When he heard his phone chime, Dylan pulled his phone up so he could see who had texted her. When he saw the name tag, and read the message he responded immediately. 'Of course. Why would I not?' He texted, going to shut his phone off. Yet he paused when he thought of something. 'If you're still nervous about coming over, you don't have to. I can just mail the tickets to you.'
No I'm almost there we only live about fifteen minutes away from each other
'Alright, then I'll see you in a few. You shouldn't be texting while driving anyways.' Dylan sent her, in a mostly joking manner. He seriously doubted she would be doing that. She seemed smarter than that.
Not even ten minutes later she had pulled up to his house and shuddered she swiftly walked up to the door and knocked
If anyone were to guess where he lived, this may be the last place anyone would think. It was a simple house, not really anything special. Not much security either. Besides being a bit bigger than most normal people's houses, it was pretty simple. Large windows were displayed across the whole house, to which Dylan peered through and went to answer the door with a soft smile. "Hey, how are you?"
Crimson's face immediately lit up when she saw him " I'm good " she said
His smile pulled up a little bit more, and he held out a hand for her to come inside. "Well, welcome to my home. Probably not what you expected, but this is it. Come on in."
She walked inside "Thank you for having me" she said
"Sure thing. Oh, and if we're quiet, you shouldn't have to worry about Payton." Dylan hummed, leading her through the wide entry way. "I'm pretty sure she's in her room, so we won't see her for a couple hours. If you stay that long, that is."
She smiled sticking her hands in the pockets of her overalled shorts
Smiling back, Dylan led her into the music room. Pushing it's double french doors open, he turned to look at her. "Welcome to where the magic happens." Dylan hummed, walking up to the grand piano and running his hand across the top as he started to look through papers on a side table.
Crimson looked around the room in awe " you know when I was twelve I learned how to play the piano man on the piano" she said
Glancing up and back at her, he gestured to the piano. "It's all yours if you'd like to play it now." He insisted, smiling softly before continuing to read through different papers.
"as tempting as that is and how I'd love to play piano again I'm not going to because I Will start singing " she said
"What's wrong with that? You do know I'm a singer, right? I enjoy hearing other singer." Dylan insisted again, humming just a bit.
She walked up to the piano brushing her fingers along the keys
Finding an envelope with her name on it, he held it up with a light smile. "Found them." He told her, setting them atop the piano.
"Thank you for being so nice to me the truth is I never really had or have friends everyone would always call me names and we're always mean to me" she said
He was taken aback by her sudden confession, but smiled softly. "Hey, it's no big deal. You deserve it." Dylan told her, pulling the envelope back and pulling the two extra tickets out. "I'm assuming you don't want the extra one's, then?"
"well I can't exactly take you to my own concert" she said
"That you can't, now can you? You really don't have anyone you'd wanna take?" Dylan asked softly, sliding back over the envelope once he had taken the extra passes and tickets out.
She shook her head "I told you no one likes me"
Nodding a bit, he set the extras back on the table. "I just… find that hard to believe. I really thought humans were more evolved than that." Dylan mumbled, shrugging just a bit.
"it's really not that big of a.deal I have my dog and that's all I really need . . .I.guess" she said
Frowning just a bit, he sighed looking over to her. "It's still hard to swallow. You should have friends for sure."
