“Yeah, yeah it did!” He said practically launching himself into Arien’s arms, grinning from ear to ear. “It’s good to see your face…” he mumbled.
“Yeah, yeah it did!” He said practically launching himself into Arien’s arms, grinning from ear to ear. “It’s good to see your face…” he mumbled.
Arien could have cried at that point. He hugged Rafael tight, kissing the man's head.
"I'm so glad you're back to normal… Love you, dear."
Rafael honestly was so close to crying. He held onto Arien tightly. “Me too…god me too…”
Arien pressed a few more kisses to Rafael's head, burying his face in the man's shoulder. He let out a small little chuckle of relief, pressing closer.
“We did have some issues though. I’m all fine now, so don’t worry.”
"Issues??" Arien was immediately concerned, pulling away a bit to look Rafael over.
"I'm sorry but that does make me worried."
“Yeah just some pain, it all went away as soon as we finished.” He reassured him, cupping his cheek. “I’m fine darling.”
Arien leaned into Rafael's hand, eyes going up to meet the man's. It felt so good to be able to know Rafael was able to look back at him.
"O-Okay…"
His smile widened again, and he gently brushed his thumb across Arien’s cheek. “Hi there.”
"H-Hi…" Arien smiled, leaning more into Rafael's cheek. "I love you…"
“I love you too…and I missed you so much.” He said, kissing Arien’s forehead.
Arien leaned into Rafael's lips, hugging him again.
"Let's go home…" The vampire mumbled, pressing close. "I missed you too, you know, I missed being to look in your eyes like that…"
“Yeah…let’s go home. After all, we don’t wanna get caught out in the daylight, right?” He said.
"Right." Arien held Rafael close, lifting the man up and starting out to the outside world. He was still worried, some, after hearing there had been complications.
Rafael looked around silently. He’d almost forgotten what things looked like, it was good to be able to see it all again. Though when he looked up at Arien to say something, he could clearly see the worry on the vampire’s face. “Hey, what’s wrong?” He asked.
"I just…" Arien let out a soft sigh. "I'm quite worried that there were complications. What happened? Did the healer say anything about lasting affects?"
“It was just a sudden pain. There was only about thirty seconds left so I just decided to tough it out. They didn’t say anything about lasting effects, so I think it’s safe to say there aren’t any. Everything’s okay.” Rafael reassured him.
"Okay, then…" Arien buried his face in Rafael's shoulder again, hugging him close as he continued down the road.
Rafael continued to look around, still smiling broadly, happy to be able to see it all again.
Arien was taking his time, for now, so Rafael could take everything in. He smiled some, pressing his face gently into Rafael's neck. He let out a happy sigh, so relieved things were better.
“Make sure we have enough time to get home darling.” He reminded him gently.
"Right…" Arien pulled his head from Rafael's chest, starting off for real then. He hummed some, arms tight around Rafael as they hurried through the streets.
Rafael hold on tightly, looking around when he could, and hiding in Arien’s chest when he couldn’t.
Arien reached up to tangle one hand in Rafael's hair, slowing when they finally came back to the house. He smiled some, moving to set Rafael down and hold onto his hand tightly.
Rafael gave Arien’s hand a quick squeeze, looking over at him with a smile. “Let’s get back inside, shall we?”
