Sebastian raised her hands to his lips and pressed a gentle kiss to her knuckles. "Well, as long as you're safe now… Do you want to leave? I still have to stay, but I wouldn't be mad or upset if you didn't."
Sebastian raised her hands to his lips and pressed a gentle kiss to her knuckles. "Well, as long as you're safe now… Do you want to leave? I still have to stay, but I wouldn't be mad or upset if you didn't."
Devon’s heart skipped a beat, yet again, when he brushed his lips across her knuckles. She gave him a small smile before looking around the room.
“I think… I think I could stay for a little longer. But I’ll leave soon so that this doesn’t happen again,” she decided, giving his hands a gentle squeeze.
Sebastian nodded, taking the tiniest step closer. "Alright, sounds good. Send me a text when you get home, okay? I won't be able to see it until after, but at least I'll know you're okay."
“Sure. I’ll definitely do that,” Devon assured him. She bit her lip for a moment before stepping closer and embracing him gently. “Thank you, again…” she murmured.
Sebastian's eyes widened in surprise. Hesitantly at first, he put his arms around her, making sure that they were loose enough so that she could pull away whenever she needed. He lay his head lightly on top of hers. "You're welcome… but it's no problem, really."
You really don’t understand how much it means to me, do you?
Devon pulled back and gave him a small smile. “I think I’ll go get myself something to drink. Like a Shirley Temple. Sweet and nonalcoholic. You want anything?”
He shook his head with a small smile. “No, that’s fine. I need to get back up there soon. Here, take some money to pay for your drink.” He reached for his wallet.
“Oh, no. You don’t have to pay for it. It’s fine,” Devon insisted, reaching out to stop him. “I’ve got it.”
Sebastian hesitated, before nodding. “Alright. Stay safe.”
Devon smiled at him and gave his hand another small squeeze. “I will certainly do my best. Now, go make some amazing music.”
Flushing softly, he gave a nod. “Will do.”
(Wanna skip?)
Sure, to when?)
(Um… When he’s done? Maybe Devon ended up staying the whole time?)
(Sure)

Sebastian stepped off the raised platform with a huge smile on his face. He felt… calm, loose, relaxed, as a result of the music, when he’d expected the opposite. As he was packing up, he found his mind drifting to the song he’d begun to work on, ideas drifting through his head.
Devon made her way to the front and waited for Sebastian. She had managed to stay the rest of the time without another incident, and she was really happy about it. Sebastian was as really good at his music, so she was glad she got to hear it.
Sebastian lifted the strap of his guitar case, turning to Devon with a radiant grin. "Hey! You stayed?"
“I did, yeah. And I’m really glad that I did. You were amazing, Seb,” Devon said softly, grinning back at him.
He blushed, rubbing self-consciously at the nape of his neck. "I'm glad you stayed, too. You were alright?"
Devon nodded slowly, her smile growing a bit as she remembered how most people had stayed away from her after he had come to her rescue. “Yes, actually. Most people just left me alone after… You know…”
"Good," Sebastian said firmly, but he was smiling. "Maybe we should make you a sign to hold up…. 'Sebastian will murder you if you hurt me'."
Devon’s blush returned in full force as she thought about it, though she did chuckle softly at the idea. “That would certainly be interesting…”
He gave a lopsided grin. "Yeah. I guess this is goodnight? I'd drive you home if I had a car…"
“I also drove here, so that wouldn’t work too well,” Devon chuckled with a smile. “But, yeah, I guess it is. I’ll see you later, though.”
"See you later," he echoed, walking her out. After a brief hesitation, he dared to speak again. "Would a good night hug be alright with you?"
