Ayala waved goodbye and went and got back in her car.
Ayala waved goodbye and went and got back in her car.
Apollo headed into his apartment, locking and shutting the door after he saw her roll out. Not long after he went and crashed on his bed, not bothering to change.
(Skip?)
(Sure!)
The next day, Ayala came and picked Apollo up. She was back in her cat costume.
Apollo was waiting out on his front porch, bow on his forehead still. He grinned as he saw Ayala, coming over to her. "Hey!"
"Hi! You ready to go?"
“Yup! As long as you are!” Apollo hummed, climbing in the front seat.
Forrest was in the backseat, hidden behind a book.
Apollo didn't notice her right away, eventually looking back to see her. He smiled gently. "Hey, how are you?"
Forrest didn't even bother to look up from her book. Ayala chuckled.
"She's salty because I dragged her along," she said. "Forrest, tell Apollo what your costume is."
Forrest looked over the top of her book and said, without a touch of emotion, "An extrovert."
Apollo tried not to laugh to hard, only chuckling when she responded.
"I like it," He snickered, leaning back in his seat. "Where's the introvert to you extrovert?" Apollo asked as he looked back at her.
"We were hoping you would fill the role," Ayala said, starting the car.
"Oh?" Apollo hummed, blinking in surprise. Glancing back at her, he smiled softly.
"Well, I'd love to fill the role. If you really want me to." He hummed with a little snicker.
Ayala grinned. "Of course we really want you to, don't we, Forrest?"
Forrest said nothing. She had disappeared behind her book again.
Apollo snickered, resting his head back against the seat. "Well, I'd be happy to." He hummed softly.
"I'm happy to do whatever you need me to."
"Then you can help me persuade Forrest to wear a costume," Ayala said gleefully. They were on their way to her apartment now.
"I thought she was being an extrovert?" Apollo hummed, looking over to Ayala. "Or was that just an excuse not to wear something?"
"I want to make her wear cat ears," Ayala said.
"Mm… if you don't make her socialize too much, maybe you could convince her." Apollo hummed, looking back at Forest. "What do you say?"
Forrest said nothing. Ayala just grinned.
"C'mon, it's part of the fun of Halloween. I'll wear some too, if it makes things better." Apollo hummed, turning around even more to look at her. "It'll be fun."
Forrest didn't respond.
"C'mon, Forrest, it'll be fun," Ayala pleaded.
The girl was silent.
Apollo sighed dramatically, leaning back into his seat.
"Fine, I guess she'll never comply… Guess we can have all the fun." He hummed, with a little sigh. "Too bad, I was hoping to hang out with her."
"Forrest doesn't hang out," Ayala said. They were near her house.
"I exist," Forrest said.
"Is that so?" Apollo inquired, looking back at her.
"Well, that really is a shame. I was hoping to get to know you better."
