((oh boy, those are no fun. hit me if you need to talk!))
"I don't digest it well, and don't care much for the taste half the time either." She explained, shrugging a shoulder. "It was always too salty the few times I had it. I might consider trying it, though. Maybe just a small bite. A small stomach ache can be dealt with, if it really is that good."
(Haha thanks! I’m doing much better today. But like dang man. I really am just a mentally ill brain piloting a meat sack.)
“That does make sense.” He replied with a small laugh. “It does have a salty taste to it. I happen to be a salt addict, though, which explains a lot about my taste in foods.” Tali took her hands in his, smiling at the one he had fallen for. “You won’t be getting any stomach aches because I’m not going to let you.” He kissed her cheek lovingly and wrapped an arm around her waist to help her out the door and down the stairs.
((that is a Whole Ass mood man, i feel you))
"You know I'm still not wearing a shirt, right?" Osora pointed out as he helped her down the hall, stopping by a laundry basket and digging through it. She pulled out a shirt, tugging it on over her head. "Thank the gods for clean laundry. Okay, now we're good to go." She said, looking up at him and arching a brow as she started moving again, face twitching as her leg hurt again.
(Ahaha thanks. It’s been my mood all day)
Tali tilted his head, blushing when he processed her words. “Ah! I nearly forgot! Sorry!” He waited patiently for her to slip on a shirt, keeping a respectful eye down on the ground. He laughed softly when she returned to him and he could help her once more.
His entire demeanor changed, however, when he noticed the twitch in her features. “Are you alright, Osora?”
“I’m perfectly fine.” Osora said, nodding a few times as she held onto him. She wasn’t leaning all her weight on him, and actually looked like she was walking mostly on her own, but that was just a facade. She was leaning on him more than she’d like. “Knee just needs a couple minutes. It can heal while we walk, it’ll be fine.”
“Are you sure? A broken kneecap is a big deal. And it won’t heal right if you keep agitating it.” He carefully threaded her arm around his back, intertwining their fingers as he took more of her weight against him. “There, is that any better?”
She blinked as he adjusted his grip on her, leaning into him almost immediately. It felt natural, somehow, letting him help. She wasn't used to that. "I-yeah. Yeah, that hurts less. Thanks. And my knee'll heal. Worst case, it heals wrong, and I spend a day re-working the bone back into shape."
“It’s much better to let it heal the right way first.” He replied with a laugh, kissing her cheek. “I’m not going to let you walk on your knee all day you know. You’re hurt and i don’t want you to hurt yourself more.”
"You've got to stop worrying about me. I can handle a little bit of discomfort, you know." She complained, furrowing her brows just slightly as they reached the stairs. Instead of starting down them, she pulled out her phone, typing up a text quickly and hitting send. Her response was verbal, not over text.
"Is Tali with you?" Shou shouted from the kitchen, followed by an affirming 'yeah, is he?' from Reeha.
"Yes, Shou. Tali is with me." "Good. Apparently he's got more sense than you! Bring me a leaf!"
“Oh I know. Doesn’t mean you have to go through it though.” He replied, staring down the stairs for a moment. When Shou spoke, Tali swore in Korean, snickering at Reeha’s echo. “A leaf?” He asked Osora, looking over at her.
"He makes me bring him one every single time I go out. It started when we were in high school. I'm not sure what he does with them, or why he can't just pay someone to pick up a bunch of them." Osora said, shrugging a shoulder. She looked up at Tali, thinking for a moment. "Do that again. I mean-say something, in Korean. Your voice sounds nice with the language."
tali looked amused at that, a laugh leaving his lips. “I like that. That’s great. I didn’t know friends did such a thing.”
Osora caught him off guard when she asked him to speak again. His eyes widened slightly. “Ah, Korean? Oh… well. Sure. What do you want me to say?”
"He's just weird." Osora said with a shrug, pulling her bottom lip between her teeth to think. "I don't know. Anything you want, I guess. You could call me the worst names, and I probably wouldn't know what you were saying." She said, tilting her head slightly. "It would just sound nice."
“I like it if I’m being honest. It’s quirky.” He replied, starting down the first steps. “I’m not going to call you names.” He thought for a moment before grinning. “인생은 당신과 함께 훨씬 더 재미있다!”
Each step send a flash of pain up and down her leg, but she kept from showing it. Instead, she payed attention to his words, arching a brow. "See? It sounds nice. What did you say? I think I recognized the word 'you', but that's about it…"
“I said, life is much better with you in it. Because it is.” He brought her closer and smiled sweetly as he paused to give her a moments rest. “Korean was my first language:”
She blinked, eyes softening as she looked up at him. "I didn't realize I was such a positive influence. You make my world brighten, too. It shows, that Korean is your first language. It's sounds natural on you. Japanese is the tongue I first learned, English sprinkling in gradually."
“Mm.” He smiled happily and kissed her cheek a few times over. “I learned Korean first, then Japanese. I know some broken English from my time in America, but it is very very broken.”
She huffed that small breath of air, face flickering as she squeezed her eyes shut as he kissed her cheek. "The schools I went to taught us both, to make sure we were prepared. We get quite a lot of tourists, so it makes sense."
Tali’s smile grew. “We had very small tour groups at our shrine. Only a few certain humans deemed ‘worthy’ could come and see us. They were always strange. Especially towards me with all of that ‘Tali is a dark deity’ nonsense.” He laughed in remembrance of the accusations, conversations, and fights he had started with those that came to visit. He almost always won.
"For a dark deity, you sure are adorable and soft." Osora stated, looking him over consideringly. "You look like you could be one, though." She said, poking his abdomen and feigning an injury to her finger. "It's like you're made of marble. Even my abs aren't that solid. What's your workout routine?" She joked, her wink paired with her lack of expression making for it's own hilarious combination.
Tali gasped dramatically and shook his head. "I'm not soft! I happen to be a hardened ex-criminal." He chuckled and shied away from her poking finger. "My workout routine is called 'I can do whatever I want to my muscles as long as the muscle exists there before.'" He laughed harder and pushed her head against his playfully. "I do yoga, love. Did it every morning for a long time, now I'm falling out of practice."
“I’ve never done actual yoga. We should do it together sometime.” She mused, shifting before taking a step down the stairs carefully, having to stop again as her knee decided to nearly give out. “So that’s how it works? You change the muscles that are there? Could you hypothetically cause certain muscles to extend or something, like giving yourself an extra finger, just without the bone?”
Tali suddenly scooped her into his arms, not wanting to risk having her fall and harm herself more. “We should. It’s a lot of fun but also a lot of hard work. People seem to overlook that part of yoga.” He chuckled as he took the rest of the steps with her in his arms.
“I do. The more muscle or fat I have, the more I am able to mold and shape it into something different. I could give myself an extra finger without the bone, I could even make the muscles move like a real finger. But without bone I lack structure.”
Osora let out a soft noise of surprise, her eyes widening slightly as he picked her up. She didn’t tell him to put her down, though, figuring it was useless to argue, and that they’d get downstairs quicker. “I do ballet, Tali. I understand work. My feet can prove that.” She said, resting her head on his shoulder and looking up at him.
“You know, it takes some work, but I can manipulate other's bones. It just..drains me. But the point is, we could give you an extra finger.”
