Sam nodded again, expression clearing ever so slightly. “So,” he cleared his throat, a tiny bit of emotion re-entering his face. “Any other relationships I should know of, as to not accidentally get in the way of them without realizing that I’m doing anything?” He meant it sincerely, not sarcastically, the last thing he wanted to do was mess up again.

"Seriously, dude. Chill. You're not getting in the way of a single thing." Sol thought for a moment. "And if anything, you're helping. Just like with working out, putting pressure on something and pushing it out of its comfort zone makes it stronger as long as long as you try," She added.

Luca blinked in surprise, setting her mug down onto the counter. "No, Sam. Cam and I only recently got together. It's still pretty new. You haven't messed anything up." Her voice came out a little more chilled, but everything else about her was relaxed, casual.

Sam shrugged once more, slowly loosening up again. “I just don’t want to mess things up. New team and all. You know?”

"Hon, it would take a lot more than you 'messing up' a relationship to boot you off the team. Trust. You're doing great. The shenanigans are something to get used to, but we've all been where you are. Scared and overwhelmed, but look at us now. The most highly sought after criminal thieves in the world." Luca beamed, sipping her tea once again.

“Thanks,” he told her quietly, finally allowing the mask to slip from his face.

Luca reached forward and grasped one of Sam's hands in her own. She squeezed it tightly in comfort. "You don't have to thank me. I've got your back." She whispered to him with a wink.

He offered a small smile, eyes flickering in the direction of where Cameron had disappeared to. “Thanks.”

"For the record," Casey sipped her tea, then set it down. "I haven't felt what you're feeling."

(Is having Casey sip her tea everytime she says something sassy a plot device? Is that what a plot device is?)

Sol placed her hands under her chin and smirked. “I was never really nervous, I was always more cocky than anything.”

Casey smiled. “Sure Sol. Anyways, while you guys are at the gym, I’m going out. Don’t be more than three hours.” She took the last gulp from her tea, put her mug in the sink, and walked to the bathroom to take a shower.

Sam suddenly remembered that he'd left his bag by the front entrance. "Is it okay- Is it okay if I unpack my things?" he asked Sol, glancing after Casey's retreating back. "Or is it too early for that?"

“Not too early,” Casey called over her shoulder. “And everyone should be ready to talk about yesterday by the time we’re all back. Luca, be sure to tell Cam that.”

He nodded, confusion flitting across his features for a split second. Yesterday? He supposed he would find out soon enough… Sam said goodbye to Luca and Sol, slipping away to the room he remembered Sol labelling as his own.

Luca nodded at Casey. Waving to the newbie and saluting Sol, she took two cups of tea back to the forge. After a brief second of knocking she let herself in. She placed Cam's tea refill on the desk, pecked him on the cheek and ducked out once more, heading to her room to get ready for the day.

Casey got out of the shower, dried her hair and got dressed. No one else was in the living room or the kitchen. She put on her coat and dialed a number into her phone, calling a driver. She went outside as the black car pulled up, and got in.
