Name: Nataleigh “Nat” Gray
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Demiromantic
Appearance: Nat has pale skin with a few freckles. Her hair is waist length, similar to a crimson colour and typically in a fishtail or simple braid. Her right eye is a stunning green, and her left eye is a dull pale grey. Her defining feature is a scar that looks similar to a lighting scar (for inspo look at realistic harry potter scar). The scar starts just to the right of the centre of her forehead. It spreads down most of the left side of her face and ends in trickles on her neck. It just so happens to cover her left eye, which is simply grey and not blind. Her left leg also ends in a stump just below her knee.
Style: Anything Nat wears has to accommodate her leg, so she usually just wears dresses and flats. She does have a prosthetic leg which is normally nearby, but she prefers to use a crutch.
Personality: Nat is closed off and defensive. She doesn’t trust easily, but when she does it would not be wise to betray that trust. She has slight anger issues, and her outbursts of anger are intensified by her powers. She only wishes for someone to love and let into her heart, but she’s scared to do that.

Background: Nat’s father was abusive. He was better when she was young, but still abused her mother. When Nat reached 7, he started to turn on her. At first it was a simple hit here and there, but as she grew older it grew to full blown attacks. Her mother died when she was 10, and her older brother Nathan did nothing to help her. She came to hate both her father and her brother, but didn’t have the strength to run. From age 12, she started to endure rape from her father that her brother was forced to watch, but Nat thinks Nathan willingly watched. When she was 16, Nat’s father finally lost it. He attacked her and used his electrokinesis to give her the scar she has. He then forced Nathan to use his plasma blades to slice Nat’s leg off. After that, he threw her in a room in the basement and locked her in there. She spent the night using her powers to heal her leg to a stump, hands shaking. The next morning, she used her powers to kill her father and her brother, and passed it off as an act of self-defence. She was sent to foster care but ran away. She vowed to trust only a few people.
Powers: Chaos magic. This includes -
Reality warping; Magic probability manipulation; Teleportation; Matter manipulation; Time manipulation; Energy projection, manipulation and absorption
She is skilled at controlling it but can lose control when she is mentally unstable. This doesn’t happen often, but it’s usually like a switch flicking in her brain.

Name: Callin Whist
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bi but leans towards girls
Appearance: He has very shaggy sandy blonde hair and untrusting chestnut brown eyes that contrast with his light but not pale skin tone. He has faint scars on his arms and back but tries to hide them with long sleeves and things like that. Overall he's really thin and with his 5'8" height it caused another reason for him to be pushed around.

Personality: Soft and shy, he tends to keep to himself. He's really skittish if people seem to be targeting him and cannot seem to get himself to stand up to people if they're bothering or pushing him around. More TBD

Dislikes: Crowds, people that could hurt him, alcohol of any kind
Background: Very abusive father who was almost always drunk and angry. His mother left as soon as his little brother Theo (4 years younger) was born which left Callin to take care and protect his sibling. He grew up protecting his brother from the physical abuse from his father though he couldn't stop the verbal from affecting Theo. When he was a teenager he and his dad fought constantly and that's where he received his bigger scars on his back, from trying to keep Theo and himself safe. Eventually though, his father broke and attacked Theo while Callin was at work, putting him in nearly fatal conditions (I promise I'll put more asap)
Powers: He thinks of his power as a curse, the power of a perfect memory of everything he's seen or experienced

"You wanna know why I don't trust people?" Nat asked Callin. "I don’t trust anyone because of what my dad and my brother did to me. "I know you don't trust people," He said in his signature soft and easily forgotten voice, "I'm not going to say I understand what you've went though, because I don't, I only know what I've gone though."

She was silent for a few moments. "I could show you what I experienced," She said softly. "I can do that. My magic allows me. But…only if you're OK with it."

Callin nodded softly, "I'm fine with it, only if you're alright with it though."

Nat took a deep breath, knowing that she wanted Callin to know this. She placed her forehead on his, her hand coming to rest on the side of his face as she used her magic to show him what happened.

He closed his eyes and focused on her hand on his cheek instead of the nervousness that washed over him at the thought of what she had to go through and seeing what she went through.

She took another deep breath, steadying herself. In order to show Callin her past, she had to relive it in her mind. She wasn't ready for it, but she needed to be.

"One question," He asked softly, "If your past is too frightening, is there any way to stop seeing it?"

"If you get rid of your past, you get rid of the things that make you who you are," She replied. "If I make it so that my past never exists, I lose what makes me me. And I can't do that to myself. Even if it's the easiest thing to do."

"So no?" He said, opening his eyes to look at her while he waited for her to be ready to show him her past.

"Well, yeah. My magic allows me to remove memories from people's minds, as well as my own. Even though I've done it to desperate people before, I'd never be able to bring myself to do it to myself."
