She shook her head "It doesn't matter"
She shook her head "It doesn't matter"
"If you're sure." Dylan hummed, grabbing the song book his sister had left in there. "How are you with writing lyrics?"
"oh uh I mean I have a few songs" she said
"By that, I'm assuming you mean you wrote?" Dylan asked, sitting down at the piano. Propping the book up on the stand, he rolled his long sleeves up to his mid arm.
"Yes in a blue and gold stripped notebook" she said
"How'd you feel about helping me out, then?" Dylan asked softly, looking up to her. "I'm at a mental block, and my producer wants a song in the next two weeks."
Crimson blinked a few times before sitting on the piano bench next to him
"You don't have to, if you don't want to… I'm just- never mind. What do you say? You feeling creative, and willing to help?" Dylan asked her softly, playing a gentle scale on the piano.
She smiled softly "What did you have in mind?"
"Well, I had started a love song forever ago. But like, it wasn't working. So if you're any good with those, I know my producer and manager would go berserk if I finally got one to them." Dylan hummed, glancing over to her. "But that's only if you're up to it."
She smiled "Yeah of course"
"Awesome… though I have no clue where to start." Dylan admitted, resting his elbows on the very edge of the piano. Pressing his hands together, he rested his chin on his thumbs and sighed weakly. "I'm not a romantic kind of guy."
"Well have you ever been in love or are you in love and if you think of that person it just kindve rolls off "She surrounds me, my God, she astounds me And everything she does will make me weak Take my heart now, go ahead and break my heart down
Be careful with the words you choose to speak" she sang while playing a melody on the piano
Dylan listened to her in amazement, turning his head so he could watch as well. He felt totally captivated by her, and started to feel ideas come to him. Though it wasn't as simple as she had tried to make it sound. He hadn't really been in love before. He was too busy avoiding every girl he ever met. Even when he began to peak an interest in them, he was thrown up on stage in front of millions of girls where they started to scream his name. This was a lot harder than she tried to make it sound. "You honestly have a beautiful voice… and I've sang with Camilla Cabello."
"Thank you" she blushed softly a strand of hair that had fallen loose from her ponytail, falling in her face
"Of course." He told her with a soft smile before he sighed weakly, dropping his head down to stare at the keys. It shouldn't be too hard. Dylan quickly flipped through the book, and pulled a more relaxed melody up to play. It was one that his sister had begged him to use for months. Maybe it was finally time he did so. Slowly he started, glancing between the keys and the page as he tried to think of words to go with it.
She smiled softly listening to the melody
He repeated the first line a few times, before sucking in a deep breath and just going for it. How bad could it really be? I mean, he was an experienced song writer. "No amount of stars in the sky, can compare to beautiful color of your eye. It's so strange to me, how lovely you are. Why are you the girl, that I've been waiting for? You deserve so much more…" Dylan trailed off a little bit, furrowing his brow in disappointment.
She pulled her notebook out of her overalls and began writing lyrics down swiftly
Dylan stopped the piano playing, and slumped his shoulders. "God that was awful… I told you I was bad at love songs." Dylan mumbled, dropping his head down onto the keys gently.
"can I" she asked gesturing towards the piano.
Lifting his head from off the keys, he nodded softly. "Be my guest. You're better at this anyways." Dylan hummed, scooting over so she could reach more keys. "Tell me if I'm in your way."
She played a soft melody,"He's three drinks down and he's driving fast He's calling her up, but she took a cab Back to their one room apartment Back to where it all started Walking up to the doorway Walking in just to realize he was long gone 'fore he got there Broken glass in the bathroom
Love is such a fragile dance This love is such a fragile dance She's wondering if she was right to Leave before they got that Chance to talk it all over In a text message he wrote her Love is such a fragile dance
Our love is such a fragile dance
The melody picks up
And no one knew that they were on the edge Cause life is short and love is sweet, so love until you're dead And no one knew that they were on the edge Cause life is short and love is sweet, so love until you're dead
It slows down again
He's three drinks down and he's driving fast
She's calling him back now he's reaching Car tires are screeching Car horns are screaming He's wondering if he was right to Pick a fight just to argue But he can't take it back now The last message he sent out
Life is such a fragile dance This life was such a fragile dance Love is such a fragile dance Their love was such a fragile dance
And no one knew that they were on the edge Cause life is short and love is sweet so love until you're dead And no one knew that they were on the edge Cause life is short and love is sweet so love until you're dead She's three drinks down and she's crying No fight is worth fighting No fight is worth dying "But all love is worth fighting for
Dylan listened to the words, biting on to his bottom lip. He liked it, a lot actually, yet… it didn't feel like him. It fit her perfectly though. "Honestly, you sound so good for that song." Dylan admitted, sighing softly.
She sighed "I will help you come up with a song but Thank you " she blushed again
