Loki struggled to keep up as the man walked faster but managed. He glanced around, not recognizing the area around him. He focused on Avalin and the fact that he was doing this for her ensured safety.
Loki struggled to keep up as the man walked faster but managed. He glanced around, not recognizing the area around him. He focused on Avalin and the fact that he was doing this for her ensured safety.
Avalin arrived at the castle quickly, immediately starting to look for Thor. She shook her head, knowing that she had to do something to help Loki.
The man arrived at the door and rolled his neck, pulling off the cloak from around his shoulders and leaving it by the door along with the hat. "Act like you were beat up, it'll help it become more believable and we can get out of this place faster." He said, opening the door before grabbing his arm roughly and shoving him inside, following right behind him. It was clear that this was a club of sorts, with loud music and hundreds of people dancing. The middle of the floor was just empty space, a hole cut out of the floor of each level so that you could see the DJ at the bottom, surrounded by hundreds of multicolored lights that lit up the whole building.
To sell the act, when the man shoved Loki, he purposely fell hard on his side. He pulled himself up with a grunt and walked on, casting a slight glamour spell on himself to add bruises and cuts.
Thor was in the throne room going through papers and requests from citizens as well as Valkyrie reports
A few people glanced over at the two of them, though most just kept on dancing and talking. The man walked alongside him, a firm grip on his arm as he led him to a dark door that blended in with the dark walls. He knocked on the door and it was opened by a very tall woman with purple skin and multiple tattoos. "I'm here to see Arrow," He said to the woman, who nodded and closed the door again, opening it a few moments later, handing him a small slip of paper and closing the door once again.
Avalin wandered around the castle finally finding Thor. Her eyes were watering and she knocked on the wall before slowly making her way to him, "Thor..?" She said softly, looking at the ground.
Loki noted the name and the slip of paper in his mind and continued forward when the doors opened
He glanced up "ah Avalin, I thought you and Loki we're going out today?" He stood and walked over to her, his eyes widening as he saw tears "what's wrong?" He asked softly
"I..he…they.." She tried her best to keep from crying, wiping the tears away with her hand and standing up straight. "He's….he took my place and now I don't know where he is, he took my place when they captured me and now the guy took him to win a bet." Her eyes showed no emotion but her mouth gave it away, quivering as she tried to not show how scared and worried she was.
The man put hand in front or Loki, "Not yet," He hissed "We have to go mingle and act normal while Arrow comes to get us." He grabbed his arm again and pulled him away from the door, tucking the slip of paper away before pulling his captive towards one of the few empty tables around.
Thor listened as she spoke, "typical of my brother of course." he shook his head "do you know anything distinguishable about this man?" he asked as he already started forming a plan
Loki rolled his eyes and glared around how in hell was he supposed to mingle? he was tied up and gagged, what were thee people, telepathic he cringed back the thought hell, he was telepathic…
Avalin thought for a moment, "He's pretty tall..and I think his skin has a blue tint.. he knew magic and seemed to know a lot about me and you two.. and I'm pretty sure his clothing was all black besides a white band around on one of the sleeves of his shirt.." She sighed and clasped her hands together behind her neck, "I didn't pay much attention, most of the time I was worried about not getting stabbed with the dagger any more."
The man motioned to one of the chairs, "You, stay here, people might try to talk to you, just ignore them, they're all drunk. I need something to drink." He spun on his heel and walked to the nearest bar, ordering a bright blue drink that didn't look healthy or safe for anyone to drink.
Thor nodded "must be one of the Abandoned Realms then…" he called his most elite Valkyries to the room and explained to them where they all must search "is that understood?" They all nodded and left as fast as they came. He turned back to Avalin "are you coming?" he asked
Loki gave a sharp nod and sat in the chair, trying not to make eye contact with anyone. He closed his eyes and focused on his wife, how he loved her with every inch of his being and the life they would have together once this mess was over
"Yes," She said quickly, "Can I go change into clothes that might be better for searching quick?" She looked at her dress and then back up at Thor.
The man quickly downed part of his drink and started walking back to Loki, stopping to talk to another woman with the same blue tinted skin as his. She had bright orange hair that was braided into hundreds of long and tiny braids and she had a matching blue dress that was only a shade darker than her skin. The man grinned and finished talking, sitting down across from Loki.
Thor nodded "yes, these some extra valkyrie armor in the other room." he said while he headed for the armory to grab some weapons
Loki sighed from his nose and kept his eyes closed concentrating on Avalin
She nodded and headed to the other room, changing into a set of the armor. She pulled her hair back into a braid and headed towards the armory, looking slightly like an actual valkyrie.
Thor waited outside "ready?" he asked, "I told you my brother was a handful"
"It was my fault though, I was the one that went to look at a piece of jewelry alone." She nodded, "Let's go."
"Having fun?" The man asked, sipping the strange colored drink and listening to the overly loud music, "I would offer to buy something to drink, but then you'd need the gag out and your hands untied."
Thor shook his head "Don't say that, Loki would've found trouble either way. Plus if they were after a royal, he would've sacrificed himself in the end anyway." he tried to sound reassuring for Avalin's sake but felt the same dread as she.
Good, less reason to talk, Loki thought. He hadn't drank anything since this morning but he wasn't going to beg anything from his captor
"I should've done something more," She said, shaking her head, "Let's get going before I overthink what i should've done." She walked to the armory quickly and grabbed a bow and arrows before coming back to Thor, "Where are we going to look first?"
The same woman that gave the man the slip of paper came over to them again, tapping them both on the shoulder. The man smiled and finished his drink, standing up and glancing at the woman, "Arrow's finally ready," He said to Loki, motioning for him to stand up as the woman made her way back to the door from earlier.
Thor nodded "we're heading to Alkiriem first," he said as he grabbed his weapon and his hammer
Loki's eyes opened and nodded, standing from his chair and following the man
Avalin nodded and made sure that she had enough arrows, "How are we traveling?" She asked, heading for the main doors. She was still quite worried for her husband and she tightened her grip on the bow to try to calm herself down.
The man walked back to the door from before and motioned for Loki to go in first, the woman from before seated next to a large man.
"the Bifrost of course, how else?" Thor said with a slight smile. "We'll find him Avalin," he reasured her, sensing her worry.
Loki walk through the threshhold hold counting how many people there were in the room 4 including his captor, shouldn't be too bad. He looked the larger man in the eyes
"I know, I know, it's not going to stop me from worrying though," She sighed and shook her head, heading towards the Bifrost.
The new man was strongly built, with plenty of muscle and a few weapons strewn around the room. "Rhebsu, leave," he said in a booming voice to the woman who promptly stood and walked out with a small glance at the man that had captured Loki. "Risken, you actually followed through," The new man said, causing Risken to nod as he stood next to Loki.
"believe me, I think he's more worried about you," he offered "are you ok by traveling like this? I know your hesitation about magic,"
Three, not bad, could get better though Loki studied the larger man Risken…his captors name was Risken. Loki continued to glance around, never leaving his gaze off the larger man for more than a few seconds
She took a small breath in and nodded slightly, "I..I'll be fine." She said, "Just..I'll be fine." She stopped her sentence before she could say anything else and she nodded again, "Let's get going."
"I didn't expect you to actually complete the task," The large man leaned back in his chair and looked around the room, "I'm tempted to say you just set this up, that you bribed the prince into coming with just so you could collect your money and prize." Risken shook his head, "i didn't set this up sir," He said, seeming quite nervous around the man, "I promise Arrow, I didn't set this up, I captured him easily."
He glanced back at her "you won't even feel it," he reasured, determination to find his brother coursing through him
It took everything in Loki's power not to roll his eyes, he still wasn't used to being treated other than with respect. Instead he trained his eyes on the ground
"I hope so." She said to herself, jogging to catch up to him, "What's it like? Traveling by the Bifrost?" She looked at the ground and focused her thoughts on finding Loki.
the man studied the prince and Risken, "I'll believe you for now, since you haven't let me down before." He waved his hand dismissively and looked around, "Go collect your money and tell your sister she can go." He glared at Loki, "And you, tell your brother to stay away from this planet, we don't need anyone to tell us 'what were doing wrong.'" Risken nodded, a faint smile on his face as he grabbed Loki's arm and drug him out of the room.
He tried to put it in words but failed "there's no true comparison to it other that
N sky diving but going up instead of down," he said with a smile
Loki bit down into the gag as he clenched his teeth. my brother is the last thing you'll have to worry about once I'm free he allowed for the man to drag him away
