He nodded and closed his eyes again, "Alright then, as long as I don't have to go through the whole thing if I can't handle it I'm good to go."

She closed her eyes and then took a deep breath, before slowly using her magic to project her memory into Callin's mind. She grabbed his hand for a feeling of security in case it started to get too much for her.

He braced himself for her memories, not knowing exactly what he would see. When she grabbed his hand he squeezed it lightly.

Nat's eyes started to glow a soft scarlet, signifying that she was projecting the memory. It started to intensify as her heart started racing, but she kept the memories there. She needed someone to see it.

As the memories started playing he visibly frowned, squeezing her hand again as he watched what she had gone through.

She flinched slightly at the sight of her father's livid face. Her scar pulsed slightly, as if with the memory of the infliction. She kept her hand on Callin's face but dropped to the ground just before Nathan was to slice off her leg. She couldn't endure that again.

He winced throughout most of the memories, shaking his head slightly but knowing he would be able to understand Nat more if he got through the memories.

Tears started to pool in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall. "I'm sorry," She said softly. "I…I couldn't go through that again. The betrayal I felt from Nathan…I just couldn't."

"It-it's alright," He said softly, gently dropping to the ground next to her and rubbing his arms, "That…was terrifying…."

She looked up at him, eyes shining. "At least you know what happened now," She added, voice quiet. "I couldn't have told you in another way."

He nodded and continued rubbing his arms, “Now I just have to live with the fact that I’ll never forget about that.” He said softly, looking up at her, “Have you ever forgotten anything about that?”

She shook her head. "No, I'd never be able to forget anything. It was too painful. I remember my father basically throwing me into a small room in the basement. I spent the night healing my leg, but I couldn't heal anything else."

"So I won't be the only one that remembers that forever." He said, pushing a small smile onto his face to try to lighten the mood.

"No, you won't be. But that's a good thing. Because at least I have someone to talk to about it. So if I ever need help, I can go to you. And I know you'll be there."

"I wish I could show you what I went through.." He looked up at her and sighed, "Sadly, I can only remember everything, not show people everything."

She glanced at him. "I…I can do that too," She whispered. "I've done it before. If people don't want to remember a certain part of their life, I go through their memories until I find the one they want gone. Then I get rid of it."

He shook his head, “But I can’t forget, it’s my curse. Every detail of every minute of my life I remember, I’ve tried to get rid of them before.”

"What I'm trying to say is that I can see what you went through. I only have to sift through your memories until I find what I'm looking for. That is, only if you let me."

"Do you want to see what I went through though?" He asked in almost a whisper, "It's not as bad as yours…but still.."

"I showed you mine, so it's only fair if I see yours," She replied. "Besides, if you say it's not as bad as mine I should be able to handle it. Right?"

He nodded and rubbed his arms, “I suppose, you can see it if you want.” He glanced around and tilted his head down slightly, blowing out a small breath.

"I don't have to see, Callin," Nat sighed. "I'll only look if you want me to." She had faint tear stains from when she had started crying before.

"No, you can, I don't mind," He replied, his voice still soft, "Just…don't mess anything up in my head more than it already is, alright?"

"I won't," She said, her eyes showcasing that she was telling the truth. "What…what am I looking for? In there, I mean."

He thought for a moment, "Just look for my childhood…it started when I was about 4, so anytime after that.."
