"Bye, Vonnie," he teased, raising a hand in farewell. "See you?"
"Bye, Vonnie," he teased, raising a hand in farewell. "See you?"
“Yeah, I’ll see you later,” Devon chuckled, shaking her head at the nickname as she started to walk away. She paused and turned around, giving him a playful smile. “And don’t call me ‘Vonnie.’”
Sebastian stuck his tongue out at her like a tiny, petulant child. "Bye, Vons."
“Ugh, stop…” Devon groaned, barely containing her laughter as she turned around. “Bye, Sebastian.”
"Bye," he laughed, turning towards the barista.
Devon shook her head as she walked to her car, still laughing softly to herself. What a dork Sebastian was… Gosh, he was such a great, and hilarious, friend.
(Ooh, hey… Shall we add some drama after the party? Another cat-caller?)
(ooh yes)
(That sounds good.)
Devon laughed as she tried to get Layla into the dress she’d bought specifically for the party. It was pink and poofy; girly, just like Layla. People were supposed to be arriving at any minute, so she really needed to get the dress on her daughter.
Sebastian carefully tugged at the bow tied around the small gift, smiling nervously before he rang the doorbell.
“Oh, someone’s here! Let’s go see who it is, babycakes,” Devon said, grinning as she picked her daughter up and made her way to the door.
She smoothed down her soft, gray dress. It was tighter at the top, then flowed down from her waist.
I hope Sebastian likes this dress on me… she thought, blinking in shock at her own thought before opening the door with a small smile.
Sebastian's face practically lit up the moment he laid eyes on Devon, a huge smile spreading slowly over his face. "Devon– hey." A light pink rose to his cheeks.
Devon's cheeks mirrored his blush as she smiled back at him, thoroughly flustered from her thoughts of him. Of course she had been thinking about him right before he showed up… The universe just couldn't help itself, could it?
"Hey, Sebastian… It's good to see you again," she greeted him softly.
"Bahstin!" Layla exclaimed giddily, reaching out for him. "I thwee! I thwee!"
She was blushing– was that a good sign? Blushing was a good thing, right? Sebastian cleared his throat awkwardly. "You– You too." He smiled down at Layla, offering her the gift. "Happy Birthday, cutie."
Layla gasped as she saw the pretty present, taking it in her little hands. "Pwetty…" she sighed, holding onto it tightly.
Devon chuckled and took a step back into the apartment. "Come on in, Sebs. Drinks are on the island if you want one."
"Thanks," he told her warmly, red creeping slowly up his neck. "And if you call me Sebs, I will call you Vonnie." He entered, shoulders relaxing.
"Aw, I thought you liked it… What about just 'Seb', then?" Devon asked, closing the door behind him and setting Layla down.
"Mayybe.." Sebastion hummed, bopping Layla's nose as he went by. "But Bahstin is superior to all."
(xD I'm loving the bio thing we can do now)
(Bio?)
Layla giggled when he tapped her nose and hurried after him, her gift still clutched to her chest. Devon watched her daughter in amusement as they walked into the kitchen.
"Of course. That will never change," she chuckled lightly, picking up a light pink cup and scooping bright red punch into it from a clear bowl.

"Oh my god she's waddling towards me." Sebastian grinned, kneeling down to meet the tiny child. "Oh my god she's so adorable."
(Woah, what? When did that happen???)
Devon laughed lightly at Sebastian's excitement. "You do happen to be one of her favorite people, you know."
Layla grinned and tried to hold out her arms for him to pick her up, but she dropped her present in the process. After picking it back up, she tried again, through with the same result. This was very upsetting for her, so she stuck her bottom lip out, chin quivering.

with the new update I love it so much)
"Aw, poor baby," he told the toddler softly, picking up in one hand and her in the other. Glancing up at Devon, he dared a teensy attempt at flirtation. "Am I one of your favourite people too?"
(Oh my gosh, poor Devon. Lol.)
Devon's cheeks exploded into bright pink at the question, and she blinked at him a few times before her mouth would finally form words.
"W-well… I– I mean, yeah… You're, uh, kind of my, um– my best friend," she stuttered, silently cursing her pale skin for showing her blush so well.
(Lmao)
Sebastian’s grin— at both her blush and her words— rivaled the sun. “Really? I am?”
I don't think I'll ever get used to his smile… Gosh, I really like his smile…
Devon gave him a small, extremely flustered smile as she nodded her affirmation. "Yeah… I mean, we see each other so much, and you've been a really great friend…"
