Sure enough, the goosebumps and shivers were quickly replaced by her own heat as her blood flushed her cheeks and ears. She leaned into him as her heart quickened a little. She hoped it would not tempt his thirst. To think that just beyond his soft, beautiful lips could be a pair of sharp fangs, it somehow unnerved and thrilled her at the same time.
After a few moments, she squeezed his hand and pulled away. She felt his sweet breath on her, and she moved to kiss his cheek before giving him a small smile. Her arm went from his shoulder to his waist, and she moved even closer to him.
She leaned in slowly, both because she was a little nervous and she wanted to give him time to say no if he wished. Her lips pressed to the side of his now uncovered neck, soft and slow but growing in delight. It was cold and dark here, but she didn’t mind. All she could think I about was saying I love you, I love you, I love you, with each kiss to his neck, each squeeze of her hand. She did not go to the other side, where his scars were, just yet. She just leaned on him, her beating heart against his silent chest, and her face buried in his neck.
Every muscle in his body became stiff. His shoulders tensed. He wrestled with his mind to make sure he wouldn't repeat his mistakes. The sheer idea of it happening again is intolerable; he wouldn't know how to move past it if it were to happen again or if he did end up….No just thinking about it is too much.
And yet he has the whole world right in front of him. The greatest wonder of the world blessing him with the sight of her smile. Kangdae opened his eyes. They widened, reflecting the candlelight. He was not able to hold in a small laugh as she kissed his cheek. He will be fine and so will she be too. They have each other, and heavens, he can never not think about how grateful he is for her.
His whole body shivered. Tilting his head back, he let his lips parted. Each breath became slower than the last. Her soft lips left a warmth fuzzy feeling on his bleak skin. He is so used to the cold that he doesn't even realize it. The only time he ever does is when him and Jimin were together like this, but it isn't just the feeling of the heat or life. There is so much more, yet her beating heart is pounding in his ears. Her kisses leaving him with a thirst, wanting more. The desire of wanting her love roaring like a raging fire.
Her kisses traveled around to his throat, and she pulled aside his clothes a little so she could press her lips to his collarbone. Then she went around to the other side, kissed his neck while also being aware of where his scars were, then moved up to kiss his other cheek.
“I love you, Kangdae,” she whispered. Wrapping her arms around him, she held him close for a little while. He was cold yet soft, her love, her prince. Hers. Maybe one day they will be forced apart, but for now she held on as though she was a part of him, and he a part of her.
He was a mess of shivers, gasps, and heavy breathing. The desire for more only persisted. A thirst with no danger, one that he could indulge himself in without any fear. His senses were distracted and all over the place. Do as you please, his mind echoed.
Everything felt tight to the point where it could make his heart thump once. He enjoys the feeling. The hand that was on her back went to be placed behind her head. Then his other arm squeezed comfortably tight. Tears welled up in his eyes, yet he managed to blink them away.
Kangdae had a feeling that this is the calming before a storm. That the chances of them being able to meet may never be the same or worse will happen. He doesn't want anything to happen, but he knows something will. Regardless, he doesn't want anything to happen to Jimin.
"I love you, Jimin," He whispered back, "I love you."
It was happening again. Her thoughts were beginning to shut down. Desire boiled in her belly, tightened in her heart. She was on fire again.
But she couldn’t ignore the sounds he made. It was strange, hearing such frantic breathing and yet feeling no heartbeat to match it. Yet, her own heartbeat seemed to make up for them both. Her breaths were quieter, but shaky. Jimin raised her head a little, and reached to cup his cheek and look at him. His eyes looked wet. Oh, now she wanted to kiss his eyelids. She wanted to kiss his nose, his jaw, the corner of his mouth. Everywhere, everything.
She pressed her lips to his, softly. “Are you alright?” She was not sure if he was enjoying it or not, and couldn’t help but think that touching his neck would remind him of when he died.
Every inch of his skin was burning. His mind was ablaze with thoughts all while it prayed for this moment to never end. Kangdae didn't want to close his eyes to miss the chance of seeing Jimin and her mesmerizing beauty. He practically melted the second she cupped his cheek.
It took him a moment to register the kiss. By the time he did, his passion burned for more. He wondered if it is possible for him to ever say anything after being kissed by her. The sweetness of her lips are more than enough to stun his. Of course everything about Jimin is stunning to begin with.
"I am more than alright, Jimin," Kangdae assured. He patted her back slowly. Bringing his hand to her face, he traced her lips with his thumb. "When I am one with you, I find it to be impossible to be anything else."
He has no worries, fears, bad thoughts, nightmares, or anything whatsoever. The weight of his scars had been lifted. Kangdae is enjoying his new life. He is enjoying this and everything about it. Especially her.
Jimin nodded. His cold thumb tracing her lips was a relief from the heat inside her. She brushed his cheek with her hand in turn. “Alright. Good.”
Her lips indeed pressed to the corner of his mouth, before drifting and kissing him fully. It was hard and deep, her thirst and fire showing itself. It was a wonder that she had been so flustered about this a few days ago. She loved this, not only because she loved loving and enjoying him, but also because he had kissed her so many times before, and now she could make that all up with her own kisses. She kept her hand on his cheek, while her other hand dug into his back.
The brushing made his mind flutter. He stared up at Jimin, not wasting a second to blink with wide eyes. Oh he is more than alright. To be vulnerable, but to not worry about danger or getting hurt is a luxury. What is even more priceless is being with Jimin and all her kisses. If only he can put such feelings to words.
Or he doesn't have to, at least not right now. His eyes closed shut, but his love and desire has not. Loving Jimin and being loved by Jimin is how he can express it. Kangdae moved his hand to the back of her head, and began to gently caress it. The wanting for her touch…her kisses…her love…His thirst for it all flourished. His hand traveled down to her back, gently pressing her against him.
A small moan rose in her throat. Of course, she loved his touch and his loving of her too. She leaned into him and his caressing, pulling away to catch her breath before pressing her lips to his again.
Slowly, her hand moved from Kangdae’s cheek to his shoulder. Her other hand came around to his chest. Jimin pulled away from him, and gently pushed him down onto the bed. She came on top of him and grinned before peppering him with kisses. His nose, his jaw, the corner of his mouth. Everywhere in between. One hand reached into his hair, the other settled on the bed beside her.
Little things kept the flaming going inside of him. Breathing, moans, the feeling of life, and the way her lips press and move against his, it was more than enough to get his heart going. Even for him, he doesn't need to do such things like breathing, but in the moment, it's natural to him, it's worth it. Does Jimin know the abilities, the power she possess? If only she could feel the invisible heartbeats within him.
When she pulled away, his eyes opened. He laid back on the bed. Smiling up at her, Kangdae breathed, "Jimin…." His chest rose slowly and collapsed. His smile only grew as Jimin continued on with her kisses. The sensations left him feeling a buzz stinging the places she kissed. A shaky breath crawled from the bottom of his throat. Kangdae placed his hand on her waist. Every time Jimin kissed a part of him, another spark appeared.
When it felt like she had kissed everywhere she could, she slowed down. Jimin touched her forehead to her lover’s, taking slow breaths. She leaned against him, beginning to comb through his hair a little.
“I love kissing you,” she murmured simply. “Is there anywhere else I can kiss you?”
Oh, she was drunk on love again. She never wanted this to end. If only she could stay here, and sleep in his arms… but of course, that could not happen, for plenty of reasons. Was she getting tired? It was unclear. Drunkenness and tiredness felt like the same thing now. She felt caught in a trance. The way he smiled was a siren’s song, pulling her in.
"And where else would you wish to kiss me?" He whispered back. Clearly there are many other places. Many others clearly. But he knew that they cannot be together all night; Jimin needs her rest after all. She already appears to be sleepy, although he was rather unsure. The look in her eyes kept him thirsting for more of her love, but he knew that she could be tired too. He loves it when she looks sleepy; it's adorable. Either way, heavens is Jimin gorgeous.
Kangdae softly rubbed the side of her cheek. He kissed the tip of Jimin's nose. "Kiss me whenever your heart desires, but just know that anywhere you kiss me, I will do the same." He smiled then kissed her nose again. "Your kisses are more than delightful." A low laugh rumbled from his throat.
“Anywhere.” He fingers reached into his hair. She wanted to pull it out of the topknot it was in. “Except for the obvious places.” Her eyes briefly closed as she leaned into the cheek rubbing. When he kissed her nose, she felt her heartbeat quicken, waking her up a little.
She chuckled. “Well then, I shall do just that.” After giving him her own kiss on the nose, she went back to kissing his neck, burying her face and leaning into him. Part of her hoped she wouldn’t leave a mark, but another hoped she would. His robes would cover it anyway, right? Her blood simmered underneath her skin.
His eyes did not move away from Jimin. "Anywhere…" He repeated in a whisper. "Anywhere you want to." If only he was human then his face would be completely red right now. The shimmer in his eyes are the only indicator that he is just completely lost yet immersed in Jimin. Maybe the sweet smells of her is making his sensed overwhelmed.
Kangdae gasped. The moment between the little kiss on his nose to her returning to his neck blinked before his very eye. By the time he blinked, all he saw was red. Red….His hand clutched the bed covers. He gulped till his shaky breaths returned.
(Okay tbh, I don’t know how to respond ^^; I want to continue, I just don’t know how)
(Hmmm I might have an idea, but I gotta think about it more. Maybe something with Doyun sneaking in but like that's all I got. What do you think?)
(XD that would be hilarious. And also potentially traumatizing jdjdsjsfkn. i'm kinda thinking they could start talking about that mysterious person Kangdae mentioned, and go visit her maybe, or they could go for another date outside of the palace walls or something)
(Yeah I thought that'd be hilarious, but I really like your idea. The date outside the palace walls sounds good. What if they go into the capital? Would you wanna do a mix of them visiting the mysterious person on the way back from the date outside of the palace walls?)
(Alright then ^^ Sure, mixing it sounds cool, though Jimin might be pretty sleepy on the way back)
(Sweet! I'm sure Kangdae will be more than happy to carry her back to her quarters)
(Nice. I’m good with that then, I’ll try to continue)

Her lips brushed against his neck, his throat, and a little on his collarbone again. Jimin lingered there for a little longer than before, and when she was done she just sighed against him, her face still buried there.
If she had stayed there any longer, she might have dozed off, but she eventually raised her head and pressed her lips to his. Her hand moved to caress Kangdae’s cheek, hopefully to calm his breathing.
“I know this was my idea, but I’ve been doing all the work,” she complained, just a little, a soft laugh on her tongue. “Although, would you want to do it like this again? Next time?”
Soon everything in his vision turned back to normal. The first thing he did was look down at Jimin and softly caressing the back of her head. He smiled as they kissed. Everything is alright. His chest heaved despite his efforts to be more gentle and calm. It returned back to its normal pace thanks to Jimin. Kangdae slowly breathed while relaxing under her touch.
He quietly laughed at her complain. "I promise to return the favor so you do not have to exhaust yourself." Kangdae laughed again before kissing her forehead. Once he nodded, he hesitated. His eyes growing wide with longing. "Does this mean you have to go? My love, please don't- not so soon."
Her eyes were fixed on him as she kept brushing his cheek. She breathed with him so he would calm himself. A small grin spread on her face as he kissed her. “Thank you, I would appreciate that.”
Jimin paused, trying to keep herself from fawning over the look on his face. “No, love, no! Far from it, I do not want to leave either. I just wanted to ask. Besides, I just thought of another way to spend our time.”
She glanced over to the balcony, the sky outside glittering like black silk and diamonds. A memory surfaced from not long ago and yet feeling like it was ages past. Eternity…
“Two nights ago,” she said, turning back to look at him, “you asked me if I wanted to go to the river or the city. We went to the river, but we never got to see the city together, did we?”
Kangdae fought off a smirk with the help of using puppy eyes. Time goes on too quickly. It is terrible how it just goes on and Jimin and him must separate. It is utterly unfair. Even if she stays for just one moment, he will be happy. Just one more moment with his beloved Jimin, that is all.
"Huh? Another way? What? What is it?" A new look of eagerness lit up in him. If he could, he probably would have jumped off the bed in excitement, but he was not able to so he only lifted his head slightly up.
He took a glimpse at the door, then down at his robes, and over towards the balcony. Returning his eyes to Jimin, he shook his head. "Would you like to go out to see the city with me then?" He whispered. "I can get ready swiftly so no one else will know about our little adventure."
