King followed him down smiling. He got to the bottom and started heading to the kitchen to see if he could help, "It really is. Your lucky to have him as an older brother."
King followed him down smiling. He got to the bottom and started heading to the kitchen to see if he could help, "It really is. Your lucky to have him as an older brother."
Pax listens before nodding. "Colby is all I could ask for. After our parents died… It was just me and him. Despite his work he makes sure to keep me safe…" He shrugged a little.
“I can tell,” King responded with a smile, “As long as you two are together you’ll both be fine.”
He stepped into the kitchen and towards Colby, “Need any help?”
Pax nods in agreement before giggling quietly as he looked into the kitchen. "shhhh!" He pulls King back a little. "Listen!" He points to Colby, who at the moment was singing as he worked, his hips swaying as he did so. He looked like he was in his own little world, filled with peace.
King looked at Colby who was singing and kind of dancing and holy shit he looked kind of hot doing it and at the same time adorable. He was mesmerized for a moment before looking to Pax, "He looks so peaceful…"
Pax listened, his eyes shit as he listened to his brother sing. He giggles quietly when King spoke to him. "He loves his music. He seems more at peace when he's doing his own thing."
"He really does," King agreed with Pax and shut his eyes as well enjoying the music. He had not been expecting this out of Colby, then again he should be used to surprises at this point.
He smiled a bit, before turning his gaze towards King. "We'll leave him be for now." He says quietly, walking into the living room.
"Understood," King responded softly and grinned at Pax. He carefully walked away to the living room, "Is this what he normally does?"
Pax settled onto the couch. "Normally when he's stressed or tired he'll sing. Or he's in a good mood. You can usually tell what mood he's in." He chuckles softly.
"So he's tired and stressed at the moment?" King suggested. This was all new information to him and he wanted as much of it as he possibly could attain.
"Tired but happy. You can tell by the way he swings his hips. It's wider, less focused." He smiled a little bit. "He's loose when he's happy, but he's slightly more restricted when he's tired.
"You've seen him doing this a lot I'm guessing," King commented with a laugh. He thought for a moment, "I don't know why he would be happy though."
"He does it a lot… Especially after a long day. He'll just trap himself in music and cook." Pax smiled a little. "Or if he's in a good mood after a successful day." He shrugged. "It helps him cope with me being sick, work, or just life in general. I'm guessing he's happy because I'm walking around the house, you're here, and he hasn't had any work calls lately.
"I guess that would be a reason to be happy," King responded running a hand through his hair. He let out a sigh and thought about his own life he was neglecting at the moment, "I'm glad he's got a way to bring his mood up."
He smiled a little bit. "It's nice seeing him like that." He says softly. He glances over at King. "Do you have… A way to bring your life up?" He asks curiously. He tilts his head, turning his attention to King.
“I suppose,” King said after some thought, “Normally when I have a bad day I go out and help people. Knowing that I helped them out typically causes my mood to rise as well.”
Pax smiled at that. "That's really kind of you, King." He giggles softly before looking up. "What do you do for your job?" He asks curiously.
"I work part-time at a cafe," King responded. Though I do vigilante work all the time for free, "Family friend owns the place so she's okay with me taking so many days off at the moment."
He nods. "I've always wanted to be a doctor. But with how my sickness is going, I probably won't be able to achieve that until later in life." He shrugged and sighed quietly.
"Hey, I'm working to be a lawyer," King gave that information freely, "It's taken me some time, but you'll get there eventually. And I bet you'll be a great doctor."
"If… I even live to that time…" He mumbles softly before going and curling into Kings side. "I think you'll be a great lawyer…" He mutters.
King laughed and carefully wrapped one arm around Pax. He smiled down at Pax, "Well thank you. And I know you'll live to that time. You're a fighter, I can tell."
Pax smiled at that, his eyes shutting as he sapped off of Kings warmth. "Thanks I guess." He chuckled softly, looking rather shy.
King let Pax stay there. He had a grin on and glanced down at Pax ruffling his hair slightly, "You're welcome."
