(Whoops, assumed it was tea. Haha I'm dumb)
Casey's only reaction was stepping back and raising her eyebrows. "Now, now, Cameron, that's not how we bhave in front of our guest, now is it?" she asked softly, indicating Sam with her hand.
It was totally Sol she would do that shit))
(I thought so tooooooooo
I almost had Casey say that, but I think Cam might've killed Sol)
Sam shook his head quickly, resisting the urge to hide behind Sol– but barely. "It's fine, don't change anything on my account. I- I'm Sam, nice to meet you." He directed this towards the man that Casey had called 'Cameron', hoping for a positive answer.
Luca stepped in between Cam and Sam (LOL BARS) and gave the newbie a big hug. "Welcome to the Cathouse baby!" she said as she squeezed him gently. She pulled back to give him a gentle smile. "I knew she'd pick you."
"No you didn't," Sol muttered under her breath. She stared at the empty box of donuts on the ground. Yeah, she was the one that ate them, but to be fair the other night everyone was stealing her pizza.
(bars?)
Sam turned beet red, flinching slightly at the prolonged contact, though he had to admit that it was nice to be hugged by someone other than his parents and Julie. "Thank you– I was not as sure. You're Luca, right?"
Cameron huffed at Casey and crossed the kitchen, picking up the box and tossing it into the trash can.
“Whatever.” He glanced over at Sam and glared at him over Luca’s head, warning him to keep his mits off.
(like a rap…? I rhymed so…they call that bars? ….maybe….GRANDMA ERIS STRIKES AGAIN)
"Indeed I am." Luca grinned as she pulled away, ducking to find her hidden stash of donuts in the cabinet by her feet. She gently tucked the unopened box into Cameron's arm. "Your token seductress and acrobat. At your service." She said to Sam bowing gracefully in her pjs.
(Oh sorry)
Sam raised a hand in greeting, maybe more as surrender as Cameron gave him a glare. “Nice to meet you all.”
Cameron turned away again, huffing softly under his breath at “seductress”. He still didn’t like it, but there wasn’t much he could do. He thanked Luca gruffly and went to take a doughnut readily.
"By the way, since you two are together now, I'm adopting Sam as my new best friend in this group." Sol slung her arm over Sam's shoulder. "Anyway, I'm probably gonna head to the gym today, anyone wanna join in? I can teach you guys some martial arts."
Cameron stuck another doughnut in his mouth and went about with making his tea.
“No,” Was his brief, muffled response to Sol’s question. He had things to do that day. Well, everyday. He added his usual mix of creamer, sugar and honey, pecked Luca on the cheek and made his way to the weaponry area, since he was the blacksmith of the fucking group.
Sam blinked, surprised at the contact, but quickly relaxed. He offered Sol a tentative smile, giving a slight shrug. “Maybe another time, it’s my first day.”
"I may join you Sol, as long as we go to that gym with the Olympic gear. I need to work on some bends." Luca intoned, preparing her own cup of tea. Not bothering to hide the smirk that Cam's little kiss had left on her face. "We can still be best friends…" She muttered under her breath.
Fun fact: Sol has remarkably good hearing))
Sol shrugged. "Fine by me. And of course we can still be best friends, but I can and will replace you with Sam in events when necessary," she offered.
Sam shifted uncomfortably, moving away from the two girls to lean against the wall. “I- I don’t want to get in the way of anything-“
(Lotus, would you be ready for Casey to talk to Seth?)
“Be prepared to get in the way of everything,” Cameron called to Sam, literally the first time he talked to the boy.
Luca grinned at Sam as she leaned up against the counter, sipping her tea. "We're a big dysfunctional family here, kiddo. Get used to it. Have our backs and we'll have yours." She shrugged, her sweet demeanor not faked in the slightest. She felt that she could be the real Luca around him too. "Easy peasy right?"
“Be prepared to get in the way of everything,” Cameron called to Sam, literally the first time he talked to the boy.
Sam’s tentatively happy expression crumbled, his face immediately closing up and becoming blank, empty, devoid of emotion. “Yes, sir,” he replied quietly, voice flat to hide how hard the simple words had struck him.
"Bro. I know I watch soap operas, but I'm not gonna be that friend, stop assuming shit, or I'll eat all the doughnuts again." Sol called out at Cam. "We'Re mAtUre ADuLtS."
Cameron pushed open the room of his choice, glaring over his shoulder at Sol.
“I’ll stop being that friend when you stop giving knives to people, asshat.” And with that, he finessed himself into the smithy and shut the door.
(What? When did she give someone knives?)
Sol is the queen of knives. She is the overlord. Bow down to the master of the blades.))
