"Colby does that as a thank you usually. But other times he means it as an I love you unquestionably." He smiles a little at the other. "As for it being purposeful, he doesn't just kiss people, even if he's tired." He shook his head.
"I," King didn't know what to say about that. Colby couldn't, more like shouldn't, fall in love with King. And King most certainly shouldn't fall in love with Colby, but King was falling anyway, "I guess that makes some sense. It wouldn't stand well in court however."
Pax looks down. "I honestly think that people should love who they want." He says quietly. "And why wouldn't it stand well in court?" He asks curiously, looking up at the other with a raised brow.
"It's not a very sound arguement, but it does get your point across," King sighed and shooked his head a little, "Don't mind that I tend to make comments like that sometimes. And, I tend to agree. People should love whoever they want."
Pax nods. "Colby keeps getting into bad relationships… It'd be nice to see him with somebody that cares about him." He looks over at King. "Alright…" He mumbles as he fiddles with the edge of the book.
King paused for a moment. He didn't want to explain how messy it would be if Colby and he were to get into a fully committed relationship, "Yeah. What are you reading?"
Pax gazed down at his book. "Its a book called Lockwood and Co." He smiles a little, tracing the cover. "My brother reads it to me all the time. Its about ghosts and three teens. Its interesting."
"I would think so," King responded with a muffled laugh. He could see Pax cared about the book if he had read it multiple times over, "Teenagers and ghosts? Always an interesting combination."
Pax giggled quietly and nods. "It's super interesting! I own the whole series." He laughs softly before looking at King. "What do you like to read?" He asks curiously, tilting his head in a questioning manner.
"God when was the last time I read something for fun," King muttered to himself deep in thought. It took him a few moments before he laughed and shrugged, "I don't know. I haven't had the time to read in a while."
He smiled a little bit. "Maybe you could come in some time and listen to the book? Colby is really good at voice imitations." He hugs the book close to his chest, almost like it was the worth of gold. To him it was.
"Maybe I will," King gave Pax a smile. He wanted to ruffle Pax's hair but didn't because he respected Pax's personal space at the moment, "You'll have to tell me when he's reading to you."
Pax smiled warmly before chuckling quietly. "You can touch me, you know. I won't get you sick." He teased. "Last I checked, I have very curly hair." He nods at Kings statement. "I definitely will."
King gave a side smile as he reached over and ruffled Pax's hair. His hand retracted once the urge was over, "Indeed you do. Thanks for inviting me whenever then is."
Pax smiled before laughing quietly when his hair was ruffled. He loved it when people played with his hair. He nods eagerly. "I will! I promise."
"You two look like you're having fun." A voice teases behind them. Colby smiled warmly at his little brother and at King.
King quickly turned around to see Colby. His face heated up slightly, but you couldn't tell all that much. He gave Colby a grin, "We are. Even making plans to have more fun while your away."
(Done?)
Colby smiled a little bit. "When the cat's away, the mice will play." He teases before walking to sit on the bed with them. "How are you feeling, Pax?" He asks gently. Pax grins. "Much better! King came in and checked to see if I was doing okay."
(I posted it unfinished and then edited it so it was right.)
King nodded and laughed a little. He looked to Colby and then back to Pax, "That's one way of putting it."
He smiled a little, ruffling Pax's hair. "Right. Well. I think lunch is in order if you two are hungry." He laughs quietly, brushing some hair from his face.
"I'll never say no to food," King grinned a little at Colby, before looking to Pax and saying in a very serious tone that still held this air of lightness to it, "The first rule of the world is never saying no to free food. Got it?"
Colby laughs quietly, nodding before standing up and walking into the kitchen. Pax looks up when he's addressed before listening intently. He nods, "Never say no to free food, or to Colby's cooking." he giggles as he slowly stood up. He wrapped himself in a blanket before waiting for King.
King laughed as he stood up and watched Pax. He walked over to the door making sure Pax was in eyesight at all times, "Yes, to both of those. If you remember that, you'll do just fine."
Pax walked beside King, giggling quietly as well. "I can never say no to Colby. His food is always so good!" He says softly, looking up at King. He carefully went down the stairs in the kitchen where Colby had already started dinner.
