Rafael drifted off rather quickly, his arms wrapped around Arien tightly, and his head buried in the other’s chest.
Rafael drifted off rather quickly, his arms wrapped around Arien tightly, and his head buried in the other’s chest.
Arien woke up later in the evening than he usually did, so comfortable tangled up with Rafael in the cosy little coffin.
Rafael was still asleep, curled up comfortably against Arien’s chest, snoring softly.
Arien looked down at Rafael, a smile coming to his lips. He rested his hand on Rafael's head, placing a gentle kiss on him.
"Good evening, my dear," he said, voice low and smooth.
Rafael stirred, his snoring stopping, and he smiled softly, moving into Arien’s touch.
Arien hummed when Rafael's snoring stopped, pulling him into a light hug.
"Did you sleep well?"
Rafael yawned, still just waking up. “Wha-?” He asked groggily. He had an awful case of bed head at the moment as well.
"Morning, sunshine!" Arien smiled, hugging Rafael again and running one hand through Rafael's hair.
“G’morning…” he said, yawning widely as he gently wrapped his arms around Arien.
"Sleep good?" Arien hummed some, smiling in the warm dark of the closed coffin.
“Mhm..” he nodded, resting his head on Arien’s shoulder, moving closer to the other.
"That's good, dear." Arien ran his fingers through Rafael's hair again, humming some.
He nodded a bit in agreement. “Is today when we’re going to the doctor?” He asked softly.
"It is," Arien said. "We'll have to get up soon and get ready." The vampire smiled softly. They'd get Rafael's sight back today…
He nodded, smiling, leaning over to kiss his cheek. “You’re not gonna let me cover these marks are you?” He asked with a scowl.
"You can if you really want to," Arien pointed out. "I won't make you if you don't want to."
“Eh.” He shrugged. “I don’t really need to. Plus it’d take too long to find something to cover them all up.”
"Okay, then," Arien said, nodding some. He pressed a kiss to Rafael's cheek, then reached up to unlock the coffin lid and push it up.
Rafael scooted over some so Arien could get out, knowing he’d most likely need the vampire’s help to get up and out of the coffin.
Arien lifted himself up, humming. He offered his hands to Rafael, to help the man up.
"Love you, dear. Shall we have food before, or after?"
Rafael fumbled for a second but found Arien’s offered hands, taking them to help pull himself up. “Well that depends, how much of the night do we have left?” He asked.
"Well, it's about ten now," Arien said, taking a moment to look at the clock. He helped Rafael stand, holding his hands still.
"What do you think?"
“Hmm…sure let’s go ahead and eat really quickly and then go. We don’t want to get caught out and about right before the sun comes up. No more close calls.” He said, squeezing Arien’s hands gently.
"No more close calls," Arien echoed. He hummed, smiling some at the hand squeeze before turning to head out to the kitchen with Rafael in tow.
Rafael held on to Arien’s hand, not knowing his way around this part of the house, just letting Arien guide him.
