His smile grew as she spoke, giving her a soft squeeze. "Me? I'm glad you think so highly of me. That makes one of us…" He mused, kissing her head softly. "I'm happy I met you. You make my heart sing."
His smile grew as she spoke, giving her a soft squeeze. "Me? I'm glad you think so highly of me. That makes one of us…" He mused, kissing her head softly. "I'm happy I met you. You make my heart sing."
"You make my world slow down." She said, turning her head to catch his lips, murmuring against them. "And that's quite something. It never stops moving at a hundred miles an hour." She pressed her lips firmly to his, for just a moment, before pulling back.
Despite the fog in his brain, Tali managed to kiss her back and speak coherently. “I’ll make every second count then. I’ll help you slow down to a healthy tempo.”
"You say that like I'm not at a healthy pace." Osora said, huffing a small laugh. The move caused her lips to brush against his again, but she didn't fully kiss him. "But I hope you do. Something tells me it won't be hard to make each second count when I'm with you, though."
“Well, you speak as if you don’t think you are at a healthy pace.” He retorted playfully, playing off the shiver that ran through his body as a shift in his hips. “I’m glad. I hope it’ll be easier.”
“Everything seems easier with you.” She muttered, eyes flickering to his. “The world in my head isn’t as scary. The world outside might be, but not inside. You make me less scary. And I love that.”
Tali’s grin seemed to grow. He wasn’t sure how to take such loving and kind phrases but he did know it was exactly what he felt too. “I feel the same way with my inner world. But you make me feel more humane. I feel like I’m really not as bad as I think I am.”
“You’re biased. You’re going to feel that way. I’m not, so I can see who you are.” Osora stated simply, incredibly sure. When you’d seen evil, when you’d looked it in the eyes and smiled, it was easy to spot it in people. Tali had made mistakes, but he wasn’t a horrible person. “And you’re incredible, safe and warm and deserving of the world.”
Tali burst into a small fit of giggles, shaking his head lightly so as not to disrupt their position. “I’m more then relieved that you think I’m not lame. But you yourself are loving and caring and deserving of the world and more.”
"Of course you're not lame. You're one of us now, furthest thing." Osora said, nose scrunching slightly like she was trying to smile. "The world and more might be a bit much for me. Can I just work towards deserving you, instead? That's close enough to the world."
Tali dramatically gasped and pretended to look shocked. “Me? Not lame? And your world? No way. This is too improbable. But say I agreed to that, and say I told you that you already deserve me, what would you reply?”
Osora huffed a laugh, and for the briefest moment, her expression cracked into a smile. "I'd say you were definitely wrong about that. But I'd tell you that I'm going to work hard anyway so that there's not a chance of you leaving. I'd say that maybe I'm close to loving you back the way you deserve, but I have to figure out what love means first. You deserve someone who knows, Tali."
“I myself don’t know about love, Osora. We can work on it together.” He said gently, kissing her nose and beaming. “If anything it’s me who doesn’t deserve you.”
"Maybe we've just tricked ourselves into believing we don't deserve anything other than what's horrible and toxic for us." She countered, returning the kiss to his nose with her eyes closed. "Let's learn together. I want to learn about love with you, Tali."
Tali’s eyebrows furrowed but he didn’t speak at first. He thought over her words carefully, biting his lip. “I want to learn with you too. Please, let’s change our thinking, and learn to love.”
"Together." Osora affirmed, pressing her forehead to his. "It can't be the hardest thing out there, right? If I can face the worst villains this city has ever seen, if you can keep up a fake face for hours and hours on end, we can do this. But first, let's get you something to eat."
Tali kisses her quickly in response, grinning happily at her words. “You need to eat too.” He purred softly. “Lets go get some breakfast, okay?”
"I'm not all that hungry, but fine." Osora said, shaking her head before nodding. "Alright. We should go out though. I know this little food cart that has these American-style omelets, but with ingredients you won't get in one over there….first, though, a kiss for the road?"
“You need to eat too, love.” He poked her arm gently, smiling happily at her. “I would love an omelet. Let’s go there.” Her request brought a giggle from his lips, but he leaned in anyways and kissed her softly. “There, anything else?”
"Mmm….one more thing." She said, pressing her lips to his again, for a bit longer this time, before pulling away. "There. And really, I just did some snacking, it's fine. The only thing I need right now are beans, I guess. For the iron."
Tali hummed happily, kissing her cheek right after and laughing. “Some snacking, huh? Mhm. Let’s go get you some actual food. With lots of iron.” He ran his fingers through her hair l, smiling sweetly at her.
“Chili is good for that. Haven’t had chili for a while. Might do it for dinner.” She mused, nodding. Carefully, she stood from his lap, pausing and inhaling sharply, before offering a hand to help him up. “Maybe I can get some spinach in my omelet, until then. What do you like in yours?”
"Now that sounds like a wonderful idea. American's make some of the best chili I've ever had. Maybe I can show you a recipe to use for tonight?" He offered, taking her hand and standing by her side. "I love ham and cheese omelets. Those are the best ones."
"I would love a recipe. We can make the chili together. Do you happen to have any that don't have red meat, though?" She asked, arching a brow and leaning against him for a moment to let her knee stop hurting. "Mmm, I like cheese omelets. I don't eat ham though, but when I used to, it was pretty good. Never had it in an omelet though."
(Sorry, I went off my meds again for a few days and had an existential crisis. I’m still partially in it XD)
“Yes of course. But do you not like red meat?” He asked her, raising a surprised brow. “Ah, it’s way good in omelets. You don’t have to eat it though. Ham isn’t for everyone.”
