off to his room so he could shower in an attempt to rid himself of the glitter.
Evan shrugged and went to go find his sister. Midget Man didn't scare Evan. "EVAAAAN!" Marianne screeched, all haughtily. He turned on his heel and walks over to tend to her stupidity. Soon though he was dancing the night away with other men. He scanned the crowd every once in a while for Marius.
Marius slipped back into the party at some point after he finished showering. He was mostly clean now, but golden glitter was still stuck in his hair. If anyone asked, he would tell them it was intentional, though. He was sitting on his throne now, of course. He wasn't about to mingle with the peasants until he was forced to dance. While he was a skilled dancer, he didn't enjoy it, or at least wouldn't admit that he did.
Evan very much enjoyed it, and most of his dances were with his sister actually. They were both classically trained together, and just knew eachothers rhythm. As they danced they both bitched about royalty and secrets shared between the two. They trusted eachother with everything. Evelyn complained about the mute impossible to entertain prince and Evan angrily told about the over achiever queen who couldn't spell the word Chastise right. Eventually Evan headed over of the snacks. This would be the perfect time to ask him to dance if anyone wanted too.
"Hello, Marius darling!" The queen wandered over to Marius's side, ruffling his hair affectionately. Marius pushed her away with an annoyed huff. "You like boys, right?" Marius looked up at her with a bewildered and disgusted expression. "Look! A boy right there! You should ask him to dance!" Mother. I hate him. "Oh, come now. You say that about everyone. Now go or I'll let Evelyn sleep in your room for a week." Marius groaned and reluctantly got to his feet to walk over to Evan. The queen has requested that I dance with you.
Evan looked down. "Not my queen. Not my country's prince. No. Go dance with the woman you're supposed to marry." He nodded over to Marianna, who was busy ordering around Marius's servants for food she wanted, like they were her own. Evan walked away as suddenly the lights dimmed. It was time to sing happy birthday and bring out the presents. (Evan won't be given as a gift until Christmas btw)
Despite the fact that Marius hadn't wanted to dance with Evan to begin with, the rejection definitely pissed him off. Who does he think he is?! He shook his head angrily and walked off, sulking on his throne until he was supposed to go down for presents. He obviously wasn't excited about it. He had Evelyn open his gifts for him since he couldn't be bothered at this point.
Evelyn after singing happy birthday opened all of his gifts, throwing balls of wrapping paper at him. Evan sat at Marianne's side with a star chart, and kept his eyes mostly to the windows. Marianne after all this had a quiet discussion with the queen. The queen nodded and Marianne spoke next to Evelyn, who was standing at Marius's side. "I have decided as a gift to let Evan stay here for a week. I will be back in 7 days to take him home as it will be Full Moon festival, and I will need his help with the decor."
Marius rolled his eyes and huffed. Oh, what a great gift! Thanks for leaving someone who fucking hates me here for a week! This, of course, he said only to himself. He did have some self control, after all, although he did still appear annoyed. He toyed with one of the stars dangling off of his hat with an almost inaudible hum.I'll be leaving now. He informed Evelyn, standing up from his chair and turning to try and leave.
Evelyn shrugged,as Evan spoke up, bowing to Marius. He still had respect. Evelyn dingle dangled off to her room to change. "If I may inquire,Prince Marius, where is the stairs to the roof,or highest tower? I have to finish my map of your star sky since it's so different from ours." His blue eyes shone in excitement. "While you do annoy me, I wouldn't mind you joining me as well."
Marius glanced up at the mention of stars, unable to keep his eyes from lighting up a bit. He considered for a few seconds before turning to his left and beginning to walk. Follow me. I go up there often. He led Evan to a wide spiraling staircase and started up them. The process seemed to tire him out immensely due to his small stature, but he didn't acknowledge his struggle at all.
Evan sighed and just picked him up. "You need to work out more." He said casually, as he set him down at the top of the staircase, and began to open up the roof. He noticed the way his eyes lit up from earlier and made a mental note, as he began to map out the major galaxies and stars.
Hey! Let go of me! Marius struggled against Evan's hold, his tail puffing up a bit. Considering how his mouth was magically sealed, he couldn't breathe through it in order to catch his breath. He was already seeing stars and only very reluctantly stopped struggling so that he wouldn't fall out of Evan's arms and down the stairs. He relaxed a bit when Evan set him down and brushed himself off, glaring up at Evan with an annoyed expression.
(Evan already set him down dude)
Evan stretched out on the floor and began his work, humming a song that the orchestra played earlier. Evan was really handsome, especially in the starlight. Suddenly he spoke up. "Are you going to keep death staring me for keeping you from fainting, even though you said you come up here all the time? Or are you going to come sit in the full moon and look well rather handsome in the light." He smiled a genuine smile, and wiggled his eyebrows at his attempt to be flirty. Really he looked like a dork.
Marius huffed a bit and hesitated before sitting down beside Evan. He curled his tail around himself as he looked up at the sky. I don't normally try to come up here at such a fast pace. I never needed to before. He gradually seemed to relax as he looked up at the stars, his eyes slowly regaining their wondrous shine.
"Hmm. Sorry I just got excited. If you needed me to slow down I would have" He then dug into his knapsack and set an apple in Marius's lap, before taking out one of his own to eat.
Marius eyed the apple suspiciously. Are you trying to poison me? He asked as he picked it up and examined it more closely. It didn't smell or appear to be poisoned, but he couldn't be too sure. Although I'm sure you wouldn't tell me if you were. He hesitated before his hand started to glow and the apple slowly vanished. It was teleported into his stomach, although Evan couldn't see that. It was the only way he was able to eat.
Evan shrugged. "I would've taken a bite, or multiple bites out of it to prove it wasn't. I picked them from your orchards on the way here." He said this kindly and plainly as he finished up his star map and took out a thick heavy blanket, which he wrapped around himself, as the cool crisp midnight air of autumn filled the room.
Marius nodded a bit and turned his attention back to the stars. After a few minutes of quietly observing the stars, he pulled a small, disheveled notepad out of his pocket and started sketching out the constellations that he could see tonight. He seemed to have several similar drawings.
