(Nah ur good.)
Mina was about to comment that Mr. Hyde was a very strange man when Anna walked in. Mina rose to her feet, a look of wide-eyed concern on her face.
"We found strange boils on his skin, other than that nothing's changed," she said, looking between them. "Are you alright? Did something happen?"
"Nothing…" Robert glanced off to the side, looking distracted.
(Small bump)
“Robert had a little delusion, one he thinks you all shared. That I, fearless as I am… screamed.” Anna chuckled, waving a hand. “We should leave. If everyone is present and accounted for I see no reason why staying in this hellhole would be logical. When we have a game plan we can rescue the others and fix this mess once and for all.” Hyde looked to her suspiciously, but said nothing, looking too sick to handle himself.
(I’ve completely forgotten what I had in mind for this plot and I kinda want to restart the whole story in hopes of making like, actual characters. Send helpppppp.)
(Basic plot if we did restart: Robert and crew and Victor and creature come back to London to stay with Anna and Margaret. Victor eventually leaves and takes on an street rat apprentice, working at a local hospital and tutoring said street rat kid into becoming a civilized member of society out of the goodness of his heart. Kid finds fragments of Victor’s research, and with the little medical knowledge he has strikes out on his own to do science shit. Victor is heartbroken and also doesn’t know kid has been snooping around in his notes, but allows him to leave, meanwhile creature has been staying with Anna, Robert, and Margaret with a subplot on adopting Esme for the angst turned comfort points. Suddenly it’s been two years since they arrived in London and reports of the dead coming back to life have come up, the dead have come back to life specifically as serial cannibals so that’s worrying, anyways Victor obviously isn’t in the wrong here but he is worried. Turns out his apprentice did a stupid, several stupids, and now refuses to work his way out of his shit. Anyways, that’s all I got but stay tuned for more because I find that this may actually work out better than any other plot I have in mind so far lol.)
(Oooooo ok ok. I think I’m okay with this, honestly all I want is to see Victor and Robert’s relationship. And also Mina and Jonathan to show up)
(Okay! Sounds good, I’m just getting a bit frustrated with my popcorning of ideas and stuff lol.)
(Lol yeah I get it, hopefully it will make this more enjoyable)
(makes sense.)
(Aaaa doppelgänger Anna does give me bad vibes so I’m afraid to reply to this djkddkjcd)
"Well, we definitely heard a scream." MIna's brow furrowed. "And it seemed to be the same distance away as you would've been after you went out of the room. It can't be a delusion or a coincidence, but if you're alright, then…" Her eyes looked over them all. "Yes, there's no reason to stay. I've seen enough to where I can definitely file a proper investigation into this place."
Something held her lips into her a frown as she caught Hyde's suspicious look. It surprised her to realize that she shared the same feelings as he did, but…
When I met Anna, she told me was scared. Very scared. What made her so fearless all of a sudden?
Robert snapped back to the present. He turned his attention to Victor, kneeling down beside him. "Strange boils…?" he muttered, half to himself and half to Mina. As he looked over the small man– god, he looked so tiny now– he caught the curious purple blotches covering Victor's face and neck. Robert cursed under his breath, then looked to Anna's direction.
"If we're ready to leave, then we should tend to this moron first. Do you think Dr. Jekyll will know anything about what's happening to him?" he asked.
Hyde looked up to Robert before Anna could answer. "If you say the name of that fucker one more time I will rip out your damned spine with me teeth. I doubt he'll know anything, this is a mystic matter better treated by the mystics themselves." he said. "I talk of alchemy. What your Victor friend seems very experienced in, judging by his story." he laughed. "We'll head back to my house, it's safest there."
Victor stirred again, but remained mostly still. His eyes fluttered open for the briefest second, then closed again, and Anna nodded. "We do need to get this idiot out of here before he bleeds out, I'll carry him."
(Bump)
(:’))
Robert couldn’t help but flinch at the raisin’s threat. It was probably a bluff, he was definitely stronger than the sickly man, but still…
He looked and saw that his clothes were covered in Victor’s blood. Shuddering and not looking at Anna, he said, “It’s alright, I can do it. He’s not that heavy, anyway.”
Gently, carefully, he took Victor’s small body into his arms. The fluttering of his eyes let a glimmer of hope enter Robert’s heart, but his expression was still grim. He remembered the creature and Ishtar, and sighed.
“Alchemy…” he murmured. Suddenly he felt tired. “I suppose the doctor doesn’t know much of alchemy. I suppose we’ll go to the murderer’s home, then.”
Mina put her non-broken arm over her mouth in surprise and looked at the raisin. “Mr. Hyde, you’ve committed murder?”
Hyde sighed. "DO I LOOK LIKE I HAVEN'T?" he shouted, mostly to thin air rather than the others in the room. His voice was obviously warped now, and it looked like he was shedding off pieces of skin progressively. "I'm sorry, temper got a-hold of me. But it should be obvious by now that I'm the least morally sound in the group, and murder of all things should not come as a surprise."
Anna laughed at Hyde's words, with the same tone and cadence of a drunk. "Well, I didn't expect that. Good job, Mr. Hyde, for whatever you accomplished with your childish shouting."
“Oh dear,” Mina said, shaking her head. “Well, you’re better than a violent, reanimated corpse.”
Robert flinched again. “Please don’t do that again, Hyde. Let’s just go.” He started toward the door they had originally come through, disliking the atmosphere, both of the room and between the people around him. When did Anna ever laugh and compliment Mr. Hyde? He now wondered silently. Especially at a time like this.
"She isn't violent! She's, she's, s'posed to be for the other violent reanimated corpse!" Victor clearly misinterpreted, waking up to provide very confusing and inconveniently vague exposition for all who weren't in the know. Anna whispered that she'd explain on their way out the door. "Look, I know what he means by that. Anyone who read the news can put together the pieces. But I don't know why we needed to know that."
"Look! Everyone shut up! Victor, shut up especially!" Anna said, hushing. "Look, we need to stay on task. I feel if we don't get out now something bad will happen, so let's go." she said, striding towards the door as Hyde hobbled along, waving for the rest to follow.
(Okay uh, I hope this doesn’t end up being another case where I get super confused about smth, but I am confused about what he said. I mean, I know it’s supposed to be confusing, but the way you put it made it sound like smth I should know. What exactly does Victor mean?)
(Ishtar lol)
(Chushjsahjsaihsa okay thank you ^^;)
(No problemo)
(Sorry for my absence ^^;)
“Shhh,” Robert hissed to Victor, feeling rather miserable but also relieved that Victor could at least still speak. “Save your breath, I don’t think that’s what she meant.”
Mina was one of the ones who was confused, as the papers sometimes conflicted with each other, as well as the fact that she’d had enough of reanimated corpses anyway. She was silent, falling back behind the the group before picking up the pace and following behind the rest.
When they were finally outside, it seemed almost pitch black with how bright it was, you could barely see. This was night and light all at once, it made no sense but that was how this place worked. Hyde led the group to the stables, where extra transportation was for leaving unseen. "Right. We'll lead the horses to the gates, and then get in and let them take us the rest of the way. Don't worry, the flesh eating beasts they used… uh, the horses ate them before they could get to the flesh eating bit." Hyde explained, leashing up the horses to attach to a carriage.
“How do you know that?” Robert asked. His mind was feeling numb, but it did still strike him as odd. He went over to the carriage and carefully set Victor inside.
Mina was quiet, about to ask if she could help, but a little afraid to for some reason.
