"Oh, that's fun. Right now I'm an office worker, though I'll probably quit that here soon and start something else" Jess replies.

"An office worker, where do you work? "

Jess snorts.

"A boring insurance place" she sends back.

"Ooo okay is it's just a cubicle office? "

"Yeah. . . why does it seem like you find that interesting?" Jess asks, a bit confused.

"Ah my dad used to work in one of those.. But he worked for a big company, apple I think but I just wanted to see the charm or understand why people work at places like that. "

Jess snorts.

"There is no charm to it, it's all sitting around all day getting yelled at by customers because we don't cover something very specific"

"Hm sounds spectacular, I've never asked why my dad liked apple so much I kinda wish I could ask.. "

"Trust me, the only good part is the money, and there isn't even that much of it" Jess shoots back.

"Yeah.. I got the part about basically no money, my parents got divorced over it.. And my dad was diagnosed with cancer right after. "

Jess pauses.

"I'm sorry about your parents. . ."

"It was like 15 years ago it's okay"

"Well, if you're sure it's okay"

"I was young and it affected me then but not anymore "

Jess nods to herself.

"I understand that. . . after all, both my parents are dead"

Nikki made somewhat of a pained expression and typed out a response

"Oh.. I'm sorry for your loss that must have been hard. "

Jess shrugs.

"I. . . never really knew my mom. My dad's death was harder on me, since he raised me on his own, and kept up with his daughter's needs"

"oh yeah i barely knew my father he wasn't ever home always working or so he said and my mom…..well she wasn't exactly mother of the year either but i under stand the pain though."

Jess pauses, then sighs to herself.

"Enough of this deppressing talk"

"Okay then what will we talk about? "

"I dunno- what do you want to talk about?" Jess asks.

"I have no idea.. "

Jess sighs and chuckles.

"You're kinda useless when it comes to social interaction, aren't you?"

"short answer…..yes." she laughed and shook her head it was true though

"The long answer is lasting trauma do to generational problems, right?" Jess replies, laughing to herself.
