She sheilded her face with her hair, trying to hide a laugh "thats not funny and I shouldn't be laughing." She breathed in and tried to hold in her giggles "I'm do sorry, but I have to." She burst out into laughter, "she was so desperate for her show back that she agreed to that? Oh my gods… I will never understand you higher gods."
“No! No it’s fine!” Shiloh laughed along, “I find it just as hilarious! My mom is so embarrassed by it I didn’t learn about the story until I annoyed her so much she told me!”
"aw, she's embarrassed to be with Hermes?" She asked, finally calming down from her laughing fit "poor thing must be heartbroken. Hermes not your mom."
“Haha! Probably, I haven’t seen him around much, so I wouldn’t know, but he must be.” He sighed in contentment at being here with someone like her, “But Yeah, poor guy.”
"I cant imagine what it's like for him, not being with the one you love. My dad probably ly can though. The 6 months he has to spend without mom is torture for him."
“Oh, I bet.” He nodded understandingly, “I haven’t had that experience of being estranged from a soulmate, but…” he looked over at her. His smile had faded into a more solemn intrigue, “… I might,”
He glanced over at him "you? Or the girls waiting in line for you?" She asked, trying to force down the blush that crept up her face as she saw his expression
He raked his teeth of his bottom lip briefly before answering, “Me. I don’t even know if the girls waiting for me are even waiting anymore. I might have said some impulsive things about being back, but the connection was never there enough to consider marrying them for the rest of time. At least—“ he took in a breath, how would she take this? ”—not until recently.”
"exactly how recent?" She asked, resting her chin on her hand. "And if the girls can't take a bit of their own medicine, it's not worth it."
“Pretty recently,” he decided to leave it at that, “But usually I find that the lack of connection goes both ways. They wouldn’t want to marry me either, except for the possible admission into Mount Olympus.”
She nodded "I mean that is a pretty big plus." She muttered teasingly. "So they want nothing to do with you once they're with you? That's just dumb…"
“I mean, pretty much.” He Agreed, “But I can be guilty of it too, I am the god of chaos and passion, not faithfulness.” He pursed his lips and shrugged, “Doesn’t mean I can’t be faithful, though.”
"you just haven't found the right one to be faithful to. It would be wrong to commit yourself to someone just for neither of you to be satisfied with your lives." She said, laying back and curling up on her side
Shiloh laid down beside her, propping himself up on his elbow, “That’s some good wisdom..Have you found anyone to pledge your life to?”
She shook her head "no,mostly because i havn’t found the one who'll over look my appearence. Or someone who's a good companion,"
The spark of hope swelled a little bigger in his chest, “That’s really interesting.. Well, I hope the best for you, Kendall.” He would definitely be seeing her again, he decided.
she raised an eyebrow "Oh? how is that interesting to you? unless," she smiled "you were interested?" She laughed "This sounds like a departure, though I'm fairly certain it's not our last." She stood and bowered to Shiloh
He hopped up to his feet again, offering to take her hands once more. A light flush had gathered on his cheeks, “I certainly hope not. Will you meet me here tomorrow at the same time?”
She laughed again, entertained by the blush that arose on his cheek and neck "I think I can get away for a bit tomorrow. it doesn't seem that you're giving much of a choice anyways." she glanced down at their hands and blushed
“No not really, I’ll see you then.” He pressed a kiss to her hand then took a couple steps away, letting her hand fall.
Shee nodded and let her hand drop, the wind picked up a bit, tossing her hair to the side "I'll see you then."
He waved loosely, then turned around to walk back down the hill.
(Skip? Also I might have an idea unless you’d like to be Aphrodite)
(i'm curious to see you're idea and ya skip)
Kendalla watched him walk off and sat in the grass "what are you doing?" She held her handds in her hands "you fall for the first guy who compements you're wit and now you've so mehow fallen in love? With a god no less! we all know how that freaking goes." she sighed and shook her head "he's the god of passion and chaos, two beautifully dangerous things that no man should be in control of, yet the one you happen to meet is freaking gorgeous! you've messed up…bad. It doesn't have to go as far as dating? Yeah, he'll probably skip over that part just like his father did No, you can't think about him like that, he's different. that's what he wants you to think."
(Ok!)
Some time later, no more than an hour, a woman with the longest blonde hair, which must have reached her mid back, walked up to the hill, “Kendalla, is it?” She called. This woman looked no older than Shiloh, but then again goddesses don’t physically age. Especially Aphrodite.
kendalla sat up from her position on the ground and glanced up, immediatly knowing who it was without having to be told. She bowed respectufully to the goddess "yes," was all she could muster to say before her throat closed up
“There’s no need for that, love,” She smiled and rested a light hand on Kendalla’s shoulder, “Shiloh spoke you well of you, I had to meet you myself.”
She nodded and shyly stood straight "I'm not worth you're attention, and surely not your son's either." she said
Aphrodite waved her hand in dismissal, “You’re Hades’ daughter, Kendalla. You deserve more attention than you think.” Her smile turned more into a smirk with one raising one eyebrow, “..He did say you were very beautiful.”
She blushed, "he…he did?" She squeaked "surly nothing compared to you." She glanced up "is there something you needed from me?" She asked
“Mm..” she tilted her head, assessing Kendall for a good two seconds, “Maybe. But as of needing something from you, no. I just wanted to talk, maybe take a walk with you. I only want the best for my son, as you know.”
